Working while on maternity leave

Hi all,

Just curious to know if your boss can ask you to work from home while you are on maternity leave. And also, do you have to update your boss on your personal schedule while on maternity leave?

Hello!

Base on what you posted, im guessing you employer asked you to work during your maternity leave and asked for your personal schedule?
I have searched up on singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) website...I am not too sure about maternity period but from the website, it states that the employer cannot ask the employee to "work during the first 4 weeks of her confinement."

Maybe you can speak to your employer first to clarify the situation?
