HI ladies,
Can I ask a question?
I just stopped Microgynon and menses was supposed to arrive 2/3 days after that. It did came but very very light. It's more like spotting. I am supposed to start my gonal f tomorrow but am worried abt the light menses thingy. Any sisters experience this before starting the stimulation phase?

when i striked with #1 , i did my BT at Day14, only 209..but i knew its around that range for Day 12-14.. so i didnt worry..redo my BT at D17, 900++
dont worry lar, it will double everyday,.. this range is not low, but just indicates a singleton..so dont think its low at Day 13 k .. please dont pray to feel anything because u shldnt feel anything at all at this stage..no gd to have bad cramp, so dont pray to feel anything k.. i didnt feel preg at all, it was so normal , no bloating nothing at all until wk 5 MS strike terribly.. i think now u shld get ready for MS in case you kena. other than that, dont think about any bad things ok.

2dt means 2 day embryo
So "4dp2dt" means 4 days after a transfer of day 2 embryos.
In your case, you should be 6dp3dt or 6dp2dt.....
How you feeling so far? Any symptoms? Our bloodtest is on the same day 28th!

"FSH, LH and Estradiol blood levels
Measurements of these hormones needs to be carried out at a particular time during the woman's menstrual cycle (usually between day 2-4 of menstruation) for the results to be valid. High FSH level combined with low Estradiol level indicates primary ovarian failure while low FSH levels and low Estradiol levels may indicate disorders of the pituitary or hypothalamus glands. Normal FSH, normal Estradiol level and high LH may indicate PCOS."
Best is to ask your doctor when you see him/her in your next visit or scan.

Dee, thanks for ur info! Mine is 2 day embryo. The bloatedness lasted for a week,now no more. Having sore breasts and occasion slight cramps, I ask the nurse today regarding the cramps. She said it was normal.. Did u experience any cramps or pulling at lower abdomen?

Ching, can I know more about the protocol prof Ng suggested. On what basis will it give higher chances considering it yields fewer follicles? Just curious because I did ask prof Wong fr Nuh about such natural cycles without stim and he said no point doing it cos it yields too few follicles and chances r low. So considering the amount of time and money invested, his view is that it's not worth trying.

1) who have repeated unsuccessful normal ivf
2) who responded well to stimulation drugs, and have normal ovarian reserve
3) those prone to hyperstimulation (OHSS)
Prof Ng mentioned that this protocol is to concentrate on the quality and not quantity of the follicles.
I still hv doubts in this protocol. Will try to email and ask him more

Yup..i have severe OHSS after ET..My stomach was bloated with water and i need to tap the water from my stomach as it was very bloated and i was vomiting and could urine at all..Was put on albumin for 2days..which cause around 185 per bottle..I think just albumin alone i spent almost 3-4 k..
Anyway,i dont know what i should do from here since my gynae is firm that long protocol is a no no for me since i reacted badly to it though i have gd records of it...

When you calculate the day you take your Bloodtest,did you calculated the day when the embryo was at??
I did a bloodtest after 8days of my ET and it tested negative..MY gynae still insisted that i should go for another bloodtest tomorrow..I know the chance is slim and do not want to give myself false hopes...

i have failed my 1st cycle with SGH. i have my first appointment with Dr Tan yesterday and he has scheduled some tests for me to follow; and then see him again in 6 weeks times.
i am very confuse at this stage; i hope to get the best hand (Dr Loh) to help me to do the 2nd cycle but what if i failed again? or should i try my 2nd cycle with KK if failed i shall move to TMC .... like many voices in my head holding a discussion at the same time....

I have only occasional sharp pain, and occasional pulling at lower abdomen. Breast kinda sore but most obvious is the watery discharge (I'm on HCG jabs, no inserts). Not belatedness leh .. (but tummy big ... I attributed that to fats than bloatedness ... hahaa). You got watery discharge?
Yeap, on the 28th most probably will be there around 8 ..... the BIG DAY. My progesterone test is tomorrow. Any idea what this testing is for other than the uterus lining? Will there be any indication of pregnancy or implantation?

I think 300iu Gonal F should be average dosage ba ..... I have 575iu .... high apparantly because of my low ovarian reserve condition. Are you on stage 2 Gonal F 300iu now?

Just go for the bloodtest. Better be safe than sorry. Disappointment better than regret. Plus bloodtest 8 days after ET is kinda too early to be conclusive.

Is the govt subsidy important impt to you? If yes, stay put in KKH (or its equivalent). If no, following Dr Loh may be a good idea.

If still fail, then move to private (Dr Loh) since no more subsidy, so won't make a difference anymore. But then again, I refused to allow myself to think "that far" because I want to remain positive & hope for a miracle in the current cycle.

In fact on day8,i went for progestrone test but my gynae want to see my hcg level sincei am also going for the test..So i did it on day 8 after Embryo transfer..
You have any idea whether we should add in the number of day the embryo is together or start a new set of calculation..Coz i had a day 5 blastocyst transfer n i tested for my progestrone level on day 8 excluding the day 5 embryo development..
but many sisters here were BFP even in day 12-14 but mine was <2..So chance is so slim...

yes, Dr Tan allows to start IVF short cycle after the test. Short cycle takes shorter time (ie 4 weeks)from injection til ET. but this is really depend upon my uterus is healty or not...
i also told him that i am currently doing TCM; he is encourange me to continue the TCM until further notice from him... so i will continue to visit Dr Zou...

BabyJourney..in fact.long protocol will be better for IVF..Basically,they will use lucrin to make the ovary "Sleep" the main motive is that they want it to be inactive together and when they use the puregon,they want to make it grow together..so that more follicles will grow together to the desired sizes for embryo development..
As for short protocol,which is always recommendable to OHSS patients,there are 2 methods commonly used in singapore.they either use both medications together to trigger the follicles which is not so effective or they will not used lucrin but purely puregon which is known as antagonist method..This method proved to be more effective but normally in short protocol,there will be less follicles achieved since they will grow on their own without more control..
Thus in short protocol the quality is not as gd as that of long protocol..

Dee, y urs is jabs??? Mine is 2 inserts..the only discharge I hve is the white discharge from the inserts..

I'm eager to share today's session. Just my personal experience and opinion: Today there is no feeling of a ball of "something" running across my chest like the other times. However, I experienced a flowing airy feeling from my feet circulating upwards, throughout my body, moving and to my head; felt lighter, lighter and turning, almost floating up (but I still rem my butt is on the bed - haha. She says my womb is weak and she is moving the energy circulation and I need to be very careful for this pregnancy. Hah, I rem tcm says my womb is weak - my body is upper part hot, lower part cold (han). She also tells me messages of my baby and myself. Am very happy like can know future like that. (Rest to be revealed when time is more ripe.)

So we can actually test Hpt earlier for Ivf cycle. For a natural cycle, we can test as early as 8-10 days past ovulation since implantation takes place from day 6-8 onwards. Having said this, doesn't meant once u tested negative on day8, you have failed the cycle. Some may take a few more days for hcg to double in order for Hpt to pick up.
For your case, since it's blasto, and u taken bt day 8 after transfer , technically u are already around day 13 of a natural cycle. And it's bt instead of Hpt , so it's quite accurate. I am quite a straightforward person too, so I do agree with u that the chance is low since blasto implants within 1-3 days.. However , if Urs is very late implantation, there is still a chance. Go for one more bt to just double confirmed.
