I think it is grapefruit juice, not grape juice.

Many women observe more abundant fertile cervical mucus when they drink a big glass of grapefruit juice every day during the last week or so before ovulation. Hello.. We are going for IUI. Seeing SF loh at thomson medical since April 2015. My mens irregular, took medication and past few months is smooth/regular . Hub semen analysis is normal as tested in April as well. My tube is not blocked as well. Last 3 mths. SF loh advised to try natural.. However no luck. ..:(..We are going to IUI as last resort / option.
May I ask if medisave claimable in Tmh such? Am very stressed having to go through treatment which is very hard on all of us here. .

Hi Phantom,

Yeap, agree it's not an easy journey and it's very mentally and financially exhausting. Hang in there!

I'm not sure whether Thomson Medical can claim Medisave but I think only govt hospitals can claim from Medisave.
 
Mrschua.. checked with Tmh earlier.. possible to use medisave as per the govt scheme.. for private. . No choice.. High costs.. hub keep tell money can earn back.
.all of us here are after the same goal ultimately. Total cost close to 1k today.. Blood tests. . Take injection all these. .mine is low dosage... in conclusion I need to let more eggs grow..

One friend succeeded iui in 1st try. . Hers is less egg need higher dosage. . Which amount to 4K + only..

Hi.. planning to go for first iui ar kkh this Dec. .

1. I recalled that prior to that we need to do blood test for hepatitis b.. this blood test is by hub ? How much is this test ?

2. I need to call kkh first day of af

3. Then tale jab from day 2 to 7

4. Day 7 goes ultrasound for the folicle and uterus lining

5. Continue for ultrasound if needed

6. Use opk to test for ovulation and if positive hub to go kkh for semen collection and proceed with iui

Am I right for the procedure ? Thanks

I rem i tested opk when i went for ultrasound scanning and was negative. Continue with jab & day 13 went for HCG jab at kkh O&G then did my iui 1.5 days later.
 
Went for 2nd ultrasound today, was told by the doctor that only 1 grows from 5mm to 10mm, the rest still remains 4mm. Best if can have 2 follicles 17mm, if not 1 also OK.

Lining is ok at 8.4mm.

Doc instruct to increase dosage to 100 these 2 days, going back on Sat again for my 3rd ultrasound scan.

I dun remember the medication name.
By right, the menses will only come 2-3 days later if u have finish the medication.

Have you check with ur doc?

Sorry, i have few questions regarding the IUI :-
1. You are taking the jab or clomid ?
2. How many hours you spend at KKH for the ultrasound as I'm planning to apply 1/2 leaves
3. Today is your 2nd ultrasound as in day 9 ?

*cross fingers* thanks for the encouragement :)
- I am taking the puregon jab (50 to 75 to now 100)
- Halfday leave is more than enough. About 1&30 mins from ultrasound to see doc.
- 1st D8, 2nd D11

One thing to note is that they require you to bring the jab medications (which needs to kept in the cooler bag) everytime you go, which I dun understand the need.

Roughly what time you reach KKH ? 8am ?
 
Latest update from my 3rd ultrasound review.

That 1 follicle got increase from 10mm to 12.5mm. Lining increase to 9.63. So doc will concentrate on that 1 12.5mm de.

The rest of the follicle still remains the same ( 5 4 4 3 around there). cos I don't ovaluate on my own at all (need medication assistance) , that's y, though I got many eggs reserve. Hibernate too Long le, haha.

Continue injection, come back on tues again.
But doc give me ovaluation kit to test on mon morning, if 2 lines, come back immediately, rather than wait till tues.

You are saying that you need to bring the remaining jab medications each time visit to kkh ? But I'm going back to office after the ultrasound.. so I just store in the office fridge lor... I can just any type of cooler bag?

U took the jab starting from day 3 ?

Day 2 .. Just go kkh to collect the jab ?

On the 1st day of you full menses(spotting dun count), call ivf centre, they will advise you accordingly. Mine is day 3 go down, other may day 1 or 2. Depends.

Any type of cooler bag will do.

Day 3 - go ivf centre reception, collect prescription, proceed to level 1 main pharmacy collect medication (they will give u 1 small ice bag), go back to ivf centre again, press queue number and theres a nurse who will teach you on a dummy stress ball, then u will do on your own under nurse watch. The remaining days jab you do at home.

I personally dun feel safe put in office fridge, as its a common fridge, sometimes ppl forgrt to take out expired food, etc. I scare is the germs/bacteria. So I take full day leave. Some may go home, put stuff and go out to work again.
 
Supposed to go back KK tml but this morning tested KK ovaluation kit, got 2 lines. So bo Bian have to last min take half day urgent leave today.

Have yet to tell my boss about it.

Done with my scan (follicle from 12.5 to 16.5) with lining from 9.63 to 12. something.

Continue today's jab and tml morning do ovaluation test and come back tml again for the scan.

Doc says tml may do the procedure le cos she scare it will collapse. If not will be wed.
