Mummies trying for baby after 35 or after 40

Hi ladies...

I just wonder how many ladies got pregant after 35 or even after 40 and had a smooth delivery? A lot of pple around telling me to drop the idea of trying for baby... Pls advice..
 


I gave birth to my number 2 at 36. Am thinking of trying for number 3. Now I am going 40. How old are you?
 
I am 38 this year.. I had a miscarriage wen I was like 31.. Now v are serious about trying baby again..
 
A few of my friends gave birth in their early 40s... So it is possible..
Just need to take good care of our health.. Begin taking folic acid

I had my 1st child when I was 36 & my 2nd when I was 42. Both delivery were smooth. ..& thankfully labour wasn't too long too. So, don't stress out too much on what others say about age etc. Think positively & don't stop trying. *baby dust* :)
 
I had my first at 37. And i would say throughout the pregnancy, i was very active. Labour was about 5-6hours without any complications. anything is possible. Dont stress too much. Like the rest say, think positive.

A talk with a gynea might help too, esp if u been trying for awhile.

I am 36 trying for no. 2 now..have my first at 33. I think is possible but keep lifestyle healthy..
BTW how early should we take folic acid and is it can get easily from guardian or watsons?

Thanks for your reply.. Morning seeing such positive reply it boost me a lot... Once again thanks.. Yup at times those negative comments will pull ones down but pple like you will keep things in right track...

Hi Sysy,

Yup I am taking folic acid for the past 1 month plus... Yup you can buy from any pharmacy.. Hope all goes well for me... Looking forward to a 2016 baby with gods grace.. Hope you can have a 2016 baby too...

These are negative ppl around you pls stay away from them..please keep trying and don't keep thinking th u want a baby just relax let go & miracle will happen..get lucky ;)

Pls buy fr Guardian..50 tablets for $3..Watsons going for $4 same qty..

Hi ladies, just tested and had AFP a day ago. I m rchg big 4 end this yr and am happy to receive this precious gift as I had told myself not to try aft big 4. So ladies dun give up it is possible! :)
 
I got pregnant at 36 and I must say that it turned out to be a bit complicated than my previous pregnancy. My sugar went high and my daughter was affected too. Most doctors are telling that it is more risky when you reach 35 and above. However, my OB told me that I can still have another baby but make sure to get pregnant before turning 40 to avoid further complications.
 
@ Kasham,
I am 36 now and have my first in 9wks now. So you can start to take folid acid now early morning before food. Get from Unity is much cheaper as below

Congrats!!!

I am still trying waiting for God to give me a bundle of joy.. But same time I am taking supplements n forlic acid.
Recently my gf is asking me to see one gynae she saying he is a lucky gynae try n see.. Gonna try lets see how it goes..
 
I have two friends who both had their first kid at age 37; now 39 years old, they are both expecting their second child. They both conceived naturally both times.

I'm personally expecting my 4th now through SO-IUI (early days), and I'm 38 years. Don't give up.

I have been taking folic acid a year before I plan to try for baby. Most of my friends started taking it 3 months b4 trying.

I got mine from Unity
 
I delivered my 26 weeker baby boy at 815g Jan last year at 37yo. He is an iui baby, conceived in 2014 with pte clinic after I failed 2 iui & 1 ivf at kkh in 2012.
Diagnosis unknown. Cld be irritable uterus tat causes my water bag to break at week 23.
So far, my boy is healthy.

Do not worry.. God is there ur baby will be a healthy n smart one... I hope I can see my rainbow real soon...

Hi, I gave birth to my baby last year at 40, smooth c-sec delivery so don't give up trying!
 
gave birth to my 3rd when 36.
didnt take any folic acid beforehand as was unplanned :p
however just as long your diet is healthy and u exercise regularly ( once/ twice a week) that should put you in good place

however got GD (gestational diabetes ) with this preganacy largely due to age and previous preganancy was a big baby.
hence these are the symptons u hv to be aware of if planning post 35yo preganancy.
and it is much more tiring then before......
 
i gave birth to my #1 at age 36 and my 2nd at 40 . both kids are not planned .. and both kids entered our world via C sect cos both also big baby

my #1 one with borderline GD which only required monitoring of diet ... and #2 smooth ..no GD .everything as per normal
