@Curiousbabe12 in term of govt subsidy, u get to do 3 fresh and 3 FET as long as u are citizen and have not turned 40.
So if you have done 1 fresh cycle and embark on Fet, it is considered 1 fresh and 1 frozen

I think I have fail my first fresh cycle. Have been bleeding/menses for the pass 6days. Going back Tuesday for BT I guess it will be a BFN! Sigh. By they way, do we need to rest for 2 menses cycle before transferring FET?

@Curiousbabe12, if u r doing medicated FET, not neccessary to wait 2 more cycles, u can actually do in ur next cycle (according to Dr Mathew) as u will b taking oral med to slow down e growth of e follicles..
Do not give up 1st.. Wait for ur BT.. I read somewhere some sistas still bFp even with bleeding..

Today is day 10 past transfer. The side effect of the inserts have slowly kicked in. Been feeling tired, try to lead a normal life

@ringbell, Is super heavy and full blood. So I have mental prepare myself. I went down on tues tell the nurse there I'm bleeding they give me a medicine to support saying that even I do BT now also no use. Ask me go back again this coming tues. I continue inside the medicine and oral medicine. But still bleeding. So I guess no hope Liao. Does FET cost a lot too? Now I also not sure how much I need to pay for my first fail cycle.
@Curiousbabe12 , dun give up hope till the BT day. BTW, Per FET cycle is about 1k + to 2k , after govnt subsidy, about sgd800-900 + was deducted from medisave account for each FET cycle.
I am SG Citizen, hubby PR. If both hubby n u are SG citizen , the amount will by lower.

As long as we hve done and gave our best , live life withOut regrets.I doubt u need to fork out anymore cash for ur Current cycle if based on my 1st fresh cycle experience. ONLY downside is only SGD15,000 Max could be utilised for life time on IVF treatment.

Thanks Baby1979. Will not give up!! Hope will not need to fork up too much cash. Cos the first bill not here yet. Feel lucky at least Gov to help with the subsidy. Will not have that much money to pay for Ivf.

@char-mee I read up on the side effect of progesterone which include tiredness, bloatedness etc. it is similar to pregnancy symptoms so I tried not to read too much into it. Will wait for the blood test

You don't need to jab anything after your trigger jab. They will give you a time to jab. Don't jab it too early. Jab according to the timing they give you.

wow mesara, thanks for thinking for all of us. Kkh thawed all my remaining 5 embryos, think they were Day 0 to begin with, coz i transferred only 3 days later, Dr say they are d3 embryos. 2 din make it, one growing too slow so left w 2 for transfer.
Just call kkh n see how they arrange. trying again makes us more prepared, more realistic. So dun stress yourself too much and it'll be a smooth process. We are here to support you, mentally & emotionally.
Thanks mesara! I am only seeing Dr Tan in sep and will do a FET on my only frozen embryo. I guess I am just going through the motion as don't want to leave my embbie in the lab. At least give it a chance. Thereafter will be end of my ttc journey.

When I checked in at KK for ET yesterday (Sat), I saw the big note on my folder that says "No ET". The final 6 thawed oocytes didn't make it to ET. Dr Tan HH informed me that egg factor is an issue (Im 37 yo). This was the first time I heard about it after 6 years of IVF - and it was significant as I now know that both DH and I have issues that make it extremely difficult to conceive. All this time, we thought it was only male factor. Greed or irrationale took over and I immediately asked for a note to start on my 3rd fresh, though I have told myself this is the last attempt ever and I have promised my husband who was adamant at stopping. No harm bagging an option first, I figured.
Numbed myself the whole day and tried my best not to flare up at the little one or DH. Didn't dare broach the topic of the 3rd fresh with DH. Kept replaying all perspectives to myself.
(1) I pondered DH's reaction if I were to ask to try again - his main concern is his age and stamina - he is 41yo. My request would erode the trust he placed in me and I really have no grounds to ask him to try again....
(2) I asked how I should handle the fact that I could never give the LO a sibling. How I need to change my life so that I can be happy again, how I can be a good parent to an only child, how I can be a good wife to my DH (relationship has been strained after so many years of differences on IVF)....
(3) At 37yo and with both male & female factor issues, I worry about the quality of the embryoes - especially when we had a 13 week miscarriage and that was explained as chromosomal defects. Is this destiny's way of protecting me and my family - that we should treasure and lead our life as a simple family of three?
(4) I looked back at how empty I have become as a person - a crazy/mad woman chasing IVF, FETs, TCM, religion, putting on weight due to the injections and never finding the motivation to regain my regular healthy weight, losing interest in work or social because I had this dark battle with infertility going on. Although I had my LO through IVF, truth is it has plagued me and my marriage for >10 years by now... After the LO came along, the pressure of providing a sibling is no less.
36 hours after my "No ET on my last FET", I am more inclined towards calling it a day. The emotions are heart-wrenching and tormenting. I once got a lot at Waterloo Street - what is yours is destined to be yours.
This forum has been the single strongest pillar of support through my 6 years of IVF. Sisters who have shed tears of sorrow and joy for each other.. thank you. I am not giving up... I am letting go and trusting in destiny to bring what's best for my family in life.

Firstly, coz I was reali reali hoping to hear good news from u.. Secondly, u hv again written out my thoughts.. esp that part that says, after having a LO from IVF (whom we wld love & treasure dearly), the wish & stress to have a sibling so that he/ she won't b alone, is no less..
Coincidentally, during my recent BFN fresh, Dr Tan made the same comment abt me too.. "U r not too old but definitely not young.. We hv already used the maximum dosage for pergoveris & the number of eggs picked up was 1/2 of that, 4 years back).. Reality struck me then that the issue that we have, could none other than ageing..
I m in 2ww now & somehow this round, I m not pinning much hopes.. Perhaps too defeated previous 2 rounds to b hopeful..
I would say, please give urself some time to heal emotionally.. U hv done a lot already (picking up the courage to embark on this journey despite ur MC, not-so-supportive folks ard u).. U hv been a v v brave warrior.. @ this point in time, u might not b in the best position to decide on wat comes next.. Be very very kind to urself, cry if u can (I know how it feels not being able to cry out).. & when u have settled down, then move on..

I'm essentially gg bonkers in this 2ww. I know I should not look out for symptoms but really can't help it... This is my 4th cycle, really looking forward to a positive... Compared to my past cycles, ( I have a BFP cycle with really bad backache during implantation period), I have no symptoms this round! My tummy feels so empty, like my embies are no longer there...
For sisters here who are blessed with a little one, I really envy you. To me, just having a child will be a miracle to me. Yet, it seems like it will only happen in my dreams....

Hi girl... I feel for u as I read your post because I am in a similar situation with one child but yearning for #2. Fully emphathise and sympathise with u. Perhaps you should take a break for a short while as the pressures of ttc can really get to you as u mentioned above. U still have a chance to try a round of fresh after u had a break and cleared your head. Who knows maybe you may conceive naturally when u least expect it. Have a good cry, do things that bring u joy, and come back stronger. Ivf is as much a psychological challenge as it is a physical one. Don't give up!Hi sisters

I checked the number of follicles last Wednesday and I only have 5. It's so demoralizing.
Dr said it's fine. But isn't 5 very low? I started stimulating last Wednesday too.
Tomorrow will be checking how they respond to the puregon.

I book under pvte patient because if u go with referral u cannot choose doctor. Not that it's a bad thing but at the time I didn't wanna bother with going to a Polyclinic and with referral it's a longer wait for appts in general.
I only did one fresh... I had to cash pay abt a few hundred dollars after grant and medisave deductions. That's cuz I used my medisave for iui as well. If u are a first timer then u may not have to pay cash for first fresh cycle

ok I din use puregon so not quite sure how it works. was using 3 different jabs right after period. I heard Dr will increase dosage or change course if 1 way doesn't work. Speak to your Dr abt it.
