Pregnant and Got HFMD

I am 13 weeks now. 2 days ago I was diagnosed with HFMD. I have blisters and spots on my palms, feet, scalp, buttocks and ulcers in my mouth. I contracted it from my boy. However he only had high fever and sore throat. No spots. His classmate had HFMD. Doc said there are 200 variants of HFMD so each case is different from the rest.

I found out about it late Friday evening and my gynae clinic is closed over this long weekend and i can only reach her on Tuesday. I am worried the virus will affect my unborn child. Anyone in similar situation like me before?

Went to 2 doc and they told me nothing to worry about but i feel assured hearing from gynae. I was given some throat oral lotion for my ulcers which both gp said it is safe for pregnancy but i still did not dare to take it.

My boy had hfmd when I was 8 mths pregnant with my second kid. My GP also said no need worry. I didn't contract it though. But since two GPs said shd be fine I guess you don't worry too much. Take care and hope you and your child revover soon

It should be fine since GPs mentioned that. But if you feel that it is still unsafe, visit your gynae and allow her/him to check on the throat oral lotion before applying
