Rostrum, to us Prof is ok. During the 1st few consultation he talked to us friendly and all. I told him about what we have gone through and what i expected from ivf, and he agreed and also with hubby sperm quality i told him i want ICSI and he agreed too. Only during gonalf scan then we don't talk much but later stage then he will tell me on the follicles sizes and etc. So i'm ok with him.
Monica, I think we have the same measurement for the lining 9mm.

my hubby is super scared of needles and hates bitter medicine, he don't even dare to watch me inject lucrin jabs. I had to use threats and force to make him go for Dr Zou first visit. He was so stressful at 1st visit, cold sweat, fear, etc. Lucky he didn't scream out in pain when the first accupuncture needle went in, if not i will not know where to hide my face. He complained of pain on the accu place after the session. But subsequent visits, he began to relax and with Dr Zou advice, he told her which part is pain and need to re-adjust the strength of electricity. Eventually, he could even fall deep asleep during the sessions. For daily herbs, i also had to nag at him before he takes it. So fear can be overcome and rest assured that the accu needles are very fine, not painful. Do give a try.

Maybe your case a bit special so Dr loh really look into it.. for us it is like a regular unsuccessful case of ivf to him so he did not care much. Nothing comforting or encouraging came out from his mouth. I had a very bad experience from him. Anyway, it is good you are comfortable with him all the best to you.

But I'm glad you pulled through the whole ordeal and came out a much stronger person!
Meanwhile, you can try to do a mini-confinement and go Dr. Zou there to "tiao" your body. Don worry. When you see her for the first time, tell her you are scared of needles so that she will know your fear and will reassure you while she's doing the accupuncture. I have heard her reassuring a lot of ladies and guys who seem afraid of the needles or the procedure.

The Novena session starts from 9am and the last session is at 7pm. 3pm session is mandarin session and the rest is in English.
It's only half an hour session. If you are driving, try to reach there 15min to the next hour so that you can easily get parking lots when people starts to leave.
I didn't managed to complete the 9 novena before my IVF but hubby and me continue to go even till now.

Hi rostrum, on the spot i cant remember the stat. But his result is something called terrazoospermia sound like that. When i google it, it said this type of quality will have very little success to penetrate to the follicles so it is best to do icsi. In fact i wasted money on iui. Should jus ivf from the first if i have done a better research.

Hi Ladies,
today is my D6 after ER. I ussualy never eat breakfast but always feel hungry after ER. After dinner yesterday, my stomach was so bloated and very uncomfortable even until now. its might be over eat or just too bloated to take anything in. I only have 11 Follicles retrieved and dont think its OHSS right?? Is anyone always similar case as me??

NUH Prof Wong is on leave from 9-13Dec. But the CHR lab will still be open. as long as CHR is open, IVF can stil be done by other doc provided you don't mind is nt done by Prof Wong personally. CHR lab will only be close in Feb10 during CNY for washing...that is the time when IVF cannot be done.

hi same...my huby's SA also terrazoospermia +the word "SEVERE"...but prof Wong refuse to let me do ivf until i tried out iui at least once...so as expected, it failed..other than yr DH spem proble, do you have any problem?

i went to visit prof Wong in sep..telling him i wan to do ivf using nov menses..he say ok..because chr lab will be open in dec...
but he wil lbe on conf from 9-13dec. so if your ET is during that period, then prob u might wan to consider that...or if u dun mind it is done by other doc..so have u decide wich mth menses u wan to use for ivf?u have any frozen one?

hi hope, I hav not decided which mth of AF to use. I consulted him last mth and he wants me to redo my all BT ( which is about 1yr old) . So I foresee my BT will be in Oct but he wants to see me as well.. so I am not sure if my visit will clash with his vacation dates.

Hi ladies,
Today will be my 7th day of Lucrin jab. I've been feeling nausea and vomiting out whateve i eat almost everyday. I thank god injection hasnt been much of a prob except for d initial ant bite feel but Im feeling tired easily.
Past 2 days, I've been having a very painful sensation in my lower abdomen area(like those menses cramp feel). Is this normal?

During Lucrin stage, AF is still expected so most probably your menses is coming.

Thanks for the info. I have been feeling realy tired lately, I donno if its the jabs or just my work pilling up with deadlines or Hari Raya visiting..
Either way, im stressed about the amt of work i have to finish(not only at workplace but must ta pao home) and d fact that Im goin thru IVF.
Cried bucket loads of tears last nite for the slightest reason - havnt set exam papers.
Im not sure if im doin all this at the right time. *sigh*

Relax.. you need to have a very relax mind to create positive energy for IVF. I was also v stressed up during my failed cycle. So u must learn the lesson from me. I know it is hard to do but try to find sometime to calm your mind, reinforce your goal to have baby..

Hi Vi4n, good number of follicles and sizes. I am also scheduled on wed. But was wondering none of them reached to 20mm so asked the african dr but she said to take pregnyl jab tonite. I really wanted to have puregon one more day.
My follicle scan results with lining 11mm:
RT:18, 17.5, 17.5, 14, 14, 13.5, 13, 11.5, 11
LT:17, 16.5, 16.5, 16, 15.5, 15, 14.5, 14, 8.5
Shiny wld like to ask you how many eggs where fertilised out of the 11. As mine also 11 are promising is what the Dr said.

Will be going for scanning to check out the tube 1st, before proceeding with SO-IUI (semi-IVF as told). I read that some of you are on lucrin for a few weeks 1st before puregon. May I know why is it required, as my gynae did not mentioned to me this.
Also what's the chicken essene about and when does one takes it?

Gloria, at 9am i was already done and sitting at the level 3 sofa already. Now back at nuh for 230appt.
monica, how come u can know so detail on your follicles sizes? Here dr or prof only measures those big in size. I think i have 3 or 4 in 20 and 21mm. Then 1 or 2 from 17 to 19mm. Thats all i know. hope, i did 3 times iui before starting this ivf. Actually if hubby sa is terrazoospermia can go for icsi already. Dont understand why prof doesnt allow that.

I heard that going for 9 sessions will do.I am a catholic, but I went for my very first novena only couple of months back, intending to do 9 sessions straight, but after 3 sessions, I realised that novena must be done 9 weeks ( novena is only on sat at novena church) as every week, encompasses different lessons. For those who wish to, I strongly encourage you to drop in a prayer request in the request box as the priest at novena will pray for you and all other letters for 9 weeks. As whether or not your prayers for a successful ivf will be granted, I am in no position to say, but y not, just try praying for a healthy baby and maybe Mother Mary will intercede for you to God and your wishes might be answered. When she as answered your prayers, please drop and thanks giving letter into the same request box to thank Mother Mary for her blessing.
