Need your opinion

Hi,

My husband and myself meeting an insurance agent to discuss about potential health insurance for us. However, just two days ago, the personnel in charge messaged me, and told me to do her a favour- basically, she asked me to forward all my medical reports to her, so that she can pass to the relevant people about my queries. However, I am not comfortable with this, as aren't our medical reports supposed to be private and confidential?

I have not provided any to the person who asked me for it, and wonder if that will impact our meeting with her next Sat.

Is this standard practice, or is this hard-sell tactics?

Comments are welcome.

i know that for certain policies or certain advisors, they will request you to do a health check-up. so i guess its not really unheard of.

as for exactly which are the ones, i do not know.

Usually will be the underwriter of the insurance company asking for your health report. The insurance company will review your health report and exclude some items which they will not cover you
You can ask the agent to link you up with the underwriter who is asking you for your health report.

My insurance agent also ask me to give him my latest reports. Got what just give. If dun give, duno when claim, the insurance will chu pattern say we never declare... so better show hand is the best...

But if u nt comfortable with this agent, just change another. In case u buying axa maternity insurance , i can recommend mine
