Best Buys in June 2015: Editor’s Picks
We’re down to the last two full weeks of June. There’s so much happening in Singapore this month (especially when it comes to activities for the kids!), it’s easy to get paralysed by choice or lost in the wonder of options. Here we sieve out some of the best buys on our little red dot this month.

Get Kiehl’s for Baby
Babies can now enjoy skincare from Kiehl’s, just like their mums! The new Kiehl’s Baby Collection is a paraben-free, paediatrician-tested, dermatologist-tested, and mummy-approved collection of three — a Gentle Foaming Hair & Body Wash, a Nurturing Baby Cream for Face & Body, and a Baby Lip Balm, all of which nourish, soothe, and protect Baby’s delicate skin using natural ingredients such as Shea butter, Kiehl’s botanical oil blend, and vitamin E. Needless to say, they all smell divine as well — just like Baby!
The new Kiehl’s Baby Collection is now available at Kiehl’s stores island wide.
Have a Changi Staycation
It’s not too late to book a flight and voom over to one of these family-friendly luxury resorts. But if you’re really stretched for time and would prefer to stay on local shores, how about exploring our eastern one? The newly refurbished Civil Service Club @ Changi is bigger, with triple its previous size, and better, with designer-looking resort-style furnishings and more facilities. Make your choice from 25 newly-built chalet suites and villas — the latter with enough space for three generations (the Premier has one king-sized bed and four super single beds, and space for three cars). Resort facilities are cool too. We love the mini infinity pool, the kids’ pool with its water play features, the BBQ pavilions with sea views. And yes, there’s free Wi-Fi too (you know you want it). Book a longer stay and explore the Changi area and its surroundings: Changi Village, Changi Beach, Changi Point Coastal Walk, and Pulau Ubin.
Civil Service Club @ Changi is at 2 Netheravon Road, Singapore 508503. To book, email [email protected] or call 6709 4706.
Bag some Books at Times

Moisturise your Hands to Plant Trees
In celebration of SG50, The Body Shop, which has always championed planet protection, is hoping to raise $10,000 for the Garden City Fund to contribute to the planting of 50 trees at the Punggol Promenade Nature Walk under NParks’ CG SG50 Mass Tree Planting project. From now till 19 August 2015, the sale of The Body Shop’s new Soft Hands Kind Heart hand cream or any of The Body Shop’s Top 10 Star products like Tea Tree Oil, Drops of Youth Concentrate, or White Musk® Eau De Parfum will contribute $0.50 to the Garden City Fund. Long-lasting hydration plus citrus-fragranced skin while helping another tree to bloom? Why not?
The Soft Hands Kind Heart hand cream, $14.90, is available at The Body Shop till 19 August 2015.
