Ya.. I agree with you. Thats why now I try to eat better, slp early and I still continue with all the multi vits and FA.. Then drink more water and try not to get sick.. Must be in the best condition..

Hi Ladies,
I’m feeling very down now hoping to have 2nd kid, but my co is restricting & there will be axed in my dept by yr end. Wounding should I just try for 2nd kid & don’t worrying about the job. But when I see colleague going for interview I really don’t know what I should do 1st as I’m not young anymore.

Ya.. Supposed to go for the counselling end Nov. Then also must start visiting Dr Tan when my period starts next month so that can tstart taking the jabs. So stage 1 stage be by early Dec.
 
blissful, when are you starting IVF?

i guess you'll have to decide which is more important to you. You may get another job but with kids, the clock is ticking..

actually wanted to do FET this mth but my menses went haywire, will be doing next mth. hopefully my menses will not go haywire i ask Dr Loh but he said it is ok to go ahead. but I’m worry dont want to fail.

Agree my clock is ticking...just need to let out

In my 1st IVF, that time my doc was Dr Sheila Loh, she has decided to put 2 embroys for me. I guess it depends on your age and case. Back in 2006, there wasn't any subsidy from govenment so the queue was not very long.

During my recent FET, I chose to put only 2. I am not ready to have triplets. Another doc put for me because Dr Loh Seong Feei was not available.

I did 2 IUI in KKH and 1 in Thomson Medical Centre. All failed. So I returned to KKH for the IVF. It was a long road for me but I am glad I did IVF.

Have you sat down and discuss with your hubby? Can you cope with 1 salary? It's very stressful when you are pregnant and always have to worry about financial problem. Just my 2 cents worth.

I heard that he will be on leave, r u aware the the KKIVF will be close??

I just call KKIVF, yes they will be close in Dec for the lab only so FET is ok but Dr Loh will be on leave from 14 Dec 09 till 2 Jan 10. All fresh cycle will be postpone.
 
Singapoh and other sisters, i've noticed that IUI's success rate is not very high. i'm very curious why so many people choose it first over IVF? Cheaper and shorter process? Or is it usually the first recommended by doctor if there aren't serious infertility problems?

IVF is a big thing. A lot of pain, expensive and long process. So try IUI first. Maybe you get lucky. You will never know till you try it.

Icic.. Then why didnt you go back to Dr Sheila Loh then? Is it cos Dr Sheila Loh left and joined Raffles Hospital already?

I'm very worry, and hubby kept saying just trust Prof, and doesn't let me go for another scan next week since Prof said 2 weeks later.
So i just put my faith to God's promise.
 
oxidised, thanks for sharing. So it took almost 1 month for u to clear the OHSS, poor thing.

I saw Dr Yong today, confirmed that I don't have OHSS at this point and 9 embryo are very good, so she recommended to culture 3 till blastocyst and transpl on Sun and freeze the other 6. She added that at blastocyst, the success rate is about 50%, I'm so happy and excited. I'll be transplanting 2.

Hope to have a BFP in 2weeks. By the way, when can I do HPT after ET?
 
Yes Tickles. Dr SF Loh took over Dr Sheila Loh when she moved to Raffles hospital.

Somebody asked about my diet during IVF. Can't remember who liao. I didn't have any special diet. Just eat healthily as usual.
 
Vi4n, don't worry too much. I am sure everything is ok though you don't hear the heartbeat yet. Maybe it is true, it is too small.
And I ever read somewhere on the net that pregnancy over IVF is usually not the same as natural conception. Maybe that is the reason why no heartbeat yet. I assume IVF pregnancy is developing slower but healthy. Take care of yourself.
 
I started stage 1 today. there is no pain at all. I dun feel a single thing when I inject myself, but am scared of the side effects. Now, am feeling sleepy n irritated.. Not sure if coz of the jab.. Sigh..
 
oxidised, Hm.. Maybe my mind is running wild... Do u go cranky at stage 1? Injections are not scary. I dun hv fear at all.. But the side effects I am really scared. Every pt, I get the effects of post ovulation, pre n post menstrual stress.. So I doubt I can go through wat u went through.. U r really a winner...

Hazel, you've finally started.. Take it easy and just take it as it comes. It differs from person to person. I didn't get any symptoms at all for stage 1 & 2.

spiffy, I inject myself is painless. Dun feel a thing. He just sits there n maybe help me with alcohol swap. If He injects for me I am not so sure abt that.
