March 2025: Eat, Play, Shop and More for Families in Singapore This Month

Heads-up, there’s much to look forward to this March, from the school holidays to new attractions like Rainforest Wild ASIA (P/S: Get a FREE child ticket with every two adults tickets here!). It’s also the month of Ramadan, and we’ll soon be sharing the best buffets for our Muslim friends to break fast at. Rainforest Wild Asia (opens 12 March!)

Gear up for adventure at Singapore’s fifth and newest zoological park! Explore eight unique zones and see 36 animal species (including Singapore’s first-ever Francois’ langurs and endangered wildlife from Southeast Asia) from the treetops, the forest floor, and even beneath the earth in cave chambers inspired by Sarawak’s UNESCO-listed Mulu Caves.

Bedtime Storytelling

LKCNHM Book Launch: Adventures of Ida Pfeiffer & Museum Magic

The Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum is launching two new children’s books and all kids are invited to be part of the fun. Join storytelling sessions and a DIY handicraft workshop and make your very own tiger bookmark. You could get to win exclusive Museum merchandise as well. Do note that children aged 3 and below will not be allowed to enter. Children aged 6 and below must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.

HydroDash at The Palawan @ Sentosa

It’s thrills and spills galore at Singapore’s first and only floating aqua park, now bigger, bolder and more action-packed than ever. The newly revamped course features over 30 thrilling obstacles, including 12 brand-new additions. Jump from The Mountain—a towering four-metre-high peak, test speed, balance, and courage on the Zig Zag course, and challenge your strength, agility and balance on the overwater Dip Bars. Note: Children must be 6 years old and above and at least 1.1 metres to play, and each six-year-old must be accompanied by an adult in a 1:1 ratio.

Gemilang Kampong Gelam 2025

Celebrate the vibrant heritage of Singapore’s oldest urban district during the Islamic holy month. This 35-day Ramadan Bazaar brings together 120 F&B and retail partners, featuring a mix of traditional and contemporary delights such as House of Lemang, Picanhas and Satay Ummi together with modern flavours from Smashed Burger, Al Papi and Flamboyant Goon. The dazzling Sultan Mosque Light Show — not to be missed! — features an original score by Singaporean music composer Mr Sha’aban Yahya this year.

Five Foot Way Festival

Immerse the kids in history as they watch a Chinese circus show, see stilt walkers, try plate spinning and Beijing opera, go on an immersive guided tour of the newly reopened Chinatown Heritage Centre that meticulously recreates the 1950s interiors of the precinct’s shophouses.

Tales from the Nusantara

Join storyteller Hafiz Rashid as he explores the spirit of Ramadan through folktales from the Nusantara, and get creative as he guides kids through a hands-on craft activity. This session is open to parents with children between the ages of 5 to 10 years old.
22 March, 11am and 2pm, at Our Tampines Hub. Free admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mirror Mirror: Journey Into the Mind (opening this March)

Slip inside the eye of your mind through an immersive, multisensory world where cutting-edge technology and art converge. Created in partnership with international multimedia studio Moment Factory, Mirror Mirror: Journey Into the Mind is inspired by the boundless creativity of the human mind. Wander through eight rooms filled with illusions, vibrant colours and interactions, light displays, mirror reflections, and multicoloured fog, watch intimate interviews with neuroscientists, and see the work of Singaporean artist and Young Artist Award winner Genevive Chua.

Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer among Singaporean women, with more than 2,000 women diagnosed each year? That’s why 365 Cancer Prevention Society and Icon Cancer Centre have come together to organise #My1stMammo, which offers free breast cancer screening for women aged 40 and above in Singapore, who hold a valid blue/orange CHAS card or Public Assistance (PA) card. Support the campaign and benefit more at-risk women by donating here.

March On! 2025

Visit a travelling library, find out what happens when a theatre turns into an emergency centre after a flood warning, and more at this annual arts festival dedicated to young audiences. Even the youngest ones are included, with an immersive, non-verbal, theatrical experience (A Drop in the Ocean) that’s designed for pre-walking babies, crawlers and early walkers aged 3 to 15 months.

Temasek Foundation × SSO: Music in the Meadow

It’s tough to bring little ones to formal concerts, when you’re worried they may fuss and disturb other concert-goers. That’s why we love these casual SSO concerts, where everyone is welcome to enjoy easy-listening classical music in a relaxed environment. Bring the family, the kids, the fur kids, and a picnic basket! Come early to enjoy free pre-show activities such as the ever-popular Instrument Petting Zoo from 4pm to 5pm. Admission is free!

Peter, the Wolf and Friends

Classical music and stories come to life in this anthology of three musical tales told through the animateurs and vaudeville-inspired storytellers of Really Inventive Stuff, accompanied by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. If you’ve wanted to introduce the kid to classical music, this production, with the jingles and whistles of the Toy Symphony, Aesop’s timeless tale of The Tortoise and the Hare, as well as Really Inventive Stuff’s signature production of Peter and the Wolf, is perfect. Recommended for ages 4 and above. No admission for infants-in-arms. No admission without a ticket. There will be pre-concert activities an hour before each show.

A HA! 8 Minutes of Light

Join lovable hero A Ha as he embarks on an epic quest to find the sun and save the world in this hilarious adventure by The Theatre Practice’s award-winning Theatre For Young Audiences productions. It’s part of the Berries Chinese Theatre Festival: Family Edition from 6 April to 4 May, which will showcase two theatrical productions and two artful interactive experiences for the family.
