Thanks everyone. I thought I have already prepped myself for bfn n won't cry.But when the nurse called me to confirm, it still hit me really bad. Was in front of a client when I got the call and I couldn't take it and broke down in front of the client.

Basically spent the afternoon crying.didn't know I still feel so devastated

We have all come so far and the courage to take the 1st step of jabbing ourselves already is a milestone.

Sisters, some interesting findings to share. Today i transferred 2 embryos, one 2 cells n one 8 cells. I nv had a 2 cells embryo b4 during ET so i was quite upset as i have the impression that its not as good. So i googled n find many success stories with D2 transfer of 2 cells embryo n all happened to be baby girls. Apparently i read that embryos that multiply slower are sign that its a girl... doubt its a proven theory but just find that its too much of a coincidence.

Hi everyone..very long nv pop in here and saw some ladies thinking of choosing dr roland. Just to share, I think ivf dpds much on luck and timing. Dr roland is very nice and comforting but also very safe and bit exp. He has a gd team of nurses and staff who can advise you anytime. N waiting time is minimal except Sat.
But like I say, luck is very impt. I did 2 fresh and a fet with roland but all failed..becos of $, I went to kkh yet strike with 1 fresh. Of cos kkh service is not as gd and really minimal control over the cycle. Just wan to share that doesnt mean going to pte is better but definitely better service. If $ is not a big concern, can try roland. Despite not cycling under roland, he still takes me back after I bfp and im still seeing him. All the best to all!

Hi babe. What u mean by him being safe? He not keen to explore new things?

Hi,

Just wanted to pop by this forum to share a few things, as I saw some ppl asking:

(1) LC foong is great, best doctor I've ever seen. V patient, fantastic bedside manners and professional. I succeeded under him with my #1 in 2013, I was 39 at that time. It was my second fresh cycle, I had 4 blastos and my boy was from a frozen transfer (after a failed fresh transfer)

(2) I had a third unsuccessful fresh cycle in July this year and decided to switch clinics to sincere ivf under prof ng (who also runs the o&g clinic with LC foong at gleneagles). I was on pergoveris and menopur, managed to get 4 good grade blastos also. Couldn't do fresh transfer as I had an lh surge and so progesterone level was too high. Did medicated FET next cycle and succeeded - currently 10wks pregnant. At the ripe old age of 41! I switched back to LC foong immediately after I got my bfp.

Just wanted to encourage you ladies to jia you, the ivf journey can be long and hard I know.

I'm not. The transfer has been postponed and converted to a natural fet cos progesterone level is too high which is not favorable for implantation.

How are you now? In tww?
How about your lil embryos? Did the embryologist advise you?

I'm in my tww now, doing fine just that tummy still bloated and ovaries hurt a bit. It is getting better and better though. :)

Hello there, did u strike under prof ng 's hands? Was it skipping fresh n go to fet? I was with him on my 1st fresh but it sadly didnt succeed with no frosties survived too..

Hi babe. What u mean by him being safe? He not keen to explore new things?
I think every dr has their own way of doing things and his own belief. He will do his best to achieve bfp but sometimes the best method may not work for all. E.g. he prefers to do fet and not directly et after er even if everything is fine. Suggest u schedule appt to tok to few shortlisted drs to see who u r more comfy with. :)

Yup, succeeded under prof Ng. The medication protocol was new for me, and he also did an endo scratch before transfer. Ya I skipped fresh transfer, but did fet the very next cycle, so delay about 2 weeks plus only

Sorry hit send too early before finished message.

Sorry to hear about your failed fresh...some are lucky to strike on first attempt, others take a few tries. Jia you!

This is supposed to increase success rate right?

Do you rest 2 weeks after fet? Need to bed rest? What food did u eat from the postponed transfer to fet?

The embryos are put to freeze till next cycle. Not too hopeful though

Hi I go to Mdm Valencia Tan too. She helped me during my first fresh cycle which resulted in my toddler son. She's helps to calm my nerves and reminds me to be always positive which helps a lot. I do enjoy chatting to her as well as she's very motherly and really cares for her clients.
may i ask what is the religion of this mdm valencia tan?

laine laine, why wouldnt u stick wif kk since u bfp at kk before? going back to a much more expensive dr whom u failed ivf the last time?

Procedure is not pleasant and hurts a bit, but not much. It feels like a Pap smear. Takes about 10-15mins? Prof Ng did it in his clinic room.

Yes supposed to help increase success rates, he recommended it for me cos I have a history of polyps.

Do you rest 2 weeks after fet? Need to bed rest? What food did u eat from the postponed transfer to fet?

Not natural FET, it's a medicated FET. I take progynova starting from day 3 until lining is suitably thick, then added progesterone to mature lining.

I didn't rest at all, since I already have a 1.5 year old toddler and had to look after him. The nurses were horrified that I carried my 12kg boy around, but no choice.

My period came only 5 days after my ER, so I didn't eat anything special in between. Once my period came, I drank chicken essence, red dates longan tea, ate Brazil nuts, conceive well gold. And went for accupuncture at raffkes.

My experience was that it's like a pap smear, does not hurt. Around 10 mins in Dr's clinic. Spotting from the next day onwards for a few days.

Thanks for sharing. At least your embryos are of good grade. Mine are just average with 2 and the other one under observation. Actually quite worried if the embryos will survive after thawing.

Did your doc share why our progesterone level is high? So your doc advised u to do a fet instead of fresh transfer?

dun mind me posting up in this thread.. I need some advises frm all the sisters here as i know some of u may have gone thru IUI b4 IVF..

Im sad, dishearted, speechless...

Went for my scanning yesterday and found out that my follicle didn't grow at all..
which means I didn't Ovulate at all.. :(

doc prescribed me tables to be taken CD2 to CD6 and will be back for review.. and will embark on IUI journey..

sisters out there.. please advise me what should I do / should not do during this period.

Upon hearing I was so sad that I nearly cry after my visit to the gynae.. I controlled back my tears..
I blamed myself for not going for fertility checks early.. I blamed myself for the cause of infertility..

totally no mood to do anything.. I am wondering if I am able to request for hosp leave after doin my IUI cos I do not wan to come to work during my 2ww as my job is getting more n more tedious and tiring as deadline for each n everything is so close... any sisters taken b4?

I did twice... the 1st time i did i got a bfp that cycle. The process itself is less than 1 min n its slightly more painful than a pap smear. Dr Tan always talked to me to distract me so it's really manageable. No harm trying it since its suppose to help with implantation.
