Ganie - yeah... I was surprised tt it grew fr 13 to 20mm just 2 days.

Blizzbless - dun think too much.. let ur mind have a rest. I know it's easier said than done but.endure. Just few more days to ur bt. Jy!!
 
Chris: it acts like glue which is added after ur eggs are retrieved. It helps in implantation and studies show that embryo develops better and faster. It is also said that it helps increase birth weights too. Its a rather new thing but my doctor says so far results very good with embryogen.
 
Babydream: you can rest easy now. Pleasant surprise rite.. all will go well.

Ganie - yes. Indeed a pleasant surprise. =D Dr Zou n Dr Loh gave good reviews too. But still muz BFP tts the most impt. Btw, what is embryogen u all were talking abt?
 
Hi Ganie,

He suggest to do another ultrasound scan for next cycle. If needed, will do another round of HSG. Really hope the swelling will disappear n never come back : (
 
Twinstar, I know exactly how u feel coz that's how all of us feel right here. Just like u, I've been thru several rounds of ivf, n even decided to cm back to sg as we thought sg has better alternatives for tcm. Yet it din materialised. Hugz.
I so agree with wat blizzbless has said, everything happened for a gd reason. God has everything planned. We hv placed our order just that parcel has yet to arrive.
I'm into my 3rd fresh n now 2ww. Bt this coming mon n I dun hv much symptoms. ..so much so that I try to leave my mind at ease, every movement just send our nerve wrecking. I'm resigning to fate. Dying for bt after the trf but when date is nearing, is just so diff to face reality.
All we can hope for is god's blessings.
 
Tsf: it's better to wait out and your doc's suggestion is wise.

Ganie16: I read the article on embryogen and it's study is significant for patient with at least 1 m/c before. On the general population, its benefit is not significant enough. Also it's only meant to support D3 culture-hence D3 trsf and not for blastocyst culturing (it seems there is another type for blastocyst). It's a "glue" as it helps with embryo-uterine communication for implantation. The cost of this culture would be 4-5x more ex than typical culture medium.

Whatever it is, it works for you... Congrats!

I seen ladies, hpt bfn but BT bfp, and hpt bfp but BT bfn de... thus dun be bother by the hpt result too much... juz wait for the BT
 
tsf0205 : I had it before. It is a blocked tube. I did a surgery to unblock one of my tube last year but according to doctor (by the way my gyane is Dr Loh) said usually this type lost its normal function as a tube.

I'm trying ivf first time. ER yesterday and ET is tomorrow.
 
Blizzbless: Stop testing hpt!!! Grrrr Dont stress yrself and affect yr emrbyos. You have not seen red yet right so you must just relax and enjoy your HL. Dont stop medicine also. Your hpt could just be not sensitive enough to detect. Stay away fm hpt. shooo

ganie16: Congratulations on yr bfp. 600 is good. Rest well. And take all supports till your scan. wheee

Twinstars: I think its normal to feel envy and jelous. We are human after all. I got married for two years, my sis in law who got married in dec, i think she has conceive but has yet to tell us. Im ready for her news and how to react. But seriously, even i feel envy, im happy for her. A new life will be born. Its so great!

Hi ladies, thanks for giving me the direction to go KKH yesterday. I was there to collect medicine for my mother at the urogynaecology dept.

I was taken a short tour to KKH. It was my first visit to KKH. The big directory said that Urogynae dept is on the 6th floor. I went up and saw that the glass door was locked. So, I pressed the door bell but no one came. I was puzzled if I got to the correct dept - but it was stated as "Urogynacology" at the door... Then I asked a doc and he directed me to 3rd floor. When I asked the nurse at 3rd floor, she said I am at the delivery ward!! Then I was taken to 1st floor. At 1st floor, I was then guided to B1. The urogynaecology dept is inside the IVF dept!

U did surgery to unblock it and it lost its function? What surgery u did and how long after the surgery u tried for IVF?
 
Chris: Yeah, I have a history of m/c. Its extra $600 for use of embryogen so since its not much and if it has better chances, decided to go for it. Hehe..

you can try the parsley tea method to induce AF, supposing to help around the days of your AF, i tried that day at about noon, and about 4pm i got AF already..you can try get dried parsley leaves(in the herb/spice section of cold storage or NTUC) or any fresh parsely leaves (cold storage most likely to get or NTUC finest.., chop up parsley leaves (if using fresh) then pour hot water over (not boiling but not too cold either) and let it seep, drink about 2-3 cups..drink like normal water ..hope this helps you

Hi ladies, Ivf is really a long n difficult journey for us. Althought today is only my 13dpt but I really know that I fail again. I'm stopping all the med n also this journey. Won't b doin another cycle even thou I have 2more frozen.
Will b enjoying my life with my hb n our only son.. All ladies here, jy jy.. All the best..
 
Blizz, Im sorry to jump in like this.. This battle has not ended and y are u giving up halfway.
Ultimately disappointing..DO u ever think that what happen if u are really bfp but bcos of your inpersistence and cause the embryo to lose the chance to live!
Is only 13dpt and u are giving up.. When im bfp and doctor say likely is a chemical pregnancy but i still faithfully do my inserts and continue my supports although the chances are like 10% but i continue to FIGHT!! And you here, the chances is 50% 50% and u are giving up. Y start a battle when u are so good in predicting your ending.
Im not sorry about being rude but sorry for your embryo.
 
tsf0205: I had fibroid n one blocked tube. I did laparoscopy ( not sure if its spelt like this). What i mean usually blocked tube issue is that it Alredy lost its 100% function. But my gynae said there are also pple who conceive naturally after unblocking their tubes

Blizzbless- u still have remaining embryos right? U have given birth to ur child, ur chances of bfp is higher than us. Give them a chance to survive.Like what lilcookiedough said, only 4 days to BT. Just rest ur mind.
 
Hi ladies, really bz at work ytdy cos colleagues on leave as is the school holidays nw. Very bad haze and I can even smell the burnt smell in the office!! Really worried that I fall sick since I'm gg ET next week. Ladies pls do take care and drink lots of water! God please shield us from the haze and keep us healthy!

Blizz, do not just give up like that and anyway is just a few days more to ur BT. U nv kn the final result, miracle do happen! Since u hv gone throu so much y are u giving up nw? U must cont fighting!!! Jia you!

Tsf0205, I hv hydrosalnix for both my tubes which i rather serious. Most opinion is to remove which mesns that is no way i can conceive naturally n i was devasted. I told doc im not prepared and doc agreed to do his best to unblock it. I dont kn what is the cause? Did ur doc say anything? Doc did advise my risk to hv ectopic is high. Anyway I trust in God that my body is healed now and I won't hv an ectopic preg. Amen!
 
Blizzbless: I know its tough, but better be safe then sorry. Even embryo has the slightest chance to survive, we still have to hang on to that chance mah. Dun 赌气 on this. Just complete the support til BT and if really negative then u can decide if u still want to go for another transfer then.
 
hey gals, i need some advice.

i just had my first ivf done last mth. but the cycle was cancelled after the ER due to OHSS. i was given meds to induce my period then on D2 on my period to start BCP (Mercilon) so that i will have my next period in 28 days and then i can plan for the transfer.

my period came and i started my Mercilon. however i started bleeding again few days after my period ended while on the bcp.
i told my dr and he said it cld be sue to my vomitting episode which causes my body to not absorbed the pill. he wasnt too concerned then. also given me progynova to start for my next period.

and few days later i have another severe diarrhoea and then the bleed becomes fresh blood again for a few days. i am concerned if the bleed will affect the next cycle so i called the clinic to ask

to my dismay, the dr actually told me to stop the bcp and wait for another week for another bleed then start on another brand of BCP (diane35) then wait for another cycle to proceed for transfer.... which means i have to delay my transfer again!

im not so sure abt that. and i suspect the bleed cld be due to the diarrhoea in betw which was not absorbed. how??? im so tired to the delays and wait alr! ;(
 
Hazelsarah: I am not sure about the BCP part but its common to spot/bleed again in between cycle after the AF due to the stimulation the month prior.. Usually it takes at least 2 cycles or more to stabilise. I guess your doc is best person after you feedback him and probably, just follow.
 
Lilcookiedough - hahahaha.... dun laugh at me la.. nv this sore b4... I think during my 2ww, I will keep praying for lotsa soring of boobs, lotsa cramps, lotsa vomiting. LOL... self torturing.. I just vomited. Becos I couldnt stand the conceive well pills ...
 
lilcookie - I dun have sore boobs during my 2ww! but ohss hit me hard during the 2ww, the cramps were so bad that I thought my cycle has failed! went to clinic for jab twice but only good for 1 day then back again. the only symptom that I have before my BT was I merlion everything that I eat. my morning sickness hit me & I was extremely bloated

I had done an US in KKH last nov and the results were all fine. Doctor says this could be caused by infection from previous surgery or endometrosis. I do not have any surgery performed so maybe endo... I have read up on hydro and some said acupuncture can cure it, some say this condition can disappear overnight... Otherwise, it's laparoscopy if not tubes removal. U unblocked yr tubes?

Blizz: hope this is just your hormones talking. Just hang in there. Do your inserts. Put in your best for the last leg. At least you did what you could. And you won't be wondering what if I had done the remaining inserts - would the outcome be diff. Hang in there! Don't throw in the towel.
 
babydream - not in 2ww now. graduated on my first fresh cycle in Oct'10. my little precious is turning 2 this sun. attempting medicated FET next mth

magical- symptoms doesnt come so fast de. wait for few days n see how ba. some pple dun even have any symptoms but they bfp. =D enjoy ur 2ww. mine on mon for et. will be joining u ladies in 2ww. Hahaha...
 
Ladies: for the 2 weeks insertion does it melt instantly when inserted? Seem like once i insert some sticky particles came out (abit gross).
