Sugary, thanks to Jaded to give me the idea of seeing Dr Loh earlier in case of failed cycle. Haha... just now didn't wake up from my past experience. Initial, the date was given 20+ but I asked for a earlier November. After booking, realise could be too early if BFP. Wonder if earlier by 2 days can see BB's heartbeats if BFP. After thinking, I will leave it as it is since so difficult to book a date to see Dr Loh. If BFP and need to change date, will request the nurse to change to a later date if needed on BT day. Wondering how does it work for ladies who have BFP to book on the date or whether is given by the nurse.
Did you made your appointment with TPS or Clinic D? I did to see him at Clinic D, Did I do it correctly? Does TPS only open at night? Heard must pay more. Wonder how much more? Ever heard a friend conceive naturally was asked to wait at TPS and charge $20 more. Just now when I changed my appt date still have 10.30am slot on 1 Nov. You can try that if you want to see him earlier.
Will you be following Dr Loh to TMC or any idea which DR to see if to stay when you BFP? Thought of seeing Dr Tan Heng Hao since he is a Chinese. At least when I don't know certain term in English, I can explain to him in Mandarin.

I am with dr Marianne. She is my ivf doc. She nt bad. Btw I dnt kw ab the charges in clinic D and TPS, cos I went both places and my doc wrote my appt card "open dates". I ask the nurse wa it means, she say I will be charge free consultation for the next 2 yrs with the same doc.

Ching and mc, my understanding is that as long as you are going for assisted fertility treatment like IVF, it is considered 'Private pricing' even if it is in KK. The subsidy which we are talking about is the ability to make use of Medisave and there is a 3 times grant given by the government.
Not all items are covered under Medisave. E.g. Lurin, consultation (if you see your ivf doc), needles and blood test. You still have to pay cash/credit.
Actually you will hardly see your doc once you start IVF. It will be handled by the experienced nurses in KKIVF clinic. They will instruct you when to come for blood test, follicle scanning, take injection etc. You will see your doc when you are doing embryo retrieval (ER) and embryo transfer (ET). Once you are pregnant, nurses will arrange for your 1st scan and to meet up with your doc.

Ching, just to share my experience. I was with Dr Chris Ng from Camden before I came to KK after 2 failed IUIs which cost me 10K. After I came to KK, I was not used to the 'system' because they will not explain much unless you ask. *They are really busy.
Anyway, I have checked that going to Camden will cost me $15K+ cash/credit for IVF. I didn't know how many times I have to try IVF before getting pregnant so I decided to change to KK. Until now, I have spent within 2K cash. Others are all using hubby's medisave.
Don't worry too much, the nurses there are experienced. They do the same things day in/out.

I was told by KKH Dr Loh, I have mild condition for this. But he didn't mention any treatment. He just ordered a saline imaging for my uterus and the result is normal then he didn't mention anymore.
I am actually diagnose with unexplained infertility from both TCM and Infertility specialist. I wonder if Dr Loh has forgotten about my condition before let me proceed to IVF.

i just called ..no slots on Nov 1 for Clinic D and TPS leh.. i prefer to see him at TPS leh.. last time, i ever waited dr loh for 5hrs at clinic D, and the nurse always miss my name! we hate to wait at clinic D, so packed..so i switch to TPS after 3 visits to Dr loH. i paid $68 for consultation, with scans and meds, always more than $100.. if im nto wrong, he only see patients on Wed and Fri at TPS. Wed got evening slots.

Hi, i just had a failed IVF/ICSI. I am 34, with antral follicle count of 14 (intermediate). During my last IVF, i only had 7 mature eggs. Only 3 eggs were fertilized by ICSI, i.e. fertilization rate ~40%. Reason given: activation failture. According to literature and reputable fertility clinics, the average success rate of ICSI is ~60%. May I know if anyone managed to achieve 60% success rate with ICSI here?
Sugary, ever a friend told me that she joined a program joint by KKH and credit card company 2 years back. So, her payment was by credit card. The medicine will be sent to the clinic without you going to the pharmacy. Wondering this joint program still exist. Another friend from Raffles Hospital pay her consultation bill through OUB credit card and get 10% discount, wonder any discount applies in KKH. Any idea KKH has pregnancy package?

Fatefully: how much does it cost you per visit? How long do you need to wait from 1st consultation to starting the IVF process?
Jane: I am not taking the govt subsidies as I won't be able to choose my Dr if I am a subsidies patient. So, you spent only 2K overall? Including Puregon or Gonal F injection?

Cocoapop, if you are not on HCG jabs for 2ww, its reliable to do BT DPO14 cos inserts wont cause false positive. But if you have HCG jabs then you have to wait till at least DPO17 or later.
Hope (luifei), i m your opposite. She told me i have small uterus which i wonder if how come so many docs i seen, none picked that up as an issue and still allow me to do IVF after IVF. Maybe thats why my cycles failed? But i also succeeded twice so maybe not too concerning? I also dont know, now i am on overdrive to find out more.
Tahope, i am surprised she say nothing can help cos there are estrogen patches available too. Cant she use that to boost lining? You ask dr Tan see whether he can help.

Tahope, how about try durians? And are you on acupuncture? Quick ask dr Zou acupuncture for you today, tomorrow, wed and thu. Hopefully by thu, grow to 8mm then still can ET on fri. Dont stress as it will affect lining, if can take off from work now to relax and build up lining.
Heartbeat, dr zou ask mi eat more red bean & red date plus acupuncture daily except wed(off day). She also says my thin lining could be due to D&C done previously (2 miscarriages).
Yup, I'm also surprised when Dr Veronica said nothing can be done to my thin lining. I google & found estrogen patch, baby aspirin etc etc.

Jane - I am on FET, ET date was on 27th Sept. I think if you call KKH and tell them you have early preg signs the nurse may concede to let you do early BT subject to the date not being too early. But still need to redo BT on actual day due to hospital's protocol.
Heartbeats - I am on progynova and cyclogest inserts twice daily. My DPO14 is on Tuesday then which is also when my regular menses is due so will monitor tomorrow. I think you are a very strong person btw...do persevere and I am sure you will be able to attain your wish soon!

Usually the Dr only do review and other special medication have to check with your Dr in change. Usually after ET, then Dr will given aspirin is needed. Cos aspirin thin your blood, can be dangerous when we r doing ER.
In the mean while, try to take anything that has red bean like red bean bread, bao or even red bean soup. It helps me.
