Any dinner for LO?

Always good to start with single flavor puree - introduce one new food at a time, once a day, and maybe same item for 2-3 days. You can try these: apples, nectarines, carrot, pumpkin, sweet potato, etc. The reason for isolating the items, and using the same menu for a few days is that some food might make them bloated (cry in the evenings), some might have skin allergies, etc. So if one food makes them cry in the evening 3 days in a row, pretty safe to think that is the food to avoid for the time being.

Also, before there is the "mixed fruit/veggie" there should be pure whole food. Do not start by disguising the not so sweet food (carrot) with apples. This will make them lean toward the sweet foods. Give them a variety of sweet and non-sweet I.e. avocado, green peas and carrot, vs apples, pears, etc.

When he graduate to porridge, you can try using the same "meat" ingredient with one of the "vegetable" ingredient. Again, introduce the meat (new) ingredient one at a time. So you will have meat items: fish, pork, beef, chicken; plus any of the vege combo: spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, etc etc.

Actually, I have no idea what Indian and Muslim babies eat! I say this from a culture point of view, and please, forgive me for my ignorance. Most baby porridge (Chinese families) is Fish + veggie. The Fish will be those fatty or bigbone fish like Kurau, Tenggiri, Cod, Salmon... Sometimes we change it to pork or beef. Beef is good because it helps to boast the iron for the baby. I know Korean and Japanese have similar kind of porridge (though they use different type of rice). For the Caucasians that I know, they start with the fruit/veggie puree, but instead of graduating to porridge, they just take whatever the adults eat, and put it in the blender! Add water, soup, or milk! So, if they are having pizza, they will put a small portion into blender + water or milk. If they eat pasta, they will put a small serving of that pasta into the blender! And then they will store and freeze for future use, too. As they get older, they will mash up with spoon/masher and then give to the baby. But, for me, I cannot accept that kind of food puree so I never tried. My Caucasian friend's, of course, didn't care to try my porridge either :p
