IVF/ICSI Support Group

Doctor's experience is very important. Without doc.loh's advice, I might still stubbornly trying for IUI.

My failed IUI was done by another doctor at Gleneagales.
but i guess most drs would advice straight to ivf instead of iui esp ladies our age . there mus b a reason y your dr at gleneagales suggested iui first ?

a friend of mine was also suggested by her dr at mt e novena to try iui for the first time . that time i was thinking- waliao, y waste her time do iui.however, she got a baby boy tro iui! at a age of 41!

by the way i am wondering if there r sisters who failed ivf and went back to iui and succeeded. most people wil not go back to iui but am thinking for those youngers sisters mayb can do that as no matter wat, iui is more natural

hi sisters who is wif dr loh, can i check with u gals if there is a waiting list to do ivf wif him? am thinking if touchwood my nex attempt at public hospital fails, i may want to consider dr loh or other private doctors .his charges seems ok for a private dr. am wondering whatis the waiting time like. few private clinics i have enquired told me there is no waiting time, once decided, straight away do checkups and can proceed liao .public hospitals will tell u they are packed, waiting list 2 to 3months min etc etc .
No waiting time if you and your body is ready
.

Had my scan yesterday after 6 days of stim jabs and only have ONE follicle! Gynae recommend us to do iui instead of ivf since only got one follicle

Ladies, I have done the transfer yesterday. With 22 eggs, only three made it and one under observation. This is almost the same result as my first ivf despite that i m on short protocol this round. Whole procedures took about 20 min and the nurse is nice to let me rest for 10 min on bed. Not sure what the outcome will be but we have done our time. Unlike my first ivf, I resume normal acvitities like carrying my boy and bring him out. Jia you to everyone on this journey.

All the best to you, Ringbell!

Hmmm, only had my blood taken twice. First was to check ovarian reserve aka AMH levels. 2nd was a routine blood test taken prior to my hysteroscopy. I did hv an SIS scan to check womb cond but didn't had my blood drawn.

Hey everyone mum-to-be.

I was scheduled to visit my private gynae for regular check-up last Saturday. I totally forgotten about it. I was intending to go polyclinic to get my referral letter for IVF procedure. I went to see my gynae at 10 am, and went to polyclinic by 10:30 am. I waited 2 hours before I got my referral letter. The nurse in polyclinic told me they would SMS me within a week for the first appointment. What a long wait at the polyclinic.

Bad news, my private gynae found that I had 3 fibroid via ultrasound scan - 1 outside my uterus, the other 2 inside my uterus. The gynae said it's not a big issue unless the fibroid grow larger. What if the fibroid grows larger and block the womb? I don't think I can be patience anymore. I wonder if this is an acceptable reason to tell the doctor and nurse so they can get the IVF procedure schedule earlier base on my medical condition.

Juz done wif my ET out of 10, 8 fertilized and 2 usable grade3 &4 , 1 KIV for freezing. Doc say could be egg issue. Anyway this time I not so emo anymore.juz hope for the best and may God bless me.

yeah, they called quite early today. I did the BT at 8am, returned call by 9:30am. I tested on HPT since last Wed (13dp3dt) and it was faint positive and positive next day onwards. I had brown spotting on Tues night and Thurs night. After reading the below articles, I thought it was ok. Especially after going to O&G on Wed and the dr there said all was okay.

I am having very little symptoms. Only cramps and backache. Slight nausea when I travel. today only starting to hv slightly sore boobs.

After my failed FET last Aug, this are the things that I did different from previous cycles. Up to you to belief or try la. I don't even believe in all of them, but it did happen.

1) Went to Mount Emei in China and prayed to be blessed with healthy and happy baby. Another friend also prayed there claimed to have been granted her wish.

2) took some chinese herbs to keep the womb warm for a month before scratching. I don't usually take herbs.

3) did scratching

4) took blackmores conceive well gold

5) foodwise: did not follow much, just ate more fruits and veges. everyday i had 1 kiwi, 1 plum, half orange, half guava/ persimmon

6) stayed at home the entire 2ww (19 days) and wore bedroom slippers

7) sat with a pillow supporting my back and a pillow on my tummy all the time

:) thanks again all of you for the support and encouragement you have given. Much needed and appreciated. baby dusts to all!

Thanks Mich. I thought I was alone. When doctor told me one out of five women happen to have fibroids, I thought why it happened to me. I'm totally clueless of this new medical term. Thanks for sharing your guideline.

Hi Big Congrats Mich, U went to Chengdu at Mount Emei ? I didn't manage to go there due to time constraint & distance. But I went to Qing Cheng Shan instead & got my wish granted too. :p

Just to share that during the 2ww, one of the symptoms that really stood out for me was a strong metallic taste in the mouth, which would only be reduced when I ate very sour stuff. It started about a week into the 2ww. Other symptoms like cramps and sore boobs are not reliable as they can be pre-AF symptoms, but not the metallic taste. It was my earliest alert and non-pre-AF symptom that I had BFP-ed.

Lol... Maybe all the temples there are gifted. :) I didn't go Qing Cheng Shan, it wasn't in my tour package. I liked Chengdu, Emei and Jiujaigou, it was a good trip.

No worries. I also was worried initially but I asked my dr if there would be any issue, he said none. In fact, after my 1st fresh he said I had more fibroids then before.

Hello babes!
I just did my FET this afternoon at kkh..
Thaw 2 day two embryos and they made it from the north pole to sunny SG! LOL
Left 19 day two frosties
Keeping my fingers cross and staying chill for the moment until day 18 blood test
The procedure was rather uncomfortable as Dr lau had a tough time locating my womb opening but all is fine and hopefully worth it!
加油加油加油!!!
