I have been silent for awhile as was down with bad bad flu. Yesterday NUH called me. Hubby also has Thalassemia. Its a rare occurrence for both to have the trait. So I have to go for further test. Just felt like the world crushing on me when I heard the news. Hopefully am cleared for IVF. Read that if both partners have, we can only do IVF and that too with PGD, preimplantation genetic diagnosis, and transfer an embryo not affected by thalassemia.

GOD is just putting us thru so much. Stress after stress. Bad news after bad news. Its just getting tougher and challenging. Just wish to say those who have embarked in IVF are really lucky. GOD has given you the opprtunity. For me, the entrance to IVF is already a BIG BIG challenge.

Me and hubby are healthy and very normal. If not for this blood test we would not have known a thing man, Any of you have this issue?? Pls advise. Thanks

I'm negative for thalassemia but hubby is positive. my little girl is also positive but she's only a carrier no life threatening issue.

Thanks Audrey, Me and hubby are also carriers. So further tests will reveal our next course of action. Tough...but fighting to stay positive..

Wah!!! I salute you for being so strong... Dr Sadhana gave me HL all the way till BT day. I didn't ask for it but grateful that she did so... maybe she knows that my workplace is stressful and i need the long break. Hahaha

Me monitoring right now. Not much Liao I think but still got very light brown discharge.
Taken dydrogesterone just now and insert the balance of medicine.

If tomorro still see red then call them up. Now just lie on bed to rest.

Given long HL too but can't afford to rest so long! So rested 9 days. Need to go back work to settle things. Hai.

Me under Kkh too! Under Dr Tan. My 16 aug is 3.25pm appt but need to go 1 hr before appt to 1st level to scan then review by him. U?

Hi sunstillshines

I am oso in my 2ww I didn't tweak my food choices or intake. I am only taking folic acid and multi vits.
Thou my mil whom is more traditional has been going heavy on the birds nest.

BT on 16 Aug

u can take ensure, 3 brazil nut (heaty), durain (dun eat too much, heaty),etc all are good for implant.. but note the amt to avoid too heaty.

1. my last fresh I never take any special food. normal home cook meals
2. I continue with my chicken essence, conceive well, coq10, cordyceps pills

SSS - I take 2pc of brazil nuts n drink bao Sheng with Wolf berry drink daily.
Follow by chicken soup twice a week. For supplement only folic acid

The uterus has a normal endometrial lining thickness of 11 mm, consisting of numerous blood vessels. However, a thickness range of between 8 and 12 mm is ideal for the terminal support of pregnancy. Womb cancer is an example of a disease that may lead to decreased thickness of the uterus lining.
 
Hi , I m in 2ww.. Today shd b 6dpt5t.. But realized it seems more diff to do e med inserts... As though e opening is smaller n drier... Is that a norm? Have abt sis faced such issue before? Wat can i do?

I am not too sure about this but don't worry and enjoy you 2WW. It may be a good sign, u never know.

Dream Irene. I will be doing ET tomorrow.

Do you insert once a day or twice a day? I have started my insert since thursday. Already saw some white discharge coming out.

Did you "home bound" yourself for the first 5 days after ET?
