Hi,

I wanna do torch test to prepare for pregnancy as I am keeping a dog with me.
Can any one recommend a clinic to do this?

Thanks

I have a dog too, for many years. I have pregnant friends with dogs and gave birth to healthy babies.

Unless you have a cat, which may expose you to Toxoplasmosis (a type of parasite).
Otherwise dogs will not pass you Herpes, Rubella & HIV.

Remember, a dog is for life.

FYI, Not all cats have toxoplasmosis, unless the cat has been exposed to the parasite. In fact, the chances of human getting toxoplasmosis from eating raw meat is much higher than getting from cats.

I adopted a stray cat & as part of my pregnancy plan, I sent him for the toxoplasmosis tests at mount pleasant veterinary & his results came back clean. In fact, I m currently 25 wks pregnant & I do clean his litter box when my hubs is out of town, but with gloves & mask.

So, if you are concerned abt your pets, it will give you a peace of mind to just do the test.
