I would like to recommend Auntie Jenny whom i engaged for my confinement. (Just ended on 19 jan 2016)
During the 1 mth, i find auntie jenny easy- going and she did her CL tasks dutifully (and more). I could leave my baby in her care with no worries while i head out for my medical appt cos she genuinely cares for my baby. During one of the first few nights after discharge, auntie alerted me when she noticed baby was having breathing difficulties. She came along with me and my hubby when we rushed baby to the hospital. It was in the middle of the night ard 1plus am. After we were back she continued with her tasks for the night (waking up to feed baby) and for the following day as well.
She is also supportive of breastfeeding... and without her help and encouragement, my BF journey could have been much tougher. She accompanies me on my lactation conultation appts and even helps me with the latching. (I wasn't particular abt letting her see my breasts as my top priority is to feed my baby. Auntie was also quite cool abt it too)
On her last 2nd day of assignment, she helped me washed a ton of stuff and even prepared a big pot of the vinegar dish for me to tie over the next few days after she is gone (she knows I will be caring for my baby on my own) . She also told me how to handle my baby and his routine. She even called me on the night she left to check that everything is OK.
Basically, she does what a CL would do and more. My baby is well taken care of and her presence made my transition to a first time mummy a smooth one.
