toothache during pregnancy

Yep I faced the same... Even gums bleeded often.. It's normal as our harmone level increase and gums become too sensitive.. Better maintain good oral hygiene like listerine after every meal and brushing twice will help :)

Try listerine mouthwash after every meal... Due to increase in harmone level our gum muscles becomes swollen and vulnerable therefore when we eat anything or brush it gets affected.. Will pain and even bleed... I could not eat an apple when pregnant.. My gum used to pain b bleed

I feel tooth ache when i'm pregnant, its really hurt, my head like burning. i only brush my teeth every meal, a little bit help.

Hi ladies,

Do note that the toothache u felt could be due to calcium deficiency. I had the same problem and even saw a dentist. Dentist it could be pseudo pain caused by my wisdom tooth. I had it extracted within 1 week cos I couldnt stand the pain... but I was still having toothache after the extraction.

By accident, I realised that when I was diligent with my calcium supplements, I will have no toothache. And again experience toothache when I forget my supplements.

For those who are taking calcium, do ensure that your calcium supplement also contains vit d and magnesium as they help in the calcium absorption.

I did my root canal (part one) & ache the very night. Used iced cold water to numb it. Brush teeth again.. No choice. Cry like mad due to the terrible ache.

I am having toothache at my bottom right tooth right at the back.. it could be the wisdom tooth.. just wondering if it's ok to go to the dentist and remove it? I am currently only 4-5 wks pregnant..

Me! I had tooth decay on my wisdom tooth and spread to my second molar during second pregnancy :(
Did surgery to remove 4 wisdom teeth after delivery but my decayed molar only left half :( so ended up need to remove the nerve first then queue up for root canal at NDC.

Hi. Anyone can share whether safe to see dentist for toothache and root canal treatment? So worried and hoping it's just a gum infection.
