hi all

i plan to do IVF in april this month but stupid me go to temple ask whether it will succeed or not n i got a bad lot. v depress n confuse now, can anyone advise me to go ahead with the program ???
 


baby, the scan done from the tummy??? mine is from below insert the scan into the uterus leh...i can see the follicles quite clearly...
but its also true tht actual ER usually will have more than wht is seen on scan one.. so dont worry too much.
i have not taken egg whites yet. i was told not to start egg whites first.. so i dun tink the egg whites have any effect on growth of the eggs. today i did 200IU puregon and 75IU menogon. menogon stings and until now, the jab area is still red and sore...
from 2day onwards, i do 4 jabs every morning, puregon, menogon, suprefact and growth
hormone.... my poor tummy all punctured with holes...

did ur doc giv u medication for ur fever today? try to avoid heaty food, eat light and drink lotsa water.. it shld help... i m also watching my diet..so tht i dun fall sick during this period..
 
tickles..hehe..yeah lor, i wanna faint. bt pros and cons.. since i m with CARE, i hv to buy there..not nice if she finds out i go and buy immunocal from AT..paragon is very small..hahaah... most impt is can BFP!!...

my tummy start to bloat quite big liao leh.. just now lunch time go shopping..try clothes..my colleague got a shock, how come my tummy so big all of a sudden.. diao.....

Tickles, yeah lor, its really so many.. until i blur blur oso.. yup, i m trying to stay happy and not tink of ivf so much... Angela says since i m not working, must try to find mini projects to occupy myself so tht i dun feel stress....

wht time u going CARE on Thurs? I hv appoint at 815am to do scan.

its depends on how much u believe in the lot. if u hv strong beliefs, than better dont proceed first. Coz ur emotional well being is very important to embark on ivf. u hv to be very comfortable and ready to start.

Hi Ladies

I am supposed to do my BT on thu but mense came yday, it is full blown today already. Called KKH if i still need to go down for BT and the nurse said is a must just to ensure it is not etopic pregnancy.

Can someone advise me when can i schedule for my next fresh cycle? Also, does Dr Zou's accupuncture just help on the lining or overall it helps to tiao the body as well?

I am push back to AT's clinic liao. Will be doing my BT there le. Dunno why. I think my doc wants to monitor me more closely. and of cos if I go there more $ to earn also I feel. I'm supposed to go in at 9am-10am.. So how big are your eggs so far? Got how many liao?
 
AP, usually will be advise to rest for 2 mths before embarking on the next cycle.

Take a break, hv a good rest, build ur body and mind to prepare the next cycle.
 
thanks for advice, pandawife. i m not working now so we thot it will be a good time to do it this month, somemore the hospital is alrdy fully packed in may and june. so vexed really..

You can start ur next cycle after 2AF cycles. Yes, Doctor Zou accu helps with the lining but you need to take herbs to tio the body

actually i was also wondering how come ur BT at CARE since u r with AT's clinic..hehe... if u go see AT hv to pay consultation fee right?

i have 17-18 follicles, between the size of 8-9mm. this is only after 3 days of jabs leh.. so Angela says reduce the puregon and add menogon. she says i hv pcos, she dun want to overstimulate me.. later end up too many eggs.

Su_yana, i take warm milk everynight before i sleep. no egg whites yet. But i hv been taking immunocal since Jan.. and its a source of protein.. not sure if it has any impact on this.

i failed my first IVF in Jul last year after 2 failed iui. I have my menses bf the BT. It was depressing for me and i cried my whole heart out. Then i was on DHEA for 3 months.. and here i am trying again. Life goes on.. good luck to all the sisters here who are all trying v hard!
 
babytiger, which temple you went? Last time I went 'shi ma lu' and got bad lot too! The lot mention that I will need a lot of god's blessing to get pregnant. But I still went ahead with my 1st so-iui. True enough it was not successful but @ least I tried. Now when I go pray, I just use the 'sheng pei' to get a 'yes' and 'no' answer.

My colleague advise me to go pray 'zu sheng niang niang' @ Cheng Huang Temple at TPY. If you're lucky, you may meet people who comes with offerings. Request for some offering (after finish praying) from the people and you be very blessed! Not sure how true but can try :p
 
babytigers, personally i dun ask for lot when i go temple, i will just pray. smtimes if u dun ask for wht u want correctly, u might not get the correct lot leh. u hv to think about it urself... honestly, nobody can predict the outcome for ivf. its really alot of fate and luck. discuss with ur DH ..if u r both comfortable to proceed, why not since its good timing.

No need to pay consultation as I wont be seeing AT.. Just go for BT and go back le. When BT come back, AT will take a look and thjen nurse will call.

U know why. Cos in CARE's ET package, it includes 3 BT during 2ww, so I think since already paid for it, just go lor. Then go to be monitored too. Then I did the urine pregnancy test at CARE too. Its faster leh. I 'll know immediately cos they do urine 1st. AT dun do urine one..

Wa.. Day 3 already gt 17-18 liao. Alot leh. Moreover its quite big.. Good good. Slow down abit.. Then this round u will have more eggs to harvest and fertilise and freeze..

minakochang, yes its 'shi ma lu'. so sian kena scolded by hubby y wan to ask when we have planned. i also think like u but we only have left 2 chance of govt subsidy for the ARP. now is half hearted lah. Just use the sheng pei to get ans also can, i nvr tried that before. can i ask you got any kids now ?

Before I started my 1st fresh cycle in last Dec, I went to temple also..the lot told me to proceed after Mar'10...but bcos I want to have a tiger baby so I went ahead, and during my 2ww, I worried that the lot might come true...and true enough I didn't make it...

Now, I dare not ask..just go to the temple and pray...

Yes, Dr Zou will give u some med to tiao your body. R u seeing her the 1st time? If yes, please remember to bring along you and your dh's medical reports. Take care.

let me tell u my encounter at a zhu sheng niang niang temple. NOt say I disrespect or dun believe la. Just you girls shall decide after hearing what I say.

I went to a zhu sheng niang niang temple. Then this guy help me pray. Then he told me that a spirit is following me and my DH. The spirit is from my DH's past life and deterring us from getting pregnant cos "it" is jealous seeing us so loving.. he offered to help us do a ritual to get rid of it.

Then... My other fren went to the same temple and the same guy told him the same thing after they pray.. So, I think just take it with a pinch of salt else it might affect your mood..

Just go with your heart and go whatever u feel like doing..

ya i noe. when i did my 1st ivf, i prayed at Joo chiat temple and i got a good 'qian'. i was v happy n hopeful but then it turned out to be neg.. dun noe why.. also that time i dun feel any preggy feeling at all during the longest 2ww, i only hv the menses symtoms.

ohhh.. i din know abt the ET package..hehe.. i will ask ning on thur.. i just paid for the ultrasound package. $300 to cover all the u/s during ivf.

yeah.. i m quite surprised this morning when she said the numbers..then i stunned a while... she took out a chart and i saw her write the numbers and plot the size of the eggs..then my brain registered the information..haha.. i tink my body has too much drugs, brain dont seem to b working to well lately.

i told ning i more concern abt the quality of the eggs.. as compared to quantity.. she told me not to worry since i m on growth hormone therapy...

suddenly everything happening very fast leh! haha.. when u did ur ET, i was still tinking i still hv a long way to wait.. : P

No the scan i did is also v scan... Nvr did tummy scan before.. I thk its only for preggy ladies.. Even frm v scan cant see my left side clearly.. Duno why also...

Dr ask me to take panadol to keep body temp down.. Now i dont dare to drink red dates tea liao.. Let my body cool down abit.. Just took barley water... Yday got fever.. Took panadol and went to slp.. Today no more fever liao but still feels heaty...

How come u got so many drugs to inject? I only inject puregon and lucrin...

I agree with Tickles, just go with your heart and go whatever u feel like doing... if u want assurance, go temple, just pray for it...
u hv to find peace within urself now, to decide if u shld or shld not proceed.
 
Tickles sorry to hear about what happen. My advise is just pray 'zhu sheng niang niang' like how you pray in any other temple. Just buy the standard praying package (joss-sticks, candles, incense papers). If you want to bring offerings, you can get some sweets, fruits and round tip 'shou bun'. Some ppl like to take advantage of us cos they know we want baby so desperately. Dun let them pray for you.. just pray yourself.

babytiger, I failed my 1st so-iui last mth. Now 'tiao' my body first and maybe try 2nd so-iui again when Jun menses arrive.

I was informed by Angela at CARE not to start my egg whites leh. she even told me since i m taking immunocal, i might not even need to take egg whites at later stage. hmmm.. maybe u can double check with ur Doc if u shld continue w the whites?

did u sleep early last night? plenty of water and sleep should make the heatiness go away....

my last cycle, only use lucrin and puregon. stimulated 20 eggs, but only 2 fertilised leh. this cycle, CARE did a growth hormone test on me and found out tht i hv growth hormone deficiency. ideal to get pregnant is 20 i tink...my test result came back only 0.1. thts y i need to jab growth hormone. as for menogon, its becoz last cycle my eggs were very varied in sizez.. some very mature, some very little.. menogon suppose to help grow the smaller ones faster..

Initially we were quite disturb by his words. But after a while, I told my DH, if my fren also gt the same reply means something is wrong. So we didnt want to think abt it..

Erm.. Actually not package la.. When u pay for the ET, its kinda included liao. Got 3 prog BT in total from ET day till 2ww.. But then hor, I was told fresh cycle dun have. Cos I ask Ning how come my fresh cycle dun have.

erm.. I took 10-12 soft boil egg whites daily during the stimulation period. I also took immunocal daily. I drink chix essense once in a while. Ate lotsa of leafy veg and fish. I sometimes will drink chix soup too..

wa so many egg whites in a day!! Stimulation period meaning when u having injections? i v curious wat happen to all the eggyolkssss ?? Sorry wat's immunocal cos i nvr take that before. And do you take all these before the ET ?

No one told me wat to eat during my first IVF, only got to know from the doc not to take chinese herbs after ET.

i was in your shoes before. when i first had so-iui with kkh. it was a negative lot. but i still went ahead. i striked but lost it at 6 weeks.

ever since, i did not ask for any answer from "goddess of mercy".... if i have to wait for her to nod her head, think i will be 40 by then... no lah, just kidding. no offence, you already know what you want. you want a baby, and thats why you are here. dun bother too much by what the lot tells you... yes, i know it gives you double assurance. but look, now the lot tells you otherwise.

only you yourself have the answer.

went for eggs pick up at kk this morning. 13 eggs collected. not bad huh?? since i was on 100iu puregon for first 4 days... for some of you who might have missed my earlier posts, i switched from so-iui to ivf. i m pleased with 13 eggs. i only need 2 good ones.

i m planned for thurs to do ET... getting kan cheong liao. lol

If i go ahead, i hv doubts in my mind. if i wait , dun noe must wait for how long then the hosp got slot for me. really hated myself to go and 'chou qian' and get myself in this confuse state. wat ever decision i make i got to face it.

hi babytigers,

I asked for advices at both temples before and i was told i will have a bb girl previously.

Currently, i am in my 2ww. But i just ask for blessing this time round and did not draw any lot but i asked a master and get an answer that i do not like. Nevertheless, I still proceed as i am available and also it is not easy to get a slot at KKIVF.

i am hoping to get babydusts from all BFP like everyone out here

its okay. i already got over it. for me, i find it more heartache to keep him/her with me then. cos i have to go back kk for the oil-based progesterone jab. and the fear of seeing stains everytime i go toilet.

if i were you, i will go back to temple and "inform" goddess of mercy that you will go ahead with your plan. Ask for her blessings.

If you decide not to, then leave it as that bah.

have a qn to ask all of you. while you were on the injectibles for suppression stage or stimulation stage, did anyone experience acne?

What are some of the common side effects?

Justfaith, wondering how you lost your baby at 6weeks?
Mine was 7 weeks. No heartbeat ndid not bleed till the very day I had my d&c.
