i was recommending their black forest cake in an earlier posting.

their blackforest is rated singapore's #2 best.
apart from taste, the price is reasonable and the delivery is cheap ($10).

KC: i think i will be PG's top customer in dec. i just counted, i will be ordering a total of 10kg or more blackforest cake from them! *shock*
FIL's mega bd party already 4kg. Oh man!

so that they have their own ''cake n candle''to blow...
(cos hor,,,, i imagine a dozen tods who are more apt at spraying than blowing, plus helpful siblings n parents.......)
BUT, we still need the big cake for eating n phototaking, decor etc

Er we need to cap our expenditure somewhere ....

Catering:$15 per head
Gift Exchange: $15
Big cake: $5 (including cup cake)
Decor & entertainment: $2

Given the above recommendations, a family of 2 adults and 1 toddler will cost approx $60.

Its easy to lose control of our expenses like that leh ... $60 isn't exactly cheap compared to our BG gatherings etc....

Catering: $10 per head is quite reasonable, at most add a Honey Baked Ham ($30 - $40) won't hit $15 per head lah!

Big Cake: Assuming $70 for 2kg and 30 pax attendance will be approximately $2+ per head

Cupcake: Only for the little ones, so dun need to count per head lah, assuming $2 max (Buy muffins and self decorate even cheaper!)

Decoration: Anyone can contribute leftover birthday party deco?

OR just DIY?

That means a family of 2 adult + 1 toddler:

$11.50 (incl HBH) x 2 + $2.50 x 2 + $15 + $2 = $$45 Ta Dah!

Oh and my assumption of 30 pax is only an indicative number, if more turn out then the costs of the Big Cake and Honey Baked Ham (if any) per pax will be lower.....

It's quite a good idea to have 2 smaller function rooms side by side than 1 big function room... so one room can be play area, and one room for food...

YSL must also order the Yam Paste dessert!!

KC: i put catering at $15 cos i worry there may be a festive surcharge. its Dec after all, loads of parties and public hols that month.
