Hi all mummies

Does any of your kids ever got stomach flu??

My boy is only 3 yrs 4 mth.. He often got stomach flu..

Wonder any mummies got any experience and how u cope w it?

Regards

My LO has diarrhea quite often. You need to make sure that your son stays hydrated.
If it doesn't get better I would check with a doctor.

My son also has this problem, always complaining of tummy pain. Different kinds like stomach infection, stomach flu, stomach ache, all sorts and kinds. Now, I make it a point for him to take biogaia daily. I think it helps. =)

My DD and DS had stomach flu previously.. As @Trishaa indicated, please keep them hydrated.
They keep vomiting whatever they eat.. I ended up giving them only fluids, no solids, like milk and water or isotonic drinks diluted with water..
I don't give them sweet stuff...

Hope this helps.. It should go away after a day or so..
If worried go see a doctor asap. they have medication to lower the vomit tendancies..
If not so worried, wait a day or so before going to see a doctor..

For me, after happening a few times, seasoned liao.. don't bring them to see doctor unless it persists for more than 1 day.. but keep them hydrated all the time, plus have lots of pails available for the vomit..

Is your child ok to chew? Its lemon flavor. If not, get the oral drops.

For the oral drops, its cheaper to get from the pd clinic directly. Pharmacy carries too. It's basically a probiotic drop good for the stomach gut.

If your child can chew, the tablets are cheaper. I order directly from drugstore to save. Retail carries too but more exp.

My boy is now 5, at the stage where tooth is dropping and he tends to shake his shaky tooth. Hence, I still continue him on the tablets daily to minimize any chance of infection. Hope this helps

Hi Kim,
you may look into strengthening his immunity since you mentioned he gets stomach flu often via eating wholesome food/diet. 99% of diseases and illnesses arise from low immune system.
also be aware as now many pple take supplements http://www.naturalnews.com/040147_vitamin_c_ascorbic_acid_synthetic_vitamins.html, they actually can upset our probiotic flora

our bodies are supposed to be self regulating, meaning able to self produce the probiotics in the body if its functioning well. I think in time of diarrhea, they can help but we should not be relying on them for long term. the body has to self regulate.

My gals also has stomach flu. Keep them hydrate n lower their food intake. The more they eat the more it will come out. So eat less n the food can stay in their body rather than coming out.

I let them drink millenium to strengthen their immunity so can recover faster
