Hi, anyone experienced rather large ovarian cyst in early pregnancy? Cld u pls kindly share yr experience and recommended obgyn? Thks!
hi! I was diagnosed with a 5cm ovarian cyst when i was 6 weeks pregnant. Now in my 10 weeks and its about 6+ cm. Doc told me to be careful of not exerting myself by climbing stairs etc. As long as it doesnt cause any pain it should be fine. He says most of these cysts should shrink in the second trimester and even if it doesnt can be removed by c-sect during delivery. I am seeing Dr TC Tan at KKH. How about u?
Don't give up hope babe. It might still shrink by 14 weeks. My gynae once told me he saw one patient who had a 10cm cyst n it shrunk when she entered second tri. So don't give up hope yet! But if u really need to schedule for the op do take care!
Don't give up hope!! I had a big cyst on my left ovary when i was pregnant with my boy. It's size stay put at week 16. therefore i didn't do anything to it. I opt for C-sec so i can remove the cyst after baby was born.Thks to all mommies for replying me. My cyst grew fr 6cm to 8cm in 3.5 days. Scary right? I think keyhole is inevitable. Just hope I can tahan until 14th week
Pls keep me in your prayers.

Thks. The cyst at last scan was 3.5x2.5. It's the last of my worries now actually cos I've had two bleeding episodes, one just a week back n was extremely heavy. So rly just keeping fingers crossed
are you seeing a norm
Are you seeing a normal O&G doctor? or should you seek a second opinion with a high risk pregnancy doctor? You can try Dr Tony Tan at Raffles Hospital. He is an O&G dr who is specialised in high risk pregnancy doctor. i googled that he is now the president of all O&G dr
You may try KK hospital . I remove my 2 ovarian cyst. 1->7cm another 0.5cm so during 16 weeks I have an operation in KK .
Dear ladies, when u all have cysts, do u all have bleeding in between periods?

I had a cyst on my right ovary, found out at 9 weeks. Cyst was 7.5cm, and the scans showed it's a dermoid cyst. My doctor advised not to remove it as surgery (even keyhole) carries risk for miscarriage and the likelihood of it rupturing isn't very high. The cyst didn't shrink throughout my pregnancy but it didn't cause any problem for my baby too. I delivered my son at 39 weeks, 3.2kg via emergency c-sec as my water broke and his heart rate kept going up. My gynae was really good, he asked my hubby to remember to remind him to take out my cyst if I ever need a c-sec. In the end, my hubby did, and he removed the cyst all at once, with no extra charge too! According to e doc, my cyst was "not small", but at the end baby and me are both safe and sound.
By the way, my gynae's Dr Benjamin Tham from Thomson Medical.
Hi there, chance upon ur post and I've the same issue as you, dermoid cyst on right ovary and same doctor too. But, Dr Ben did not advise me not to remove, instead he asked me to choose if I want to remove or not before week 18 when I was in week 12 (week 16 now). He did not advise me to have c-sec or offer free removal, which the cyst removal operation alone costs abt $5-6k after insurance coverage. Im kind of disappointed as Ive seen so many good reviews abt him before deciding my gynae. We also did the panorama test which costs 2k+, which is not necessary for me as Im below 35.... He's friendly and nice but I guess he is just too busy...Your Gynae is amazing and patients sure do feel secured or less worried with such a Gynae around. I've heard about Dr Ben Tham before... I should cuss this with my husband the soonest!
I'm feeling way more relieved after reading this. Thank you mummy
