Thanks for the advise but robinson only selling bb pram with 2 position. Should i buy one that can adjust more position or nb can sleep on the 2 position pram?u know wat i mean?

vone, i heard yr story from snoopy. how are you feeling now? i totally underst the feeling of helplessness when pushed into the OT, panicky and so uncertain. aren't we glad it's over? =)
for me, i choose with epidural cos i wanted my hubby beside me and i also want to hear my baby gal first cry. I think for my next birth, i will straight away opt for c section with epidural, cos my gynae commented that my pelvic bone seems to be too narrow, which is so surprising! so it doesn't mean big buttock can give birth! my buttock so big but my birth canal is narrow.
btw vone, did you take a look at yr c section scar? and are you avoiding any food, e.g. chicken or eggs?

My mum also helping me with confinement. Furthermore, my hubby also staying with us at my mum's plc... MIL ask hubby to give my mum a $60 angbao on the 1st day as a confinement token, end of confinement, we intend to give another sum (~$1-2K wat's the rate?)...

My boy poo 3-4 times per day.. but sometimes its just a little bit.
As for pee... hmm.. lost count liao leh..

my boy is also 2wks approaching 3wks & he's feeding 120ml of FM. As for BM, it'll be 30min of BF + 60ml of EBM.. hee.. think my boy drinks alot.. cos he's very active leh...

My boy also start to like being carried & pat his butt to sleep. (esp if my mum carries.. coz my mum ba ba mah.. hee hee...). But we try to limit this action.
Usu at night, if he's very sleepy (eg.eyes half close), he could actually sleep on his own in bed.

Hello ladies, my wife told me about this thread and I only had time to read the last 2 birth stories of vone and erowen.
Most of you probably dunno me but as I was reading your stories, I can't help but feel that giving birth is an amazing experience and that all mothers are such incredibly wonderful pple for enduring the pain and putting your body in danger, so as to bring life to another being. It is prob one of the most selfless act of love I can imagine....sob sob (tears forming around corner of eyes already).... I better stop blabbering so much nonsense b4 I said something really cock.
Anyway, I just wanna congratulate all new mothers here on having a successful birth and esp to my friend vone for giving birth to a healthy and heavy (wow...3.9kg) baby.

Was still on the msn with her yesterday morning and she mentioned that she had her gynae appointment at 4pm yesterday. She was saying that she intends to work until she pops. So with the arrival of her boy, looks like she can start her ML already.

seabreeze, give yrself the chance to try natural first, but of course most importantly you must be comfortable with your decision. For c section will be up to you whether u want GA or epidural.

anyone know about gripe water. If i give gripe water to my son, in the future, will he refuse plain water (because i think gripe water is sweet, right.)
my son always got problem poo poo. he will cry and cry and cry until i finish changing pamper for him and coax him to calm down. very jialet... i don't know whether is he very scared to pass motion...
anyone out there has brought your child to take 6 in 1? anything to look out for as i will be bringing my son for his first injection this friday
wendy, if he has 'wind' in his tummy, apply ru yi oil.... this will help very much. my son loves it when i apply ru yi oil on his tummy. remember to apply a little bit on his back also... this will help very much as well

Both mohter and in-law are here so I 'dump' the baby outside and 'hide' in the room pumping milk
Baby Clarence had quite a bad night last night. After he threw out his milk, he had a restless night. Usually he will go to sleep in the morning but today threw 'tantrum' until almost 12 noon. I was nearly on the verge of breaking down.
Hubby is quite amazing. Every night he can sleep thru Clarence's cries. Well, little wonder since his snoring is louder than baby's cries!
Before we have Clarence, he told me we shall only have one child cos cost of living is really high these days ... now that we have Clarence, he is asking me when we are going to have the next one. *sigh* Guys are really funny. As for me, I still haven't gotten over the 'scare' Think one is enough for me for now

ero, tks 4 sharing ur birth story. initially i wanted epi since i m oledi on it. but when my gynae told me tat hb cannot b inside d OT, i changed my mind. i dun wan 2 noe wat my gynae is doing. dun tink tat i can take it. somemore my pain threshold is really low. ya, i saw my scar. it looks okie. tink my gynae did a veri gd job sewing it up. 4 me, 4 d 1st 12 days of my confinemt, i avoided eating foods such as liver, eggs, pigs trotters in vinegar, etc.
confused, it depends on wat kind of pram tat u r looking 4. u c, a nb needs 2 lie down while a toddler needs 2 sit. so if d 2 positions pram can lie flat & sit up, then u can buy coz it can lasts u til ur bb is older. however, if d 2 position pram can oni lie flat, then u r better off getting 1 which hv 3 or 4 positions. hope tat my explanation helps.

i do tat sometimes. when i can't tahan daryl's cries, i dump him wif hb & go online & chat wif u gals. i dun noe abt tat. we've been using it on daryl coz he got a lot of wind in his tummy. so far, no side effects & he's pretty happy abt it.

My gal recently oso dun wan to sleep in the daytime. She will cry & feels uneasy. I din noe wat happen until my CL says she's very warm by showing me to feel her perspiring back & her warm body. Then she give her a quck shower & wind her. Seems like it helps her to relax a little & improve her sleep. Hope my experience can help you.

Hi mummytobe,
When you bring your baby for his/her check up, the clinic will sure to ask if you wanna choose the 5+1 or 6+1 jab. 3 days after my boy discharged from the hospital, I bring him to the specialist for his jaundice and right away the clinic asked me. That day I took him to the polyclinic to check his jaundice level and the polyclinic just asked me to return on the 27th Sept for his 1st jab. So I guess decision already made

Btw, I'm sure your gynae asked you to return for a checkup 7-10 days after the delivery to check on the stitches etc. How many of you didn't do so? I'm one who hasn't gone back to the gynae ... can't imagine having someone look at my viginal when it is so bloody ... YUCKS!

Do any of your babies have a soft bump on the head? caused by pressure of the uterine muscles when squeezing baby out? my baby girl got one bump, look like baduku like that..doctor says will go away within few weeks, but now already 2 weeks plus, my baby girl's bumps only subside a little bit leh..me getting worried

i am also one anxious mtb supposed to be due on 2 sept!! ah boy still so comfortable in my womb that i am so frustrated...not much symptoms...how?? i am already off work and staying at home waiting drives me crazy....
on the chart i c most of the girls are earlier than their due date...sigh

my birth experience similar to yours, except that gynae made the decision to induce (at 37.5wk) based on fetal heartbeat CTG. Baby was 3.5kg at birth. If waited until 40wks, he may hv been 4kg! (How odd, my sister's 2 sons are also 4kg each.)
When gynae burst waterbag, my hubby was away having his lunch. Gosh the pain was excruciating huh. Those whose waterbag burst naturally won't feel any pain.
re Malay massage, my gynae told me to wait 2wks. Wasn't too painful by then.

yeah we apply ru-yi oil for every alternate diaper change. Guess this morning at 4am I was too stoned to realise what he wanted. In his semi-awake state, hubby suggested that we wrap him up b4 burping him - voila! Worked like a charm.

returned to gynae after 1 month, i thought she was going to do internal check & that was the final time i'd be seeing her... wah, she only did a Pap smear, charged me $80 & said to come back in 3 months?! Coz only then will the internal wound heal sufficiently for her to confirm everything's ok. Sheesh, felt so cheated, i could've done the pap smear at any polyclinic - i dun think they'll charge me $80!!

treat Zephan to a baby massage lah. I'd like to do regularly with Isaac, but hard to find the right time - can't do directly after feeding, not when he's hungry & fussing etc. Esp not when he's asleep =))
Play with baby, bring him downstairs for a walk, bring him to my place - my mum & hubby around, can help u carry =)

These few days i'm wondering when i can find some time to get myself a pedicure & haircut?! And facial too. Maybe i gotto find a beautician cum hairstylist that makes house calls.

Lib: for what i know, gripe water is helping to get rid of wind and also to help baby to pass motion easier. during my confinement period, because my son didn't pass motion for few days and so CL suggested to give gripe water. After drinking, he really pass motion. my mum also told me to give him gripe water because he's on FM also, so that he won't be so "heaty".
