Explore The Wild
“Our Wild Isle” is the theme and in this workshop, children from K1 to P6 levels will get really, really, really close to living and preserved specimens, venture on guided walks to seek out wildlife in the Gardens, learn about native wild mammals, make mammal wall-hanging craft and plant a dish garden to bring home. This workshop is organised by the Singapore Botanic Gardens and Cicada Tree EcoPlace.

Kick That Ball!
First Kick Academy holds soccer camps for children aged 4 to 14, twice a year. Through the two-day camps, children get to enjoy football training, and build friendships and teamwork. You get an early bird ($20) discount if you sign up two weeks in advance.

Get Arty & Musical
Even the tiniest tots can enjoy the holiday activities here at Happy Willow. Yes, little ones aged from 1 to 4 years can take part in the music workshop by Staccato! Music school and get an introduction to different note values, tempi, articulations and dynamics through play and instrument exploration. For older kids aged 4 to 7 years there’s an art class where they can experiment with a mixture of mediums like watercolor, clay and paint and use different techniques in their masterpiece.

Go Beyond Borders
WondersWork has three themed-based workshops — Rescue Mission, Wonders Safari and Battle It Out — for children between 5 and 12 years old. There are also three-day Space Invention Camps for aspiring astronauts between 6 and 12 years old, where children can create space machines using Lego and recycled materials, and learn robotics as well. Make Believe!
At Artary’s two-day Art Jam sessions, children can build a circus through activities like drawing, colouring, painting, craft work and dress-up, or ‘bake’ confections for their cake shop. Kids will get to develop creativity at these make-believe and pretend-play workshops as they explore art in a whole new way! These classes are suitable for 5 to 12 year olds, with materials and refreshments included. Do note that there is no actual baking involved.

Celebrate X’Mas in the East
Over at Downtown East, eXplorerkid gets festive early with a Christmas-themed party for children from 4 to 12 years old. Kids will be able to take part in activities such as T-shirt decorating, face painting, and play festive games. Lunch, tea and free-play at the indoor playground are included.

Swim Like a Dolphin
Ace Dolphin swim school has a swimming crash course for 4 to 13 year olds this holidays. Your child will learn basic swimming techniques in 10 lessons (conducted twice a week over five weeks). There’s a maximum of six students per group and the first 1,000 students to register will receive a free Ace Dolphin Swim Cap.

Skate On Ice
If Disney On Ice has inspired your little one to glide like her favourite princess, bring her to Kallang Ice World for a two-day skating camp, open to children from 6 all the way to young adults of 21! Skates will be provided, so all you need for your child are gloves and thick socks. Remember to dress warmly and do stock up on coins to buy a warm drink from the vending machine.

Play like a Platypus
With six options of three-day workshops to choose from, there’s bound to be something for every child. Kids can be ‘Little Movie Stars’ or ‘Little Puppeteers’ as well as ‘Little Racers’. There are also ‘Little Architects’, ‘Little Animators’ and ‘Little Elves’ workshops available. All classes are small and have a maximum 1:7 teacher to student ratio so you can be sure that your little one gets the special attention that he or she deserves.

Get Stamped
Game for something different? How about spending the night at a museum? The Singapore Philatelic Museum has three different activities suitable for children aged 7 to 12 this year end. You can camp in the museum itself and enjoy a night of adventure, games and craft among stamps
(21 November and 5 December, 6 p.m. to 9 a.m., $80 per child); learn about mailboxes from around the world and make your very own tin mailbox

Join the Circus!
Did you ever dream of running away to join the circus when you were a child? Chances are, your child has as well! Let her go, to the circus skills camp at Act3 Drama Academy. There, Dan The Hat from UK will teach 7 to 12 year olds how to juggle scarves and balls, spin plates, perform hat tricks… all the better to impress classmates back in school next year! The week-long workshop culminates in a show in which children perform with Dan The Hat himself.

Act it Out
Budding thespians can nurture their craft at ACT3 Drama Academy. This year, there are three holiday workshops where kids will learn the use of physical expression and creative movement through stories. Children will be separated into different age groups for the workshops. There is one for 3 to 4 year olds, and another for 5 to 7 year olds. Each week-long workshop culminates in a presentation after the last lesson.

Camp, Y-Style
Whether your child enjoys outdoor adventures, sporty activities or friendly competition, one of the six camps organised by the Metropolitan YMCA will match his or her interests. Designed to develop a healthy body, mind and spirit, these camps are suitable for 8 to 12 year olds. Here, kids learn ways to camp in the wild, stay overnight at St John’s Island, go on countryside farm visits, a scavenger hunt, Amazing Race, Pulau Ubin explorations and more. Learn About Manners
Support the Singapore Kindness Movement by letting your child learn how to be more well-mannered, confident, gracious, considerate and respectful. Molly Manners is conducting classes at the Kindness Gallery for 4 to 7 and 8 to 12 year olds. The programme is held over six one-hour classes.

Speak Up!
Teach your child that her opinion matters. Singapore Children’s Society is holding its first ever Singapore Children’s Forum – Your Child’s Voice Matters. The aim, it says, is to let all children’s voices be heard with regards to matters that are related to them. There will also be an interactive panel discussion where children and adults exchange viewpoints. This is a free event, but registration is necessary for admission.

Be a Ping Pong Champ
The Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) is holding a two-day training camp to promote the sport as well as to develop talents from young. Create a Computer Game
Saturday Kids is holding workshops for children between 7 and 12 years old to learn Scratch, a visual programming language. Children will build their own animations and games by coding their way to a variety of character movements. My Art Studio runs art programmes for 4 to 12 year olds and DramARTise! programs for 5 to 8
year olds. There are six Christmas art programmes to choose from: 3D craft, stained glass painting, relief painting, fabric craft or a self-portrait. There are discounts if you register for more than one lesson or if you register as a group.
