Getting Crafty with Hello Kitty!
On the 25th of August 2015, members of the blogging community were treated to a hands-on crafty morning, courtesy of Brother International Singapore. The leader in home and business IT peripherals that focuses on the “Customer First” approach, has recently launched PT-D200KT, an all new standalone electronic labeller from the Brother P-touch series.
Specially tailored for hobbyists and enthusiasts of artisanal handicraft, this electronic labeller allows users the flexibility to generate labels in accordance to their preferences, simultaneously adding a delightful touch of Hello Kitty to their label designs! Fans of Hello Kitty can look forward to an extensive range of built-in Hello Kitty frame designs and symbols. With over twenty frames and thirty symbols of Hello Kitty designs to choose from, users can enjoy a wide selection in making aesthetically pleasing labels to adorn their handiwork!
The hands-on event kicked off with a briefing on Brother’s products and accessories, mainly focusing on how Brother’s labeller tapes are resistant to extreme heat and cold, and will not detach themselves in the wash! This was demonstrated by a few videos, one of which you may watch here. Participants then got to try out a few of Brother’s products, such as the Hello Kitty electronic labeller, the Scan ‘N’ Cut machine, as well as the Hello Kitty sewing and embroidery machine. Bloggers had been encouraged to bring their own materials and projects to experiment on with the machines, such as fabric for the embroidery machine as well as designs to try out on the Scan ‘N’ Cut. As a memento, participants were each given a pouch which they could decorate with iron-on rhinestones as well as Hello Kitty embroidery pieces.
Built with the latest TZe print engine, PT-D200KT comes with an impressive print speed of 20mm per second! With its fast print speed coupled with the short time required for designing labels, PT-D200KT is a desirable asset for fuss-free crafting. Labels can now be created quickly on demand within a limited span of time. Apart from the incorporation of the Hello Kitty interface in PT-D200KT, crafters may also design their labels on Brother TZe laminated tape, which features a Hello Kitty watermark background. PT-D200KT comes with a default TZe-HW31 laminated starter tape cartridge of four metres tape length, pre-designed with Hello Kitty symbols and black ink ribbon.
“At Brother, we believe in and adopt a ‘Customer-First’ approach. With state-of-the-art printing technology, the PT-D200KT will deliver superior value to its users by allowing quick and easy creation of high quality labels,” says Mr. Shinji Tada, Managing Director, ASEAN, at Brother International Singapore. “What’s more, it allows hobbyists and handicraft enthusiasts to add creative flair to their labelling needs with a unique Hello Kitty design.”
