hi ladies,
i m back after my delivery. finally felt like a person these days.
here's my birth story:
24 aug:-
noon : met snoopy 4 lunch & shopping
6pm onwards : got regular contractions, dun noe whether it's due 2 all d shopping
25 aug:-
6am : woke up due 2 d contractions & diahorrea pain. went toilet & poo. had show & felt my waterbag burst. woke up hb who thot i was kidding. he went back 2 sleep, can u believe it?? called my gynae who advised me 2 admit myself 2 MAH & he'll meet me thr. hb woke up on hearing my conversation wif my gynae & realized tat i m not joking. man... then i took a bath, had a cup of milo & 1 btl of chicken essence & went 2 MAH.
7am : reached hospital & chked in. was wheeled 2 d delivery suite & prepped. d midwife chked my cervix 4 dilation & found tat i m not dilated yet. in addition, bb is not engaged yet. however, my contractions were a little bit unbearable liao.
8.25am : my gynae arrived & chked my cervix again. found tat i m not dilated still & bb is still not engaged. was put on d drip 2 dilate my cervix. gynae suggested epi 2 hb coz my pain threshold is really low.
8.45am : was put on d epi. then watched tv & happily wait 4 my labour 2 begin.
12.30pm : my gynae came back 2 chk on me. saw tat bb's heartbeats r dropping veri rapidly. he chked my cervix & found tat i m oni 4cm dilated. worse of all, bb is still not engaged. he then told us tat i hv 2 go 4 emer c-section as he dun wan 2 wait any longer. he's afraid tat bb might b in distress. hb agreed 2 it as we hv noticed tat bb's heartbeats hv been dropping 4 d past hr. but as we dun noe wat d graph represents initially, we ignored it. i was then prepped 2 go 2 d OT. was feeling veri scared & apprehensive. on d way 2 d OT, i was crying. hb kept telling me not 2 worry as i m in gd hands & he'll b wif me inside d OT. however, in d OT, my gynae told me tat my hb is not allowed 2 b inside as it's an emer c-section. gosh... i really cried then... when my gynae asked me whether i wan 2 go under epi or GA, i opt 4 d latter so tat i wldn't now wat's going on.
1.30pm : bb daryl is delivered & wheeled out of d OT. hb was outside waiting 4 him. he accompanied daryl 2 d nursery 2 do d necessary tests. daryl weighs a hefty 3.9kg. hb was veri surprised abt his weight as my last scan 5 days ago shows tat bb is oni 2.9kg.
2pm : was wheeled out of d OT & send 2 d ward 2 sleep off d effects of d GA. my gynae then told hb tat d reason 4 daryl's drop in his heartbeats is coz d cord was twirled around his neck. in addition, he had aso passed motion while he was inside. luckily he was delivered in time.
now come 2 tink of it, it was kinda of scary coz my gynae is oni supposed 2 come during his lunch hr fr 1 - 2pm. luckily he came early tat day, if not, i dare not tink of d consequences.
) haha..... same here... my hubby also said the same thing! only the "figures" look great! tell u wat, i really look so ah soh now! fat, sloppy n ugly! wonder when can i go back to my prenatal weight....
