To keep or not to keep?

Hi all mummies,

I am in a dilemma. Just found out that I am 10 weeks pregnant. I am happy and want to keep the baby. But due to certain circumstances am not sure whether to keep.
1) my age is 39, 1st pregnancy, scared high risk for baby and me. Also my health is not so good, not sure can tahan full term.
2) my finances are very tight, worried that I will not be able to provide well for the baby. Everything cost money.
3) no one to help me look the baby after I return to work when maternity leave is over.

Having a child is a life long commitment, and to have one at this age, I am worried.

Anyone with same feelings? I have mixed feelings and could not decide to keep or let it go?

Understand your feeling. Raising a kid definitely not cheap. But the joy they gave us is worth more(of course there is time u wan squeeze them back to tummy).

Tok to gynae. See wad are the risk for u and the baby. I also preggy now. And I'm 37. Not young too. Worst hb not staying Singapore. So I'm alone with my kids and pregnant. Dunno how I'm going to survive. But I will do it.

Financial wise. For infant care its more ex. But as they grow bigger slightly cheaper. All my kids nv go enrichment class. Only childcare..the cheaper one is 300 plus afrer subsidy. Infant care i know is ard1k. But exact i not sure.

I choose to have helper instead of infant care. But good helper if difficult to find.

Be positive and happy to have a happy baby.

Persevere on.... It may seemed like everything is so bleak... but I agree, d joy of bringing seeing d baby in your arms...

B positive... u will c dat d child will bring u great joy dat no amount of money can buy.

Your doc will b able 2 advise u if u can n able 2 bring d baby 2 full term. So dont worry too much.

Do take care....

Is not easy for many to get to pregnant. Since you are already pregnant and at 39, which i think is ok (I know of many who are 40 and still trying), i strongly reco you to keep it.
For health it depends on ur doctor reco, how bad is your health? The baby is healthy and going strong at 10 weeks which goes to show ur body is healthy for conception.

Yes i know finances are going to be very tough, but save on other miscellaneous then. I had to spend close to 60k just to have a kid.

There is always infant care too. There are now govt subsidies.. at 39, the baby didnt come easily. Hope you treasure it..
