I believe fet chance are higher than fresh... fresh the hormones not normal so is lesser chance for bfp...purely my observation

Hi, a sister asked some time back regarding effective duration of endo scratch.
I've asked my kkh Dr, she said no one really knows. Anyway my last one was done in Jan and she is not advising me to do a new one.

Go BKK look for alternative means ? Unfortunately I didn't get good vibes from her too and changed 6 months after no results. No offence to her and her patients.

Sorry, can't remember, but it's not expensive in the context of ivf, around $150+ as a private pt at kkh. This is done before ivf cycle commences.
I feel it's worth a try cos statistics show that it helps, though mine did not work out well.

Actually studies show that FET have higher success as our hormones would have normalized and not affected by earlier injections. Hope my FET will bring out positive results.

I did mine in the 4th week of my last AF, i.e.the week before the next AF comes (Which was planned to start IVF)
must practise protected sex because the scratch can be detrimental to an embryo.
It's like a pap smear, done in 10 mins, not much pain for me, just some spotting the day after.

Hi gals, I am feeling stressed before ivf. My first ivf is scheduled in May. Still got a long way oredi feel stressed out. I do not have friends who has fertility issues and undergoing ivf. so no one to turn to except my hubby.

side effects are bloatness, nausea.. bloatness mayb due to the growth of eggs/follicles.. lucky i do not hv OHSS although total ER18 eggs.. drink lots of red date n longan water..

I just got an Open Date for my next appointment in KKH. Told to call arrange for scan on my 1st day menses. Excited, another 15 more days towards the next step. They be arranging the counselling stuff and signing papers. In view of my age, the stuff says will try slot me in for early slot. Told now the queue is till Jul 15 now. Do not know when is my turn. Happy to share the news.

1I read thru ur post again... You have very good fertilisation rate - 19 out of 21!! And u have 6 blasts too (not easy for embryo to make it to blasts stage). If you don't mind to share, may I know what made u opt for IVF? I'm curious as it appears you have good quality eggs.
Can u also share what prep talks the nurses told u which made a difference?
Am going for my first fresh cycle next month, anticipating but feeling somewhat nervous when May is approaching. Am with kkh though.

Hmm, we were married for 5 years and we were letting nature take its course. It didn't work and the last 2 years we were then actively trying after seeing doctors and learning how to test ovulation, went on clomid and even had 3 attempts at IUI. My hubby's numbers were not great so maybe it was a factor but then I think it was just unexplained for us. We then decided to proceed with ivf.
The ET nurses I experienced for my FET were very kind. They took some time to wheel me back as they had to sort out some stuff in the OT but when they could they spoke to me, showed me their own kid's photos, told me I have to take it easy and rest well, don't move around, ask the taxi driver to drive slowly when I go home, told me the embryo is very precious etc. I was very touched and it just added to the positivity overall. Even after I went back to the day ward the nurses on duty were also nicer than what I experienced during my fresh cycle. They came promptly with the bed pan when I called, they came back promptly to collect the bed pan and were willing to help me take things from my bag (cos my hubby wasn't around). During my fresh, the nurse left me with my bed pan under my butt for so long while she took her own sweet time coming back and it was so uncomfy. So overall my FET experience was better also because of the nurses' attitude.
when i was there few weeks back, i overheard a patient talking to Dr Zou about her ivf experience in BKK. Apparently Dr Zou heard of that doctor before and she has patients who went to him for help.

I have done the endometrium polyp and curetting surgery to remove multiples polycysts from my lower womb last Friday. Today I just collected my report and result was not so good. I diagnosed with endometriosis carcinoma (grade 1), it's a form of cancer but in its early stage. Tmr will be going for my MRI and CT scan and then on Friday seeing the cancer specialist. Suppose to collect my IVF injections this Friday for stimulations on Saturday, think all must aborted. I was so devastating.
Hi Elsieoh can really understand how devastating this must be for you...no words of comfort the news you got. Its all timing. Life has its ups and downs. Full if surprises and challenges. You got to be strong hold on and persevere to motherhood. Take time to treat the endo issue first. Many with cervical and other types of tumours also conceived successfully after treatment. Matter of time for ups in life. Hold on and pray for strength and healing.

Had the same dosage as prescribed by Dr too. I think they are more concerned w lining after the jabs, so to know if ready for ER n ET. Honestly i didn't bother to find out. Doc says ready to go, go.

Sorry to hear the sad news. However it's because of IVF that's why you went to check. Abit like blessing in disguise as you managed to discover the cancer. Hope you get the best treatment and really just focus on getting well more than anything. Your health is most important. I am angry with myself sometimes stressing over ttc. It's no good for health. Wish you a speedy recovery!

Hi, I was on gonal f 375 Iu ( due to size and age I think). I peeped at my reading. Start of stim, my lining was 2mm.
Right, almost everything have prepared and scheduled for IVF planning and got this piece of new, really depressed. Yes health comes first then anything.
She says BKK can do chromosome test n do IVF thr is better. But the issue was that I am seeing her to make me feel better n not feel even more shitty abt my situation. And to be honest I felt my body was doing fine aft my 1st delivery. Even my other TCM doc thinks so. But she says my body is worst than b4 my 1st delivery..

elsieho, try to clear the cancer cells first. ivf can wait . next time can adopt also. we all try our best to conceive , but if really cannot or our condition or circumstamces do not allow us to have our own child , no big deal. health comes first. ivf may not be good for your condition . I wish you well . may God heal you and strengthen you . finding out earlier gives you a very good chance of cure and clearance with the right treatment . be strong and fight! lots of hugs . my tots are with you, my prayers too.
i think dr zou is a nice lady. much much better as a person as compared TSB. TSB scolds, give sacarstic remarks and abit too full of herself.
some times i also feel down and angry over doctors' comments , feel that they cannot empathize wif ple lik us we are suffering so much to have a child.
however, sometimes what they say is also true . she may not be good in diagnosing your condition and say things that disappoints u ,but it is true that going overseas to do ivf has much much higher success rate. i think she is just trying to give advice to her patients so they will not waste too much time and heartache on ivf failures and miscarrriages .
even my Dr urged me to consider overseas ivf. ivf overseas wil raise your chances as much as up to 50% more . reason being the possibility of doing genetic tests that wil eliminate all bad embryos . in singapore, we wouldnt know if the embryos for transfer have any chromosomes issues. these are not visible to naked eye. non implantantation, miscarriages r mostly due to chromosome issues .
of course doing ivf overseas has its own set of problems. apart from lots of preparation research and homework to b done, financial burden and time constraint, one also has to consider one very important thing- tests of chromosome can only be ideally done on a day 5 blastocyst , and minimal a day 3 embryo . doing it on day 3 embryo has higher possibility of damaging the embryo. thus if one cannot have blastocyst or have very low number of eggs ,overseas ivf may not be a good option too.
since u are so blessed to have one child liao, maybe you will not be so desperate to do ivf overseas and maybe also no necessity to do so. dun bother about wat she said that might hurt u or disappoint u, Drs can nevr always be a good listener to all her patients or nice all the time .i told myself i am seeing a dr , get best treatment , i shd not expect them to be aunty agony. that is y i still sees tsb after being badly treated by her hahaha..
Maybe change tcm dr if u feel her diagnosis is not accurate as compare to otr tcm?

hi @twinkletot, I usually turn to work to forget about the IVF stress, turn to family and friends to keep an active lifestyle. I don't have to talk about IVF with family and friends. I confide only in hubby and forum sisters about IVF and TTC. I had one girlfriend who was going through IVF at the same time as I was. However, we couldn't talk much either as IVF is a very personal matter. I try my best not to think about babies. I research on IVF to improve my chances. Also, I do online shopping for therapy.

Living a complete life does not necessary mean you must have gone through parenthood. IVF may not be suitable for you now. Since grade 1 of endometriosis carcinoma is an early stage, take the medication and recover first. You have your dh to think about too. Once the doctor certify you in pink of health and if you still want to have a child of your own, then try ivf again. Nothing is more important than your life and well-being. With a healthy body, you can do whatever you want to do. Jia You!

I have started my second cycle. I failed my First cycle in January. This time I am full prepared and ate lots of folates and iron rich food like avacados and dates to make my body rest and prepare for this cycle. I am going to have my Egg pick up tomorrow. WHat should I do after Egg pick up day? I am pretty active person and love to move around. I was reading up on methods I should do for Successful implantation to take place. Most of the articles mentioned eating Pineapple slices with core. This I beg to defer. Are there any other ways I can prepare my body for the successful implantation(To thin Uterine Lining)? CM and Selenium Rich food are mostly mentioned in the search.
