Yes d&c can cause scaring and adhesion. So, every d&c, dr loh will send me off to do HSG to make sure these didn't happen. If it does, he
will fix it before next ivf.
Dr loh is now in pte practice. He does non ivf op on wkends. I suspect he may wan to cut down on unnecessary op. He useed to run night clinic 2x a wk. Now only once, to spend more time w his family.

My first mc was a d&c (had to be since 13weeks). 2nd was a natural expel as recommended by doc. No medicine. I was likely 5-6 weeks. Actually it wasn't as bad as I thought. I know it's quite fearful thinking of the expelling ordeal. But mine was Ok. ..I just anticipated it to come and it did finally when I felt something letting out as I was reaching home on a Xmas night. That night had a good cry and it was pretty much over for me the next day. Partly i didn't feel connected as there was never a heartbeat. Empty sac. Whichever decision you have made, gotta remind yourself we women are stronger than we thought. We have to face it if we have to...take time to heal and then start again. Get the body and mind even more geared up stronger for the next chapter.

This is what i meant when i say " different strokes for different folks"!
Some of us thrive under the wealth of information available to us. Others may just to do the minimum necessary and be equally happy.
I happen to be the first type. Give me a ton of research or info and i am happy to digest and derive at an outcome/ judgement/ decision. Deprive me from any information or opportunity to learn, i will get all stressed up and perhaps, breakdown and die!
So it all depends on how you manage yrself to balance yr own life.

We remain cautiously positive at this point. Taking things step by step, living from review to review and praying daily for blessing and guidance from God in our decisions in our daily life.
I can't do anything more except taking 2 months break from my stressful work till i get past the first trimester.

However, if it is necessary "disturbance" to monitor the progress within a short period of time in order to better manage the pregnancy without affecting the embryo much, i think it should be fine.
In any case, we also need to trust the professional judgement of the dr we pick.
Me too, have to wake up at least twice to pee and disturb my sleep. Any always need to remember to turn side way before get up. Not having quality sleep lately. Shd I reduce water intake at night?

Sorry to say this, how can pregnancy be better managed at early stage fr Frequent scan. Scan is to tell u abt the state of well being of the foetus. If is no gd, wat can dr loh do? deliver the foetus? If u know it, u will b leaving in fear n anxiety to ur Next scan review. Stressing u out n affect ur foetus
A gf, dr loh's patient. 2nd pregnancy, during 2nd tri suddenly got a growth competing w foetus in womb. Abt 18~20 wks pregnant then. At tt stage dr loh can't even do miracle. Just leave it n see how. She lost her daughter eventually.
There r so many egs in this forum. Sisters who do their best to get gd embyro. Then eat alot of stuff hoping for a healthy 9 months. But still?

May I know how long does it take for your body to fully bleed out? And for how long after do you start your next cycle... ?

Hazelnut, depends on individual's body for both qns. Nobody can tell u for sure.
TO start again, is after menses revert to as per before pregnant days. Some ladies, after d&c, next mth menses comes back. For some, it does not and need medication to reset the body.
And for a Minority, reset also useless. Thats what happen to my 2nd Miscarriage. Medicine to reset hormones dun work. I bled non stop for wks n had a 5cm ovary cyst suddenly! Dr loh told me to wait n see, no more hormones medication.
Depression fr the loss and stress of limited time i have left to try again were the main causes. Everything went away as suddenly as they came only when i went europe for holidays.
ALl these hormone medicine and support we r taking are actually not good for our body and add toil to it. I waited 6months between each attempt though i was in late 30s then. Every attempt, a no of us put on weight coz of all these hormones. Some more prone, develop cysts after ivf failure.
Though dr loh kept chasing me to try again soon after a failed attempt, i didn't listen. Coz end of the day, my body and mind need to recover n that take time. I dun wan to rush into it and harm my body. I need to stay healthy to take care of my child since i started the journey late.

Well, in my case, i bled from day 1 of bfp till more than a week later. HCG was low to start and rises were not up to dr's expectation at times though it still meets the min of 60% increase.
"Better manage the pregnancy" in my case would be checking on the development of the embryo on a regular basis after getting the required support. If there is irregular/ no development, then dr can intervene early by stopping the support or to do the necessary.
I like to point out again it is a case of different strokes for different folks. Ignorance is definitely NOT bliss for me. It is stressful for me to be ignorant or to grope in the dark. I thrive under information to make the best informed decision for myself. I am perfectly at peace with what i have done so far. No stress but filled with hope for next review but yet prepared to expect the unexpected.
If situation is not going well, i prefer to know at earliest so that i can prepare myself if nothing can be done. I will turn to God then and pray for his intervention. If He wills it, there will be a miracle. If not, i have to trust that He has a better plan for me.
I respect u for yr wealth of information, advices and opinions that u have shared with many of the sisters here including me. Your sharings has contributed to some of my decision making. I thank you for yr sharing, yr well wishes and for not wanting to 'dwell further' in this.
I hope u will understand that everyone functions differently and has different ways in handling the matter given the same information/ situation and that you will respect others in how they choose to respond to the matter. What applies to one may not apply to another. One man's poison is another man's meat.

When doc scanned me, he said 50 50 chance as the sac looked odd shape. Might pass out naturally if not viable. i think about a week plus after the scan i started to bleed. Went o&g to scan. Then maybe 3-4 days later I passed the sac out. It was about 2 weeks after the scan that happened. The process was quick and strange to say, easy for me. I went toilet to check that the sac was out and i was lightly bleeding for days where thereafter it was time to see my gynae. He said good that all's cleared.
I believe my next af came 5-6 weeks later.

Thanks dear for your info. I know it differs from person to person but I just like to find out abt what are the experiences. Are you preparing for your next cycle? I guess cos I just stopped my progesterone and inserts it'll also take a while before I bleed naturally.
Hi my scheduled blood test is next Monday but izit ok if I go down tml to test? Wil kkh chase me away n ask me come back on mon?
Also I noted tat some of you did more than 1 blood test over a period of x..does it mean anytime we go down kkh n press 3 they wil do for us regardless if its scheduled?

The popular one is Tan Siew Bouy where many sisters here who believe in TCM go to. She gives herbs to brew. There are a couple more like Dr Que at marine parade. Dr Zou in AMK does acupuncture and gives powder med.

Morning tinga, we are cycle buddies together with Hope.. Mine was a D2 transfer. I remember a similar nick of yours frm 2012 .. Not sure if that's you. Let's be positive and I'm sure everyone here will have good news. My blood test is on 20th, seems so far away.
I'm not sure if the support after et is enough. I'm on the inserts only. How abt u?
As for diet, I will take fish and chicken alternate days, basically very similar to your menu and maybe have mangoes n durians too.

Is today 10 or 11 day past yr ET? Any reason why u want to go for BT at this point? I m sure nurse may ask you casually given that it is still early. If u did a hpt at home and it shows as positive, do go and hv it done then. However, if hcg is low at this point, u will need to repeat bt again a few days later till it reaches a certain level acceptable by yr dr.
I did not do all my tests at kkh. Only did 2 there. Once at A&E and another time at kkivf. I did the rest at TMC as the cost is slightly cheaper at $35 and the results are out faster within 1.5 hours.
I go to dr loh for 2nd opinion and other alternative treatment to increase chances for implantation as kk do not prescribe that treatment. Went to him for urgent support as i was bleeding as soon as i bfp. He is very experienced, accepts walk in and gives priority in attending to me when i bled.
I was at kk A&E and had to wait long hours and sufferef the misery of having a dr with poor bedside manners attending to me. (Imagine having a qualified dr asking the nurse in my presence if drawing 0.5ml of blood from me is enuf for bt as she can't get any more from my fine veins! And so far, no nurses or drs had that problem with drawing blood from me in the last 37 years! Talk abt blaming the patient when she had poor skills!)
I see going to dr loh as getting better quality support in a shorter wsit time compared to going to KK A&E.

hi it's 13day past my ET today...im hopin to test tml so tat i can enjoy the weekend rather than keeping the suspense! i havnt had any symptoms at all after my ET
Ok dr tan said let it naturally come out. No medication given at all. He said he will see n scan me in 6 weeks. My hcg drop v low liao. Think my sunday bleed is the miscarriage. He said I might just spot thru this 6 weeks or light flow. I have a frozen embbie at nuh n asked him can I transfer to kkh for fet. He said they r overwhelmed with frozen embbies n told me to do fet at nuh before next fresh. Everything is tentative. So hope and pray and rest and tiao. Thats all for now. Many sisters can say many things but for me I think if I had bedrest more might have saved this pregnancy. Anyway gods will. Hope and pray he took one but he will give me better ones.

Hi ginger, yeah.. It is good to have buddy together
ur bt is on 20th, that is so far. I will go for a blood test on this Friday to ensure my progesterone level is good. And if everything is ok, next Friday will go for the pregnancy test. Pray hard..I'm having crinone insert two times a day, 1 duphaston tablet 2 times a day, 2 utrogestan 2 times a day and 3 progynoya tablet daily. Not sure why doc subscribe so many for me. Got so many medicines to take ...
Are u on HL now? I feel my my back is pain, think I'm bed rest too much. Haha..

U can try a good hpt at home first and cfm with a blood test after that. Of cos, you hv to prepared that the results may go either way.
No symptons doesn't mean no bfp. I had no symptons as well until i started spotting on 10dp3dt. I took hpt and that's when i found that its a bfp and quickly follow up with blood test and support.
Do what you think will set yr mind at ease and help u manage your emotions and situation better. In the world of medicine, the mental and emotional well being of a person is as important as the physical well being.

I know you are in pain now and i prob cannot understand the pain and struggles u are going through. But i do know that u r a strong lady and will overcome all these soon.

After ET, i also had only utrogeston inserts from kk after ET. I requested for a progesteron blood test during the 2ww too.
If u are asking what other added or alternative treatment did i get, it is just the endo scratch by dr s at kk before i start my stimulation.
I also had intralipid treatment done at dr loh at tmc during stim and after bfp.
Both endo scratch and intralipid are to help with 'implantation issues' i supposedly hv from the diagnosis of my first fresh cycle. The former helps to 'switch on' the cells for implantation and is done by lightly scratching the surface of thd uterine wall. The latter is to help by suppressing our immune system or natural killer cells from attackjng and rejecting the embbies. Both methods just up the chances for implantation. They dun guarantee success.
I had additional support in the form of weekly proluton jabs, daily duphaston tabs, progynova tabs and utrogeston inserts from dr loh at tmc when i started bleeding. I also had weekly review to check on my status and my embbie with dr loh.
Please note that i am a special case with prob higher risk due to bleed and hence had more med to support the bfp.
U can always check with yr doc on the type of support they will give u.

2012 i bfp with my first fresh cycle n have a 15 mth old baby boy now. Since i only have 1 frozen embie, dr ask me to do a 2nd fresh.
My first trimester was bad, i was spotting every now and then and was on complete bed rest. I remember havinv progesterone jabs weekly. I hope this 2ww would be smooth sailing.
Ginger, I'm with woman health and fertility center for paragon. The reason I go there is because I can't tolerate the long waiting time I KKH and decided to switch to private clinic. I now 乖乖fOllow the instruction to take the medicine, dun care so much whether it is over dose or not , I just wan a health baby. Are u going back to KKH in the middle of tww or wait until 20th for the blood test?
How interesting n ironic. Sunday hcg was 13000 Tuesday 2000 and today 1000. The same me who desperately wanted to see the numbers up now want the number to zero. All happened within days.

i took 5 weeks of HL to really rest. and get away from work
mini confinement only begins when everything is cleared, when u want to tiao back ur womb

You know yourself best so opt for what's comfortable for you to get by, Mesara.
If you're back to work quick, do bring along LRD and home cooked food with lotsa ginger. Of course not forgetting the herbal soup when you're home.
i also passed out my sac naturally but wasn't bleeding heavy. Just like normal af. I'm not sure of others experiences but for myself, I could feel and also saw the sac expelled. i was sure that was the sac and next day I started my confinement.

Oh this happened to me 2 Xmases ago. From then till now no luck with bfp again so I've embarked on ivf. Going to start my 2nd fresh next month. You rest well and start strong again.
