no lah, i succeeded on 2nd IUI attempt, but i had it back to back.. 1st month failed, then continue to 2nd attempt next month.. very fast track..
haha.. i was indeed very lucky then... but now it's taking me the longest time!!
i also have friends like urs.. 1st kid younger than mine, then already given birth to 2nd kid liao.. but what to do, we just have to be patient and queue for our turns..

july y not call back the clinic and ask what it is.... may be may not be infection.

i'm worried that skipping the stage 1 based on one-off double periods in Jan (induced by Provera). havent even seen the new gynae yet. only got 3 day puregon jab instruction then this thurs ultrasound. hopefully the ovaries stimulated.

I went for my scan today.. Saw abt 7 follicles on each size... Dr say not too bad but my dosage will be more this time.. Cant rem wats my no of follicles tat time...
This scan is to scan for follicles that will be stimmulated?? I tot today scan is to see whether the lucrin is enuff for suppresssion... Didnt know its to see the no of follicles...

baby,i tink total of 14 is a good number leh. hmm..all along i thot we will only start growing follicles when we start puregon. interesting, i shall see if my scan on wed can see any follicles.
Hi PM, if u r tinking of changing to pte or govt hospital? Do you know what is the possible reason that the cycle fail?

yes pandawife is correct, scan is to chk good to start stimulation. once u cleared tat, u r good to start.

Me too, I got my miracle boy at my 1st iui in 2006. I was speechless that time. After that tried again about 2.5 years later but not so lucky liao. People also keep asking me the same questions you encounter. at first my hubby and I were indifferent to those questions as we thought one is still ok. But then as my boy grows (now 3.5yo) he started asking for didi or mei mei, then we realise that if we do not at least try, then the poor boy will have no siblings next time. So lonely and he will have no one to turn to once we are old and gone. Thus, at 38 years old, we decided to give it one last dash to try for another child.

The nurse at the hospital told me to alternate egg whites and Ensure milk so it will not be so yucky (imagine eating 6 to 7 egg whites everyday). Ensure milk can be bought from Guardian Pharmacy in packet or powder form. The packet ones are nicer. I like the chocolate flavour...hehehe. It really helps alot. I read that these protein stuff will help the water that flow into the abdominal cavity to get back into the ovaries so we don't get so uncomfortable. Although the nurse say can cook the egg whites in anyway, I prefer to at least hard boil them, in case pregnant, we should not be taking half boil eggs I believe.

when buying pantyliners, choose the unscented ones. Think it was u that dr zou calling u while i was doing acu on the first bed. Was there abt 1120am. Stay positive

Dun need to feel bad buying second hand stuff. Heard babies grow faster and healthier if use hand me downs. If u still with dr cheng, hope to meet u one day at level one ( Hee...only if i get BFP ). For now, u must rest well, eat well and stay cheerful and Have a smooth pregnancy ahead !!!

hi PM, b4 i decided on kkivf i spoke with frens who went thru kkh, nuh, thomson and sgh. The NUH one was a very bad experience and despite spending close to 40k she was demoralised and labelled unable to hv kids, she eventually went to thomson becoz she wanted to take pte (so can implant 3 instead of 2). The sgh one and 2 kkh one worked for my frens too. SGH at 2nd cycle and both kkh first try they got one boy each. For me the main thing is also the cost and the gynae u want AFTER ivf. Becoz i am worried i may have complications i chose to go back to kkh coz of specialists in women matters and cost is lower. It depends on what u r comfy with la. Maybe gynae check up location closer to home etc.

My dr did mention that i dont hv cysts and tats good... He also mention my lining is thin.. I tot its no good... So means thin lining is good to start is it? I usually dont ask much qns.. Dr ask me to do wat.. I just do wat.. Hehe..

Would like to ask those on TCM - do you take the Chinese herbs during the 2ww? I read that some TCM drs do not give medicines and of course western drs do not recommend, but my dr gave me.. now not sure whether or not to take! pls share your experience! tks...

I took Dr Zou's med during my 2ww, However, instead of taking twice daily, I only take once daily. Haha! Cos I find it difficult to time the medications 2 hours apart. I think its alright to take. I dun feel discomfort taking both TCM and western med. But of cos, u must take it with an open heart, dun take already and keep thinking, will it affect will it affect.. If you are those kind who will worry after taking, then best is dun take it..

NO need to worry abt being pregnant, cos the time u are eating the egg whites is by right the stimulation stage.. So cfm at that moment wont be pregnant..

faith - plse plse dun give up ... mayb it is just not to be use at this point of time... i wld like to share with you what my dear hubby say when i failed my 1st ivf - "the baby is not meant to be our, instead of giving us an imperfect baby - God decide to take it away from us to give us more perfect babies ... i took another 7mths before embarking on my 2nd cycle and now currently 18weeks preggy with a pair of twins
as long as the doctor does not mention that you cannot get preggy the chances are always there ... take a break away from all the injections and pamper urself before embarking on another cycle when u r really ready ...

I think for SoIUI, U need to keep gg back for scans every few days till when u are gg to O. Then when they see you're almost ready, they will ask u to do a test on the ovulation test kit. Then the next day at a certain timing, they'll ask u to go back for the Pregnayl jab.

JJ, I did my IUI last mth. Personally, I tink egg must be released b4 the IUI. I went for my scans for 2 days. The 2nd day was on Friday & ovulation test was still -ve. The doc told me to test on a sat morning, if +ve, will need to go to KK for the pregryl jab in the morn, then follow by IUI on the same day. If still -ve, will need to go to the "women 24hrs" thr for the jab @ 8pm to trigger the egg released. Then Mon go for IUI. Mine was the latter 1.
