Does this forum have one? If so, can any kind soul direct me please?
I have 3 kids all in primary school next year, working mum and planning to go "Maid-less"...

Not sure what kind of help/support you require. I used to be maid-less when my kids were in primary school
First of all, does the primary school your children attending have after school service? If so, you can use the service.
For meals, i can provide you with suggestions if this is what you need (you can PM me). I do home-cook, not so much take away. I feel sorry for kids who eat take-aways everyday.
I believe if you dont have a maid, you either engage part time maid or do the cleaning on weekends.

hi prudentmummy,
I'm not maidless yet, coz worried I can't cope with all the housework and cooking without one.
hm...will check out thermal pot, thanks!

Interesting new thread. I have a 21 month old with no maid. My boy goes to Infantcare since he was 5 months when I went back to work. Now that he started solids, we use the thermal pot to cook his rice each morning. Boil over stove and leave it in thermal pot. Becomes nice fluffy rice by evening for his dinner. It did take us some trial & error to get it right.

For his dinner, we pre-cook all the vegetables every 1-2 weeks and freeze them in small quantities. So each day, we take out 2-3 oz of vegetables eg broccoli, potato, squash, peas, spinach etc.

We buy fresh fish (cod or silverfish mainly); wash and cut into 2-3 portions. Each portion is for one meal.

My hubby gets home at about 1730 each day. Takes one portion of fish & vegetables. Boil water & cook them in the water. Takes less than 5 minutes. The mixture goes into the thermal pot with the rice and he goes to fetch our boy from childcare. My boy eats his dinner about 1900.

PS. My hubby is the one who does all the marketing and cooking. Not me.

We do have a cleaner that comes in once a week to clean the house. But we do our own laundry. Manageable and didn't see the need to have a maid.

I am a full time working mum with 2kids in K1 and k2. Maidless and handle everything on my own. It was crazy and tiring, but I have survived so far. :)
