Recommendations Needed for Divorce Lawyer

Hi all, i need a good/experienced divorce lawyer for full child custody, maintenance & stuff. I've tried all ways to salvage my marriage of slightly over 3 years, but apparently it doesn't work cause i'm not the one who strays x no. of times, and not the want who is not trying to salvage this. Thank god no house/flat is involved.

My friend recommends me to get from Lam & Co. - Advocates & Solicitors . Anyone has any experience with them for divorce cases before? Or if you have recommendations for any lawyers? Thanks alot, really...

I have not tried lam and company/...are they good?

I looked really hard for a d-lawyer too. One I met (recc by a friend's friend) told me I have no case for adultery and I went to 3 other lawyers and they told me I have a case. Really scary sometimes.

There are some really good ones in town.

Depends on the level of complication of your case.

I think Foo Siew Fong of Harry Elias is an impressive doyen of matrimonial law.

If you have kids, do try all ways and means to salvage the marriage. I know you must have tried hard.

Don't be discouraged. Sometimes, all it takes is for a credible person to talk to him, rather than us ourselves.

kid or no kid, i feel if he have the heart to have affair, then he should know he would lose his family

How do your lawyers bill u? are they transparent in their charges? Do they tell u upfront how much what will cost etc or only at the end? Do they charge for emails n phone call consultation? )

I totally agree; if the man dares to have an affair, he should know what he is at risk of losing...

But I understand from seeing some couples and men that when the man does it, they are normally caught up in the sweet talk and euphoria of things, and they stop thinking with their brains. It sounds like excuses to me, but seems to happen... I'm not saying it is right. Didn't these men stop to think the immense pain and hurt they would bring to their families....

If only men are more honest and logical....

I'm having an appt with one of e lawyer tmr.. am just curious, how much will u be askng frm the other party for 1 child age 3? cause i really have no idea. My gf was telling to throw all expenses in as much as i can, but i just can't come up with an amt....
