can i check if ur babies vomits after feeds? mine seems quite serious, even after burping/ even after an hour after feeds, she will still vomit out de.. she likes to stretch n stretch n then she puke.. any remedies on that? at times the vomit is so much that it comes out from the nose. very poor thing.

She could be having reflux lei. Small and early bbs tend to get reflux. The stretching is actually cos she's feeling uncomfortable.
how much are u feeding her now and at what interval? u may have to reduce her feeds to smaller volume but more frequently.
another thing is to keep her elevated when she's sleeping. i used to use an adult size pillow or u can use a thick folded blanket under the cot mattress to prop it up on one side so that she's sleeping at an incline.
if it gets very serious u can see a PD to get meds to control the reflux.

at one point my girl was only drinking abt 60ml each feed cos somehow she knows she will feel uncomfortable if she drink more so she automatically limit herself. i ended up feeding her every 2hrs instead.
it took abt 2wks of controlled feeding, carrying upright and sleeping elevated before i got my girl's reflux under control. she only outgrew it at abt 4mths or so.

Grumpus for ur daughter u were expressing to feed her? Not sure if I m too tired my bm quantity seems to drop.... Pumping will not increase supply? Can't meet my daughter demand and gave her 2 feeds of FM today.

Baby I also scared got infection coz I tot I was getting better but today can feel pain when I turn in bed such ad to my sides to sleep or get out of bed. But checked the area is dry, seems ok on surface. Not sure coz last couple of days when my baby screams for milk, I had sudden movement to get out of bed either to pump or see what's going on and hurt the area. I am already 17 post op. I have not worn the binder since home coz getting loose and the binder wld just move out of place when I sit.

i was expressing solely to feed my girl. But my girl was a small drinker. She drank like 100ml every 3hrs whereas i could pump abt 120-150ml every 3hrs. also, the 1st wk when she was in nicu she drank FM so i had a chance to build up my store.
so dun feel bad if u hv to supplement with FM.
Some of the things i did to build up my supply:
1) Pump religiously every 3 hrs. And i mean without fail! I had alot of support from hubby. mil and mother who would take over the bb when i had to pump. So pumping was always my priority.
2) Always massage and pump. I dun use hot towel unless i hv lumps.
3) Even after emptying my breasts, no more milk coming out, i continue to pump for awhile to give my body the signal that more is needed.
4) Drink lots and lots of fluid (>3L a day). More fluids give more bm volume
5) Eat lots of fish (salmon, cod etc etc). More nutritious food give thicker and richer bm which will last longer.

Gan, dun worry abt drop in ss. Mine also like stock market de. Up n down. My ss dropped when cl was abt to leave n gotta supplement with fm. Now on off I feed fm too ESP when we go out cos easier too. But I still pump diligently n store. Initially I was like u, sad abt the drop in ss but after a while I kan Kai le. I just pump whatever I have. Maybe u can try to take fenugreek. Can buy from gnc.

Grumpus my gal drinking is quite erratic now.... She sometimes drink 100ml but like yesterday afternoon she takes abt 70ml every 2 hrs but last night she was fussing and not sleeping well from 2 am to this morning 740am.. Mummies, I gotten my Oscar test result at kkh yesterday n I failed badly. The adjusted risk is 1:<100 for my twins in tri 21. My scans all went v well..my results is being pulled down by my papp A bt result.
Dh n I are unwilling to tk d amino test as I hv history of bleeding n spotting n risk of m/c for twins is v much higher...
I broke down yesterday after stepping out of kkh.. It is v stressful for Dh n myself at this pt of time..

Tickles my gal will be in infant care when I m back to work, that's why I am determined to feed her as much as possible during the first 3 mths. I m using the medela swing.... Regret not buying a duo pump leh coz seems like can cut down time spent in pumping.
Rostrum, I read in earlier thread that taking bt too early or for
multiples not accurate. U can go to Camden for a detailed scan.... Prof at Camden will scan in details such as nasal bone length, fingers, toes, ears, heart etc to assess the risk of T21. Scan will be done during ur 14 weeks. He will give u a report after the scan. Why not u go for the detailed scan? I did the scan too and knew that I am expecting a gal. =) I think baby didn't do bloodtest coz she is expecting twins too.

i also had a scare during my ds scan, mine was 1:64 risk and went thru counselling. but later blood test brought down the risk. like what gan said, for multiples bt may not be as accurate. the calculation is based on statistics, age, ivf etc...dun let it affect ur mood. go for second opinion at camden. u will be alright, dear. there has been many false alarm cases, just stay positive!!!

Happyhippo / tickles I am thinking of putting my gal in learning vision at gentle road Coz near my home and also workplace, easier to bring her home after work myself as hubby usually works late. The other infant care nearby is pat school house but that one more ex. I suppose to go visit the infantcare but didn't expect baby to deliver early. Ya infant ex!! The learning vision is charging $1500+gst, after subsidy must pay around $1000 a mth.

Most alcohol will evaporate after cooking, if u pump abt 2-3hrs after eating shd be ok.
i personally prefer to pump first then eat straight away so that by the next pump 3 hrs later, the alcohol shd be gone already.

My friend age 40 and her adjusted risk for DS is 1:4. She worried sick and did an amnio test turned out everything is fine. I have a singleton that time, did the blood test in week 10 and result is also not good. They offered me to do a doppler test to test blood flow to the fetus and it turned out to be normal.
From this forum, I have learned that blood test for twins is inaccurate. So don't worry.

Dun fret if your bm is not enough. Mine was never enough even though i latch on all the time, took doperidone, fenugreek. I can only get 70ml per 3hrs after 4mth+. i just pump as regularly and supplement with fm. Just give whatever amount you have. Main thing is not to stress and rest whevenever you can. And dun give up ok? Little bit better than nothing.

Dun blame yourself. It's not within your control. My blood to bb wasn't too good when i was preggy and resulted that his weight was lower than normal. And gynae told us that he may have to be induced at 28-32 wks if he doesn't grow well. We were so worried back but we just push on and hope for the best.
His birth wt was only 2.5kg. But right now, he is weighing 7.6kg at 4 mths+.

gnc fenugreek can take up to 6/day. There's another brand, nature's way which some ppl i heard took 9 a day! That's kinda weird cos 6 is max dosage according to gnc staff and both brands have 610mg of fenugreek/tablet.
Dun fret if your bm is not enough. Mine was never enough even though i latch on all the time, took doperidone, fenugreek. I can only get 70ml per 3hrs after 4mth+. i just pump as regularly and supplement with fm. Just give whatever amount you have. Main thing is not to stress and rest whevenever you can. And dun give up ok? Little bit better than nothing.

Dun blame yourself. It's not within your control. My blood to bb wasn't too good when i was preggy and resulted that his weight was lower than normal. And gynae told us that he may have to be induced at 28-32 wks if he doesn't grow well. We were so worried back but we just push on and hope for the best.
His birth wt was only 2.5kg. But right now, he is weighing 7.6kg at 4 mths+.

gnc fenugreek can take up to 6/day. There's another brand, nature's way which some ppl i heard took 9 a day! That's kinda weird cos 6 is max dosage according to gnc staff and both brands have 610mg of fenugreek/tablet.
