Yes, so I got 4 places right? I've thot abt it, not sure if K would be able to sit still thru'out the entire hr and how much he's able to appreciate, and since the 2A is to accompany the 1C, just 1A is enough since there's more demand than supply now. I'll let go of 2 seats to Moo87. will let hubby accompany B coz I'm always out having fun ...
btw, NTUC's having 4.2% discount ... got my stuff discounted this morning.

How was National Day cele today?
At Mel's school, there was a mini ND parade, the kids were led by some dressed-up kids in decorated tricycles and they all marched out in different contingents waving the flag. Then an observance ceremony followed, the real flag was raised to the music of Majula Singapura. There were also a few parent-child games like fancy dress contest, hula hoop dance.
A parent was invited to emcee the whole parade.
It was great fun and as usual, i took lotsa pictures

Serenade: thanks for asking. C was happy to go to school yesterday, partly because they were having a National Day Party!
As for your neighbour, the girl didn't get into MGS, so she will be going to CHIJ because it's within 1 km!

I went to KKH yesterday afternoon, before Benny went for his minor ops, must say Joanne is so strong, she didn't cry at all till Benny went into the OT.
I waited with her till the op was over, and the doc came to talk to her, looks like they still cannot find the "cause" of the infection, and Benny may have to go for another operation!
I think Benny will be in the hospital for another day or two, until his current infection imporves, then they will discharge him with oral antibiotics. He will have to go back for more tests next week to find the root of the problem!
Let's keep him and the family in prayers, pray for speed recovery as well as good skills and knowledge for the doctors to treat Benny!

Hi gals. Thanks for your concern. I still don't know what triggered the food poisoning cos whole family is fine, thank goodness. I'm much much better today. But the episode made me realise again how hard life as a SAHM could be, even with a helper. I was dying to go on "medical leave" but husband could not relieve me while my helper could not tear the kids away from me (JC was crying the whole day clinging on to me like a koala bear literally). Moments like this make me miss life as a ftwm when I could just leave the kids to childcare or parents while I return home to rest as much as I want. With no luxury of MC, it's just so important for us sahm to stay healthy right?

Is anyone going to trial the gym lessons one of these Sat at Hwa Chong recommended by ky? I heard Catholic High also has some similar programme but not sure if open to public like Hwa Chong. Really keen to let JK try soon.
As for JC, I've put her on waiting list at GUG, United Sq. Was quite turned off by the attitude of the people at JG despite the rave reviews. ky, former Actphabets teachers from Esplanade could not take off with their project to open a new centre as their investor pulled out at the last-minute.

Benny is on low dosage antibiotic for a month to control swelling and infection while surgeon puts him thru colour contrast x-rays to find the cause of recurrence. *sigh* Think another surgery is waiting ahead. Anyway, I'll be bringing him to Mount E to seek for 2nd opinion. Hopefully I'll be able to get a doc with excellent skills to cure him once and for all.
BTW, thank you gals for the wonderful gift. He loves them and it managed to keep him busy and distracted while nurses inject antibiotics thru his IV plug. ARIGATO!!!

The name of the surgeon that I mention to you was Dr Chui Chan Hon, finally got his name right thru Mount E website. His clinic, Surgical Centre for Children is in Mount E too but I'll be going to Dr Chia first.

Hi! Joanne, glad that Benny is discharged. This is a great relief. I had wanted to visit Benny at the hospital yesterday but worry mum sms me that Benny will be discharged yesterday...so I guess it's also for the best. Benny can get more rest at home than in a hospital.

Actually told another sahm mother from the southwest playgroup, and we both had intention to fix a trial class, but we have not got that done. Lets fix a date and I shall see if she can make it. Actually her son is already in another gym class . not sure y she wanted to try this out.

I hv gotten permission from dh to let the kids (and me) wear according to the theme (remember that we are suppose to wear dark color clothes) ... luckily we hv those color tops .. I start to wonder did Mel have tops/bottoms in all colors range

I have this feeling that it might be similar to JG. Found out that all Y2003 kids are placed under the N2 programme, regardless of their maturity level.
Intending to enrol B for Berries too. Is C attending the Bt Batok Branch?

I will probably let Chloe continue one more semester with JG - she started to communicate a few sentences in mandarin recently which surprise me a great deal (though her pronunciation is still pretty bad). Let me know if the Act3 & Berries class are good, I am keen to switch her over

Abt clothes, i think there's a Song & Song shop in Clementi, they sell factory rejects and overuns of brand names like Carters, Osh Kosh, TKS etc. all export brands, u can get nice kids' tees, shorts, sometimes dresses for as little as $5. Have u been there? For adults, Abercrombie n Holister tees at $8.
