ya lor, she kena mozzies attack last friday. had more than 10 mozzie bites on her... so poor thing.

The class is $320 for 10 lessons. 1 hour each time. One-time regn fee is $40. Materials fee : $10 per term.

They are supposed to incr the fees but have been "resisting" their head office request. Reason for price hike : additional flashcards will be provided for parents to bring home.

However, they find that not all parents would have time to teach at home or would even want to buy the flashcards. They prefer it to be an optional charge rather than costing it into the course fees. Where can you find people doing business like this right ?

actually, materials fees is to pay for their equipment and materials used during the class issit ? Maybe that's what KM so ex as they have to buy instruments, soft toys, etc..

BJG is quite basic. can see that some of the materials are self-made hence the lower costs e.g. bells sewn on to hair scrunchies, shoelaces and macaroni, etc. but they give me ideas for some home DIY projects.

Wat.... 10 mozzie bites? Auntie eve sayang shermyn. Where she kena the bites, at home? Haiz... nat oso kena bites yty when hb brot her downstair. *Angry... ask hb to wear pant for her but he said no nd* Yty nite, the bites swell. I try to apply the cream but it doesnt seem to help much. And she din slept well last time becos it's itchy n she kept scratching it=mummy oso nvr slept well becos once she make noise, i nd to get up n apply the cream for her n scratch for her as well-scared she scratch until bleed again. Me so heartache to see the scars from the bites-sure leave scars as she normally will scratch until it bleed.

Today die die must go n get the repellent that cody recommended.

Hi Evelyn,
I have found that using aloe vera gel for mozzie bites is very effective. I use it for Shannon and she does not scratch after application. Even use it on myself and hubby too.
Brand is Jorubi. Can get from pharmacy.

Seems that she kena the bites at home accordingly to my mil ... though we never had problems with mozzies at home leh.

aiyoh, nat also .... poor girl *hug hug*. one thing i learnt from my pd is to apply the cream asap so to minimise swelling and prevent scarring.

what cream u apply for her ?

Elmo, does the aloe vera gel prevents swelling too ?

Never got swelling so not sure if it helps. But very good for my gal's dry skin, heat rash spots and any red itchy spots. When you apply, it feels really cool and this coolness stops the itch.

Tried it on myself and hubby..it helps. I find it better than the axe brand medicated oil as that can be quite burning lor.

They have a convenient small handbag size bottle for $3.50 I think. Always keep one with me

Ahh I bought the Sea Bream one for Shannon too but she dun quite like it. Fussy gal. I thought the amount was really little lor and very ex.

I got more success with the dried ones in packets. One box got six. Just add to plain porridge. Will probably bring those as emergency.

Still dunno if I should bring pram. Shannon has NEVER slept in pram before. She refused. So dunno if worth to bring along lor

hello mummies! I have been attending some classes this 2 weeks hence can't go online.

My part time auntie is not bad, she's from china and stayed here while her child receive education here. She's quite "automatic" type, no need to say too much, I let her plan her routine. certain weeks she would concentrate on windows, other week might be doors or any other thing... I think she's not bad.
But human is human loor, sometimes she would show her she's tired, cause she would be slightly slower and less perfect lor... but to me as long as not too often ok lah...
u want her contact?

I see u mummies considering sending bb to childcare huh? or registering for nursary huh?
I blur leh.... Chloe is 19th month now, shall I sent her to childcare?

The aloe vera gel is for mozzie bites only? I ask PD is there any cream that can lighten the scars, she told me try aloe vera gel. If the one u recommended is nt specially for mozzie bites, maybe i can try.

I cant remember the name(got it from polyclinic pharmacy) but according to PD(yty nite see her swelling buay da han so brg her see PD) this cream is very mild. So she prescribe Fucicort and a Purple lotion for nat to wash. Seem to be quite effective as it ease the itchiness n she nvr scratch it thru out the nite although the swelling is still there this morning.

Gynae visit

Yty went for gynae check up, bb still in the same position-head down face up since early may. Gynae ask me to change side(normally i sleep on my left side) to sleep to see whether bb will turn n face down. Will do so when hb is back this fri. Scared bb will pop if i do it now. Dun know ve i dilated???? Cant wait for next mon appt... as gynae will check my dilation.

Any of our darling here already potty trained? I think someone ever mentioned that our darling nd to be potty trained b4 we can enrol them. Playgrp oso? My mum is training nat now but it seem to be so tough....

Haha, in fact after the Msia trip Wilfred refuses to wear the slippers, think he still not used to it. Actually I bought the slippers just for fun lah cos so cheap, RM9.90 = S$4.00+only.

My maid started to train Wilfred how to pee
When I brought Wilfred to downstairs in the evening, happened that he wants to peehe squats down with his diaper and says sheeeeeeee. Looked so funny but how come he needs to squat? Asked my maid did she train him pee like that but she said never leh! Dont know where he learns this?

No lah! Where got so good life busy holidaying? In fact, Im busy with a BIG project nowwill share with you girls soon.
Haiya, hubby and I both no good in teaching small kids leh! and both of us found that Wesley was so lonely that time, further more he was poor in speech, no one will take care of him after 2yrs 6mths old(no maid at that time), quite worried abt that. So bo bian lor! Better send him to childcare to let him learn more things and mixed with all the kids there. Surprisingly, he had learnt more independent, quite proud of him sometimes. However, he also learned some bad habits from the childcare; talk loudly, says chou ji dan..

Hope she can tell us soon if not whenever she pee, my poor mum ve to mop the floor. Oh ya..... the funny part is for the 1st few times, nat will cry out so loud when she pee on the floor... hahaha.... think she scared.

i guess my bb will be out within this 2 day coz this morning got some spot on my pantyliner. It cums and goes but really very little.... Till now I do not have any real pain, only mild contraction like ms cramps... Hope can tahan till tomomorrow!

hi hi, i'm back!!

baby nathan birth wt is 3.675 kg. He is doing fine except some nappy rash and redness on his testicles. Will ask PD for some cream when we are going for his 1st wk check-up tomorrow.

he drinks 60~90ml per feed!! if i feed him 60ml BM then can only last him for abt an hour. if FM then can tahan ard 3hrs. so tired of expressing the BM lei.... so little BM, only 30ml each time i pump. every 2x pumping can only last him for 1hour!!!

no time or energy to load his pix on PC yet. will post his pix when it's ready.

I really hope can tahan until tomomorrow coz my HB specially fly back from perth to accomapany the whole process of "PUSH"... He will be back real early, later got to pick him at abt 5+am. So early... cross my finger can wait.

I did have this symptom of labour for my second one. Looked like brownish discharge right? I found it one day before Wilfred was born but the next day morning showed nothing and no contraction. After few hours later can felt uncomfortable in my stomach but it was not contraction. However, saw brownish discharge again after that. Called to KK and they asked me should report to the hospital for baby heartbeat check up even though I had no contraction. Went to the hospital ard 12noon and was told I had been dilated up to 5cm. Admitted to the delivery suite ard 1pm+, Wilfred was born at 3pm+.

So, its a show, you better check with KK and get ready.

Oh ya, dont forget to drink raspberry leaf tea and chicken essence before you go to KK. Dont know how true but it did help to shorten my labour.

Are Nat's mozzie bites better now ? We used Fucicort also - quite effective in reducing inflamation. There's another Gentrisone (i think it's this spelling) which is quite good.

i've also heard that it's better to potty train our todds first before going childcare. I would rather train myself (if possible) than to let the teacher train her, we used more TLC (aka tender loving care) so it might be easier and less "traumatising" for them. Just my own humble opinion.

the Epi-caesarian is ok for me, as i'm quite "pro-c" type of person. i had soft diet of that evening, then nxt morning can walk, pee n poo alr. have u decided to go for GA-C or Epi-C? may be u can consider VBAC, but it really depends on bb's size n other factor.

nat's reaction towards didi, hmm.... still too early to say lei. I try to let her know didi is one of the family members lor. every morning will ask her to greet didi good morning and good nite before she go to bed. Bought a soft toy for her saying is a gift from didi, she is so happy and i believed the soft toy did "buy over" her heart lah. she is the 1st one to jump and run to nathan's room when he cries. but if nathan cries too loud she will give me that kind of 'worry' looks and i will give her a hug n reassure her tat didi is fine. and yes, she can pronounce "didi"...

yesterday brought nathan for his 1wk check up, his jaundice level reading is high, 12.5. PD asked me to go for another follow up on next wk. haiz... i dont know what's wrong wif me, i didnt even ask PD what shld i do during tis few days, shall i just wait till nxt wk? what if his jaundice becomes very high b4 nxt wk appointmt? anyone has the similiar experience?

Really wen1 xin1 (heartwarming) to read about Natalie's anxiousness over her crying didi. I'm sure she will be a real thoughtful and caring jie jie. =)

When Shermyn was discharged after birth, we had to bring her back every week to test her jaundice level too (really heartpain cos they get pricked at the heel for the blood test). it went on for about 2 weeks. During that 2 weeks, I had to stop nursing her as hers was diagnosed as breastmilk jaundice. No other treatment like putting under the sun or the like .... even though i have heard of other pds recommending this for newborn babies with jaundice.

Did the PD ask u to keep him off bm ?
