Pediasure for 3 yr old?

My son is turning 3 yrs old in May this year. He is currently on Friso 3. As he's been consistently hving v bad cough, I'm contemplating changing his milk powder.

However, he's tried enfagrow, similac in the past n is not suitable, causing v bad constipation. I'm wondering whether to switch to pediasure when he turns 3 yrs old.

This is also because my son doesnt like to eat. My concern is, whether pediasure is too sweet, or known to cause phlegm or constipation frequently as well.

Any advice?

dear first_born,

my gal is turning two. she has been taking Gain IQ but due to her small appetite, i decided to let her try Pediasure.

By small appetite, i mean she only eats about 2 solid meals per day. Each meal is less than half a chinese bowl of porridge/rice.
Nowadays, she prefers to eat baby cereal instead!
in between, she snacks a little like bits of bread, biscuits, or cheese. She hates fruits, fish & meat. So you can see i do have a hard time making her eat.

before i switched to pediasure, i did raise my concern to her PD but she actually discouraged me from it.
she mentioned that Pediasure is more for underweight kids. the milk is high in calories to help "fatten" babies but at the same time, it also makes them full.
so after taking pediasure, they will eat even lesser solid foods.

however i do have friends telling me their kid's appetite improved after pediasure. so i went ahead to try. i only gave my girl pediasure during the last feed of the day before she sleeps.
she doesn't constipate but she poos every 2-3 days.

pediasure is sweeter than Gain IQ. My girl has no problems when i let her try, even the strawberry flavour ones.

The Pediasure triple sure is a good way to get the right nutrition if toddlers are very choosy with food. However, the trade off is stomach discomfort, which I find is synonymous with most or all milk based product. But I would like to comment that the distributor, Abbott S'pore is not a very family-friendly business entity - they charge you $12 delivery charge if you need a couple of sachet (5pks for $14.05)for that short vacation where it's inconvenient to bring the can of milk on a plane. And it's not available anywhere except online! I think it's about time they adjust their policy to be more customer friendly - towards customers who'd been contibuting to their bottom line!
