Skipping certain tests during pregnancy

Hi,

Quick question. Anyone here skips certain tests during pregnancy? This is my 3rd pregnancy & I think i would want to go for the important tests only. Can I check which scan/screening are the important ones?

(I used to go for all the tests/scans/US back then during my 1st & 2nd child but I kinda forgot which are the important ones)

Why would you want to skip? Not all pregnancies are the same. And most of the test/screenings done are necessary to monitor the health of the baby. Doctors don't anyhow anyhow test.

Off the top of my head, 6 weeks (viability)12 weeks (trisomy test) and 20 week (detailed scan of organs). The rest is to monitor growth of the baby, amniotic fluid, position and heartbeat.
