hey ladies..been awhile.. just wondering if any of u here had done iui in other hosp apart frm NUH.. i just went for my appt in NUH again yesterday for my scan on my follicle growth.. the nurse mentioned the next round the scan rates gona increase.. the IUI procedure rate too! :( (Scanning rate increase from $38 to $120! Iui procedure was $360 or somthing like that now $706 - If i remember the exact nombers..was too shock yest wen the nurse told me) Mind sharing wats the price like in other hosp?

Have you done any test on your immunity? Such as on natural killer cells, whether you have blood clotting issues tt prevents implantation? After i failed my first ivf i went for a whole lots of test and unfortunately i found out tt i have elevated killer cells and antiphospholipid syndrome. So gotta check myself in with a rheumatologist to work hand in hand w my fertility doctor. Am currently almost 12 weeks pregnant now after afew miscarriage n failed transfer! Do check w ur doctor?

that's like a huge jump, like at least double?!..i hope you heard it wrongly..

so long as your cramps are not extremely painful to the extent of breaking out into cold sweat and not limited to only one side of your tummy and spotting, you are safe. If experienced the above, it could be ectopic.

Did so-iui at Tmc few years back.. think it cost at least 2k ++

I have read that supplementing with co-enzymeQ10 and also Zinc can help with testicular production of sperms, worth giving it a try. Maybe can also consider fertilAid supplements for men (must be taken at least 3 months to see effect)
 
For those who have used Utrogestan, does a lot of (leftover) white milky discharge flow out? I’m wondering if I didnt insert deep enough? I pushed them in as far as my finger allows... and if so much comes back out, am I absorbing enough?

hi dear..was told to rest for ard 10-15min after inserting.. but sometimes also i hv those white residue..i suppose its ok. wear pantyliner..
 
Hi all, for those ladies who had failed fresh cycle, how Long did u waited before going for frozen cycle?

My last fresh cycle the embryo implanted but did not grow well so was terminated via inserting cycotec.

I am thinking of doing IVF at Sincere IVF under Professor Ng but is worried about the cost. can you tell me how how is the estimate ?

Hi Honeypokey, its in the range of about within 100 if i recall correctly.. its a simple procedure done at his clinic. I would say even though Prof might not feel the evidence for endo scratch is strong, but he is willing to do it for you if u ask him, esp for recurrent implantation failures.

Hihi, sorry for my late reply. Hi Sevs, thanks for sharing, may i know where u did yr immunity checks? I’m not sure whether my dr is willing to do the check on me. Probably my next checkup, i bring it up to him and see what he says. Thanks for sharing

Hi Ladies, I'm new here in this forum.. I'm 33 this year and just started my IVF journey.. My DH had just done his SA today and I will be gg for my sonography test coming August follows by seeing the dc..I wonder if there is someone here whom had gone thru IVF after getting their tube tied/Tubal Ligation? I had my tube tied 9 years back right after delivering my 2nd child and now regretted doing so..My 1st marriage did not turn out well and went into a divorced..I remarried to a wonderful man 2yrs back.. and now both of us wanted a baby of our own soo much..so the only best way is to go thru IVF.. Can i know how is the journey like etc.painful?? I heard some say it's not n some claimed it's painful..Btw any success stories after 1st IVF try?? Appreciate the advice and baby dust to all!!
 
anyone here with Dh having way below average SA result? mind sharing things that help with the count motility, morphology?

Some say TCM, some say Swimming in cold water, take cold shower, wear loose underwear, drink cold water..

If doing ICSI, then I feel as Long as they can find sperms with normal motility and morphology then should be fine

Hi Laalaa,

Dont worry too much about the pain and needles, the nurses will do a good job going through it with you, and quite frankly the injections are usually not too painful, a little like an ant bite or less :) you will get the hang of it pretty fast. If tubal ligation is the only reason for infertility then the success rate is high :) good luck!
 
can gonal f be injected at a 45 degree ? i was told by nurse cetrotide can be done this way so wondering about gonal f. because these few days i find that it stings when i try to inject gonal f 90deg.

Hey jayjayqueenie, yes both 45 and 90 degree injections are ok. The idea is that the medication has to be inserted into the subcutaneous layer, and at 45-90 degrees, the needle would deliver the medication into the right space :)
 
my er is estimated to be on this friday.
after that i have thyroid appointment on 02 Aug.
will i be well enough to go for that appointment ? anyone still feel sore a week after er ?

Hey dear you definitely will be able to attend the thyroid appointment in a week’s time! Will u be doing a fresh transfer? The thyroid appointment will be important to make sure your TSH level is under good control as well to increase your chances so dont miss it!

Should be ok ba.. cos if say not doing fresh transfer, usually 1 week of HL is enough? I went back to work like 2 days after ER when not doing fresh transfer
