Hi Babylow,
Sorry to hear that. Is this ur first cycle? I heard that it is mostly unlikely to get preggy on the first cycle as ur body is not used to the hormones etc. Hence the FET would have a higher success rate.Take care. Enjoy ur life as per normal....can still lead a fulfilling life without kids at the moment right?

yah better take some egg whites. I dont feel bloated at all this time, bcs I am on FET, and had no ER/jabs at all. Feelvery normal. ALso a bit worried as not feeling anything yet.
Take 2-3 egg whites/day and fish and anything with protein in it. And lots of water to flush out the hormones that are causing te bloatedness. It worked for me last time.

You were asking abt egg whites...They should be started when you start your jabs to make the eggs grow. it helps with the quality adn quantity of the eggs adn later on is for the bloatedness and to prevent OHSS.

BTW, I was told by the nurses last time, that if the blaotedness gets worse towards the last fewdasys of 2ww, most likely you're pregnant, bcs the baby's producing the hormones too adn making it worse.

today is the 12th day after my ET and sometime i still feel bloaded. not sure if it is because i have drank too much water or eat too much...aiyo i start to worry

i will try to eat lots proteins..nowsaday, i tend to look for food with soup and i can drink a lot of the soup. that could make me feel very bloaded after eating..sigh

the pain has subside now.. i don't need to hold my tummy when i walk. the occasional aches are there.. but bearable. yeah, you'd want more eggs but at the end of it, its worth it if its positive.

i said earlier, taking ENSURE milk. its high content in protein is a good substitute for egg white. my bloating has lessen although still obvious. other than that, nurse says, no restrictions to eat anything. anyway, i think implantation happens WITHIN the 7 days..

i'll psyche myself up lah.. but nurse says can take alternate days, 2 eggs in 1 day. its good enough. just now the nurse who did my jab, told me, if i dun wanna drink plain water only, i can take ribena. haha.. avoid orange juice(don't like,anyway) or cabbage, beans or food that gives u gas. she said bloating is a good sign especially during the 2nd week of 2ww. she said i'll feel fat.. haha.. if bloating continues, its a good sign.

bloating is a good sign. hehe.. the nurse told me that even though you take loads of fluid, egg whites, the bloating could be worse.. not just the lower tummy.. right up to your stomach area.. and that, is a very good sign. hehe..

was called up a day earlier for pregnancy test today(only D9 after ET).. And yes, it's a positive. As my hormones level is high so doc mentioned it might be twins... Scan in 3 wks time..

I feel bloated too after every meal and every after glass of water. Maybe it's a good sign for you.I don't keep track of my temperature except that I also feel warm in the middle of the nite.

Hi everyone, I'm new on this site and I really need some advice. I've been unsucessful with 3 sessions of IUI. My doc suggest further investigation - that I have laproscopy before moving onto IVF. At this stage, the issue lies with my husband's motility. Is laproscopy necessary before proceeding onto IVF? Has anyone done it? I'm feeling nervous about this. Thanks.

yes...they will extract all of it whether they are right size or not. Don worry eventually your eggs and the little tapo will meet. Those that don meet will go for ICSI.

I'm still considering whether to go thru FET this Oct due to my bro's health problem. May have to depend on how his health proceed before deciding. Can't take stress during the 2ww so better be sure. Anyway, u take care. Do share your little ones growth with us ok?

My last tried i got 20eggs but only 4 fertilise. Put in 2 the previous round now left with 2. Quite worried the last 2 embies cant thaw well as doc say my eggs quality not so good. Too thick and required to go thru ICSI. Wanted to go thru a fresh cycle to have higher chance but doc advise not to waste this 2 and is cheaper for FET.

Y do u need a laproscopy for when u going thru IVF? Do u have cyst? Is the cyst big?
I went thru laproscopy but that is becos i have endometriosis.

Thanks for your reply. Doc suggest further investigation before proceeding to IVF - to check for endo/fibriod, etc. But I'm not sure if it's necessary. Btw, if you don't mind me asking, how did you know that you've had endometriosis? Were there any symptoms?
 
Dear Percy,
I got endo, too and recently failed in my 1st IVF. I underwent laproscopy and hysteroscopy and only discovered that I was endo sufferer last year. According to my gynae, my endo was bad. How bad, I did not check with him. During my ovulation period, I had lot of brown discharge accompanied with pain and cramp. Right now, I am giving my body a break.

If you have no underlying problems like cycts or endo, i do not think you have to go thr lap prior ivf. Some doc (there's one that i know) may suggest that to profit from it.

Yes it's normal forthe white discharge. Had it last time too. its bcs of the progesterone we are all on... its also making me have pimples, heavy boobs and cranky- ask my husband!!

JIA YOU,everyone.Wish all of u will be promoted to motherhood soon.Chk w u ladies,the progesterone,do u jab everyday?Can I buy back the med & ask my neighbourhood GP to jab instead of travelling to & fro to KK.My last preggy,i had this jab for almost into 3 mth of my preggy before Dr stop saying bb r more stable,that why I am very concerned if this really make a diff to stablise the embryros in implantation too.

I will be going for my ER tomolo.Really scare of my eggs is not of gd grades.Doc say most likely is only 10 eggs so I think chances of going for blastocyts stage is very slow liao.Anyway just take a step at a time,& see what Dr Loh suggest.
 
hi all,

im suppose to have my first scan on the 17th. but last night i have some bleeding, so went to see gynae today. i got triplets but downgraded to twins. saw 2 heartbeats only. cos one of the sac is empty. saw the 2 heartbeats. according to the doc, bleeding might be due to the shrinkage of the 3rd sac and it is suppose to go away by itsslf soon. given 2 weeks mc to bedrest. very worry now. now need to jab twice a week to stabilise. praying hard that everything will be fine.
 
Hi YCK, pls dont stress yourself with worry. Im sure your twins will be fine. Just continue to rest as much as you can and eat well. Try to avoid walking too much.

I too had a scare on the day of my 1st scan, I had some bleeding but all is ok now. I think it was all the walking I was doing during the two weeks. Was buying maternity clothes cause cannot fit into my old clothes. Im carrying twins too.

Pls pls dont worry as that puts more stress. Your babies will be ok.

My discharges are from the cyclogest that I insert into the vaginal. I don't really feel anything while 10days waiting except sore breasts. Dun worry, you will get a positive soon, that will be your bday present. When I did my blood test, told the nurse, I prefer to see the doc and for him to review us the result.But the whole afternoon of suspensions were terrible. Hang on till the 18th for your beta test.

Im taking folic acid and iron (advised by the doc),also taking evening primrose oil and fish oil. Not too sure if I should stop taking EPO and fish oil or not...Good luck for your beta test sooooon.

Yes Im carrying Twins. Im only 9 weeks at the moment. I think my tummy was just extremly bloated after the whole IVF treatement thats Y I couldnot use my own clothes and had to go get maternity ones.. Now its all back to normal. Hmm when I came back to work when I was 5 weeks, my collegues said they can see baby bump. I think it was the bloated bump. hehehe.. I would say I showed at 5 - 6 weeks plus. tummy growing as we speak. hehehe..

Hows ur eating habits?? Im so hungry every few hrs... I will have my breakfast at 9am in the off, I have glas of milk/bread n cheese at 11am, Lunch at 12noon, Yougart/sandwich/fruit at 4pm, tiny snack around 6pm and than dinner around 7.30pm. Im oks after dinner. I will have a glass of milk before I go to bed.

Feel like a pig but from the 6weeks to 8 weeks I lost 3kg. hehehhe. So the babies are eating all my food. I dont mind.
 
Baby Low and bakaholic, I'm halfhearted about laproscopy and doubt I'll go through with it. I'm 37 and not too keen on the recovery/waiting period prior to IVF. Guess I'll have to leave it to fate, embark on IVF next month and see what happens. My husband and I will discuss with doc end of July.

Only after reading the previous threads, I came to terms that IVF comes with lots of emotional, mental, physical strength and I really respect all your endurance and belief. And I've not even started but I'm thankful for this website. Good luck for all mummies to be!

For my case,my hb & me also went for laproscopy before embark on other treatment.Straight aft that I get preggy naturally.However when trying for no 2,I did 1 IUI but failed.That was many yrs ago.Now dun want to wait further,which make me start IVF now.

I'm seeing Dr Fong Yang at Paragon. Had a chat with my hb and he thinks laproscopy may be a good idea before starting IVF. I guess time is playing on mind, having gone through 2 IUI on clomid and 3rd IUI with puregon injection, I'm starting to get weary and confused. How long does it take to recover from laproscopy?

Dr Zou said it is normal to have bruises after acu. I did experienced sharp pain after my first few acu, was tols that probably the current was too strong. The last time I went for the acu, i asked Dr Zou for a mild current, and I feel much better.

i really got the itchy hands cos i bought the urine test kit from guardian. i got 1 line in light pink and the other in dark pink..i dont know if i really pregnant..sigh..

when is your acutal test date? btw i got positive from my own test 10 days past transfer. yours should be quite accurate if you did not have any hcg shot during the 2WW for support.

wil try to rest as much as possible. now go toilet also worry to see blood. according to the doc i may have a bit a spotting when the sac is shrinking.

what is the dosage of the pregnyl you took? read from somewhere on the net it reduce by half every 36 hours but it depends on individual too. some faster some slower.

for my centre, they do not give me any hcg shot during the 2WW. tat time i also itch hand go test. my centre do not do blood test only urine test.

each injection is 1000units (0.2mls) of pregnyl. i had the first injection is on the day of ET and then followed by every 3days once. hmm..i think the urine test cannot be trusted and one of the line is quite faint.

These few days I start to eat quite a lot. I didn't realise until my hubby mentioned. Besides 3 meals, I will eat chocolates and yougurt...
Did your doc mention that we should avoid caffeine, unripe fruits, cosmetics with Retin A and Retinol...?
My scan for babies heartbeat will be on the 4th aug.
Are you having pregnyl jabs every few days?
