(2004/12) Year 2004 December Mummies

[frisbee]

Evelyn,

Thanks for volunteering to prepare food for the kids!

[cody]

Seagal:
i'll be buying when the ticket sales at Sistic starts.

KC:
you suay lah, those i bought were all ok!
but at that price, its pirated lah ...
Borders and Popular sell barney vcds at ard $11 each. not too expensive considering its first hand.
(if you have a popular vip card, you get more discounts!

)

[jenjen]

eve au, check out botanic gardens website...

KC, I bought 3 for $5 at pasar malam... hehehe... watcheable leh... v good some more!

[mtmtmt]

Jen,
wah got so cheap? I can never find leh! I bought mainly from Popular, though last wkend at JB was sooo happy to find Blues Clues and Hi-5 (original but cheaper than here)! Like strike gold haha... except I was nearly out of moolah, haha.

KC,
RY doesn't like Blues Clues? Seems only my kid likes? Wonder if it's cos Athena's a girl and the host is male, LOL?! I'm steering clear of Barney...

Maple,
hope Aaron gets well quick!

[jenjen]

KC, Medusa, yup... doubled confirm that bought 3 for $5... Sharon told me that got a shop in SK sells 6 for $10... you want? If I happen to go there, can let you know lor...

[elmobbger]

KC, yaya.. 3 for $5.. very good quality lar.. me also bought a lot fm pasar malam.. kekeke..

LL, what time stef's class finish?

[bb2ndwear]

elmobbger....Stef's class ends @10:45am after which will head for breakfast with papa then home 'cos papa heading for his game....so after wash up & rest, probably will be around 1pm.

Evelyn Au...at least Wilfred can kinda pronounce "mar...ney"...here's how Steffi's version..

mommy....steffi, say barney
steffi...bar bar
mommy....no, steffi...its barney, try again...barney
steffi....bar bar....

[leo29]

Ai yoh... so angry... the below posting that i intend to post went missing. Now ve to re-type again.

TBL,

Nydia is fine, tks. Ok, will try to post some of her pixs 2moro if i remember to brg my camera. 8.4kg at 2.5 mths.... oh.... that is a gd weight. U on TBF? Nydia weight 5.1kg at 1 mth. This sun she will be 2 mths old but im nt sure how heavy she is now. Will ve to weight till his 3 mths jab.

Eve Au,

Sama sama... last time nat oso call me Maney when i ask her to call me mummy. Aft times n times of corrcetion, now she can pronouce it correctly but she still prefer to call me meemee *faint*

KC,

I oso bot barney VCD from shop n pasar malam at 3 for $5. Some quality r gd but some r bad. As wat cody said, depend on our luck oso. If it's bad then next time dun buy from tat shop. Recently i just bot 1 original but quality nt very gd. Aft a few plays, it start to 'jump' *angry*.

[mngo]

allerhand bag
hi mummies, i need some help. i wanna get a Allerhand bag for a fren as a gift. can i know
1) which designs are good to carry?
2) where can i buy it other than motherswork

[bb2ndwear]

Leo29....at least nat calls u meemee....my stef calls me YI !!! WORST!!!

[cody]

mngo: heee, you wanna buy over my allerhand?
mine's the travel bag, BIG one.

think the more popular ones for daily use are the carry-on, messenger or haversack.

mother care and ba*b supplies also sell it.

but i read from some moms, and lachesiz also, said that the zips spoil easily.... however their customer service was v good. they replaced the bag with a brand new one if you email them about the damage.

VCDs
Medusa: there's plenty of blue clues at carrefour! $12 each.

Anyone knows where i can buy Wiggles vcd or dvd?

[cody]

hmmm, funny ...
dunno why that ba*b word is not allowed.

anyway mngo, just replace * with a y.
its a local online shop.

[mngo]

cody

buy over yours? your one - brand new or used one ah?

[cody]

hmmm, funny ...
dunno why that ba*b word is not allowed.

anyway mngo, just replace * with a y.
its a local online shop.

[mngo]

cody
yea.. i know which place la.

your allerhand is used one or ?

[cody]

sure can buy over!
used only ONCE - hand carried on aeroplane to tokyo and back. in perfect condition, all items eg changing mat in tact.

no stains, perfectly clean.

u keen?

[mngo]

cody
i am buying for a fren leh. she say she want haversack.

as for yours, can email me the pic or not?

[cody]

mngo: i post pic here ...

(mine is in red and orange tho...)
very striking colours, very attractive.

[lachesiz]

elmobbger,
gers is so cheeky in the first pic. shes so cooperative during pic time.

leo,
Welcome back. cant wait to see nydia+natalie pics.

TBL,
cant wait to carry nathan...
my gf 3month bb was 8kg and he was so huggable.

VCD
-barney.
i use to buy the $12+ ones then realise can get 3 for $5 at pasar malam! quality determines by luck. but i find that those are the older series as the dinos costumes are uglier.
hb approves of the purple t-rex as the series teaches lots of social life-skills. rae is a recent convert no thanks to hb

and her nice aunty M who help blast barney songs in the car

-blue clues
I was a fan though i was not within the 'suitable age group'.
-wiggles
cody, are you sure??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but heard that they are the highest paid childrens entertainer in aussie?
-Hi 5
I think my hb secretly loves them, cos he wants rae to watch them. i think he has hidden agenda.
rae has no inkling who they are. thank goodness.
-Sesame Street.
I love it. grew up with electric company + sesame street. sorry i digress

[lachesiz]

evelyn au,
thanks

the potato nuggets very nice

u busy recently too? seldom see your posts.

mngo.
yup. the zip lao ya. but then again, it depends on luck.
mine conk out and thanks to cody's recommendation, i feedback to their HQ (at HK) and they allow me to exchange.
but the motherworks staff dour face didnt make it a happy exchange.
then my new bag's zip also conk out..again..
i give up!
but there are many others who have no prob with their A bag.

[lachesiz]

cody,
wiggles? erm.
for me, they
-are not young
-are not cute
-wear tight pants (with no cute butts)
-have no cute mascot

i help you check out some stores today. only have the books. no vcd/dvd

Don't laugh.
my worst nitemare comes true: barney rules in my house now.

[tbl]

lach,
super potato is cute cute cute!!!!

[mtmtmt]

Thanks elmogger!

I'm thrilled by the sleeves, really the traditional kimono type of sleeves hehe! Was just trying for size- the dress length will trip her so will get my mum to temporary shorten. Haven't tied the thick yellow waist sash cos I don't think my gal will stay still for such traditional binding... will "shortcut", get my mum to sew hook fasteners on the sash.

[cody]

LOL tena's so cute!!!
so CNY2007 = hanbok & kimono?

got to get 1 more costume, cos CNY2007 has 3 days of public hols!

[seagal]

medusa,
athena looked really lovely in the costumes!

korean online shopping
anyone of you here have friends in Korea ? I love their kids stuff and it's really cheap to buy them there!

check out this adorable table.

It costs less than S$40 there.

[tbl]

medusa,
athena is really cute!!!! she looks so happy in the kimono.

ladies,
i ordered crocs for natalie from BP thread.

let her tried b4 but forgot what size she wear, just order the smallest size. very happy now coz i've been waiting this BP. hehehe...

gathering
another 2wks to our gathering!!! yeah!

but my hubby WARN me lah, if the weather is too hot then we have to leave earlier. I told him no shelter so he worry the weather is too hot for his bao bei nathan.

[bb2ndwear]

aiyoh....medusa...ur darling looks so sweet...

howdie...mommies....bizi lately so did not hv much time to log-in. My princess is back home permanently liao so I get to see her every day.....tiring though....but shiok....

[bb2ndwear]

Hei mommies...I'm looking for mattress protector elastic straps - the kind that can hold the cover @the 4 corners....anyone...any idea???

[cody]

LL: wow steffi is home permanently?
that's good news!!

[mtmtmt]

evelyn au,

the nuggets nice! hb still ask me got learn from you or not few days ago.. i told him, recipe same, cook different so product also different.
he gave up cos he know i cant cook.

medusa,
athena kawaii neh...

seagal,
you bring out the closet HK fan in me..sshhhh

LL,
most big dept stores sell them or those shops that specialise in bedsheets shd sell the protector.
you see your long-leg princess everyday from now? yippee.....

[tbl]

LL,
u looking for the elastic straps only or the mattress protector? may be u can get those protector not with straps but can cover the sides, ie those can cover top and thickness. It is better than the straps one as it fits nicely to the matress.

[bb2ndwear]

TBL....am looking for the elastic straps only cos I wanna to strap the 4 corners of the bedspread....the ones u are talking abt are fitted sheet type rite?

Lac / Cody....yup...yup....get to see her EVERYDAY....

Mngo...Stef had been putting up @my sis' pl during weekdays and I only get to see her on weekends....now my mom suggested dat she stay home & of coz...my mom oso come along lah.....

[elmobbger]

medusa, welcome

so nice to see yr girl in that outfit..

LL, do u go over yr sis' pl on wkdays after work to play with stef? hmmm.. is a better idea that yr mum and stef stay at yr own place..

hey, ger has been having her hi-5 concert everyday 3 times at home... kekeke.. she is into her hi-5 craze.. jump and dance the whole day that our whole family think that she ma-chiam has grown taller leh... mummies who wanna their bbs to grow taller can try that..

kekeke..

[angph38]
