There are many pp like that. There was a middle age woman who wanted to sue my brother for 'pushing her'. She kaki fell down in a crowded mall, my bro so nice send her to clinic, then she wanted to sue him, said he made her fall down. His stupid lawyer advised him to settle and he paid a few thousand dollars to her for 'emotional' and 'health' damage.

So our lesson learned is, never help anyone in case u get sued.

Where to buy the pear soap? Issit effective? Is JH rashes better now? How did the doc diagnose JH having dust allergy? Ethan recently had rashes outbreak mainly on his neck and shoulders. There is no change in his diet and I now ban seafood totally. Last time he could still take certain type of fish. I went to NTUC to buy the Nan HA2 for him to try this morning. He hates it! Now I hv a tin sitting in the kitchen cabinet. Dunno wat to do with it.

i bought the pear soap from medical hall. unity sells it also but more ex. u know the medical hall at west plaze? the tong de tang. it sells at 1.60 per bar.

i was using it since that time JH had bad rashes. this time round he had no rash but sensitive nose and nose keeps dripping. actually all along we know he got sensitive nose but this time round is the worst. the doc used this light to look inside his nose and the insides were swelling. JH also has slight eczema. does NAN HA2 help in allergies?

is E having ezcema?

Hi mummies,

I have been to Frisk and romp last week at Big Splash.

I personally don;t quite like it. The play structure is really small. The good thing is they incorporate things like "story telling or games, or puppet show" in the 1 hour play.

I was there during the 'games' period and after the first game, some older kids suggested playing catching and the staff agrees. I find the staff let the kids rule the game instead of them controlling the situation. Megan was nearly knocked down a couple of times by the older kids. Plus the play area is not rubberised so with socks the floor is slippery. Hence i find playing catching really dangerous.

The only slide is quite steep and i am not prepared to let megan sit on her own. I went down with her on the slide and as adult are much heavier, i nearly slide out of the rubberised area. I had to use my feet to 'knock' onto the pole to stop myself from flying out. But kids are lighter so they should be able to stop within the rubberised area. To be fair, there is always a staff at the bottom to catch the kids in case they can;t stop. Maybe they realise the problem and place a staff there?

Overall, i prefer Go Go Bambini at Dempsey or the one at Downtown East. The 'tunnels' at downtown east are transparent and allows you to see your kids where ever they are whereas the tunnels at GGB is the plastic colour tube type where you can;t see where your kids crawl. Can be quite tramatised for the younger kids if they can;t figure their way out.

Thinking of trying Figets at Turf city thou. Anyone been there? care to share your comments?

I was also about to ask when is good time to bring our kids for screening... because I'm alittle worry as Kyler seems to have squints - I hope I'm totally wrong!
Tho PD has explain due to Asian eyes shape, bbs may seems squints at younger stage and will out grown it, to her she think it's alrgiht.
But I still worry la.
On the other hand, I wonder if it will be accurate to bring a 7mth bb for screening anyway or just wait a little longer.

SY - yeah i agree with you that they have to be trained since young for car seat. C doesn;t like it and we never force him ..so till today, he doesn't sit in one. we are training the young one now though. hee.. but the thg abt car seat is that it takes up too much space. with the maid ard, it makes it even more squeezy and hb will start hinting abt chging to a bigger car.

sy/mashy/tracy - oh C is very very afraid of his daddy. whenever he refused milk, once i say "daddy is coming" and he will guai guai finish his milk. haha...i know its not a good thing but sometimes must really use the magic word to get him to do thgs.

tabby - can we use adult eye drops for kids? recently, C has been rubbing his eyes and it turned red. so we gave him eyedrop by refresh. shld be ok right?

tracy - all the best for opting natural. do update us. big baby is ok as long as healthy.

sysac/may - well at least u can claimed ur damages. my car got hit early this mth and they just left my car with a dented bumper and a smashed head light at the rear. we have still yet to fix it. sigh..

Haha! Meg has weaned off her pacifier! Last Saturday MIL applied 'bitter grass' on her pacifier, when she tasted it, she immed shouted 'i want water!' From then on, she din dare to put it into her mouth. BUT she still asks for it when about to sleep, just to hold it in her hand. Yesterday night she stopped asking for it.

last evening we borrowed a booster seat from SIL to try on Meg. Aiyo...at that point I also thinking we need a bigger car! I was so squashed!! And Meg only agreed to sit in the booster seat if it's placed in the middle.

i bought my booster seat liao. waiting for it to be delivered. JH kept trying it out that day when we went to see. he seems pretty excited. i hope my #2 will be ok with car seats.

yesterday JH so funny. me and hb trying to take a nap and we also trying to make him nap. he just lie there and kept singing to himself. usually when u ask him to sing, he won't sing. then when we trying to sleep he kept singing non stop. he can sing a few songs now. but not much tune. but can tell the words quite clearly. he even manage a chinese song...

Haha, i can imagine them fighting and when you bring out your camera, they stop and hug to pose for a picture, then continue fighting again. Haha.

Mine fight too. Just last night we were at a pizza joint and there is a cosy play area for kids. Ashely was building blocks and megan knock it all down in one sweep. Ashley was so mad that she cried and scream at the same time with megan screaming back and try to pinch ashley etc.......... so embarrasing. the whole restaurant only us and another table occupied but the whole restaurant was full of their noise..... My grandma always say one child at home equals to ten adults having conversation..........

How to tell if it is a squint?

AShley's eyes looks like squinting whenever she takes picture. When she was two, the PD check and said it's ok (She check using a torch light), it was the nose bridge or something and will outgrown it. But Ashley is already 4.5 years old..........

SHould i bring her for a check up? Her school had a eye screening recently and i didn;t hear anything for them so i assume everything is ok..........

Errmm.. both my delivery is assisted cos bb din engaged. Dunno if it's due to my structure or cos they are big. Both of them were still high up even after induce so no choice got to be assisted but Thankfully the head go back into shape pretty fast.

I remember you sharing that your boy is also using ventolin etc.........

I had recently bought some dried crocodile meat with some 'nan xing and bei xing' - the chinese almond.

So far so good. Megan used to have coughs once a month and have to see a doctor at least once in two months for 'near wheezing'. I can tell after so many episodes.

I bought the crocodile meat just before chinese new year and so far megan has drank about 3 times, once a week for the first and second times, then break for a week.

Just to share that i find megan's condition improve.

re: tantrums
Clariss has been throwing a lot of tantrums these days. we suspect that she doesn't have enough sleep in her child care but we are not exactly sure. she will be super cranky in the evening and she will keep crying and throw herself around with total disregards to her own safety. it's as if she is not in control of her emotions. she will be very unreasonable as well and doesn't want to wear her clothes or drink milk and nothing can coax her to calm down. we have not tried beating her but when we threatened to beat her, she will scream for us to beat her. I really don't know what to do.
Her sch teacher says she has never behaved that way in sch and when she cries, they will say that they will stop talking to her until she calm down which she normally does after a while. Anyone experience this kind of behavior from ur toddlers and what did you do?

did u check with the teacher how long she slept in cc? in the past when she doesn't have enough sleep will she be like that?

sometimes may really need the hard method. if JH does that, i know my hb wd have given him the cane treatment liao....

usually if he throws tantrums, i will just walk away and ignore him. it usually gets him running to me and after a while he will calm down.

btw, the medela stuff is here. how do u wan me to pass to u?

hmmm, maybe u should identify the prob rather than using the cane mtd in this instance since you suspect that there might be more than meets the eye. It's probably her showing frustration over something. But what? Hmmm... My boy is usually cranky when he's hungry and will start to throw tantrums. The prob is that he doesn't tell us that he's hungry. So whenever he throws tantrums, one of the things we find ourselves asking is if he's hungry. Maybe Clariss is like u said not getting enough sleep. Or maybe there's othher reasons for it?

Perhaps u might also wanna find some methods of calming her down, like music or massage?

Could it be that she's not feeling well?

Clariss sounded like D when he 1st started cc even though it was for 1/2 day. They would behave perfectly normal and even angelic in school, but the moment he reaches home, he was super tantumous!!! It was a trying period for us and we've used the cane ( to which he cried somemore), the time-out method or when we noticed that he was throwing tantrums and rubbing his eyes then we will send him to bed earlier, if he refused milk, we don't bother giving to him either. It took awhile to settle but D learnt that he cannot get his way or things done by crying and laying on the floor (he's very fond of doing that even when outside!), and during this period we kept emphasizing that he still need to say his "Please" for something he wants and indicate rather than just go "eh-Eh-eH-EH!!".

I did ask his CC teacher if this is a normal behaviour and they said ,"Yes!!" They had the same feedback from almost every parent on their child's behaviour and they were surprised that their child was so orderly, happy to follow the class routine in school and they turn into some tantrumous monsters at home! So I guess have to be really patient with Clariss for now. If she does things that warrants discipline action, do it; if she needs to be cuddled and hugged; do it; if she throws her tantrums and start to kick around and does it much more when the adults try all the more to stop what she's doing, then ignore it and surprisingly, they will stop coz they realize they aren't getting attention for the tantrums. I realize that the more we try to stop and pay attention to their tantrums, the more they will "play it up".

if megan's condition maintian then it is good coz i try tat on e but doesn't work.. i think is condition is worse.. so for sambucol seems to be the solution .. take 6 weeks stop 2 weeks and it is good to bu the lungs too..

haha, my hb said instead of sending maids to english lessons, why not send ourselves to take malay. hahaha. Then even if we have to change maids, no need to the new maids for lessons again.
