Seeking some kind advice over here. Anyone experience increased heart rate or breathlessness?
Is this just a side effect? Or a symptom of OHSS?

Me! After et i tend to on n off experience increase heartrate n breathless but after awhile will gone by itsself
 
Hi ladies , is it recommended do acupuncture immediately after ET?

My hubby kind a worry . But I just want to ensure it help me better implant . Any advise? Thank u

Different people and tcm advocate different view on this. But the tcm I go to does acupuncture after et but they don't use electricity current.

tested baby, husband and me. in the end the problem is me. diagnosed balanced chromosome. the baby was ok though! i.e the 12% of pregnancies that baby is normal, so it was really really rare. but i still miscarriage! no reason given.

Hugs happynods... total understand how u feel. Mine also no reason given.. Feel extremely painful when my doctor told me everything is normal..

Thanks Pinkiebb. I m under Thomson Chinese medical group , I signed up 6 times $480 just for this IVF cycle . She didn't advice me anything , just asked me come n do acupuncture immediately after ET..
 
Hello ladies,
I am a graduate from this thread in 2010 and now i am back cycling my 2nd fresh hoping for my no.2.

Any ladies here are cycling with dr lc cheng ?

Just had my ER done last week with lucrin as the ripening jab and had pretty bad ohss (low blood pressure and severe abdominal pain) right after ER.

Pain was just too unbearable and gotta SOS dr via emergency consultation on that same night. Now my ohss is more or less settled and i am on post retrieval day 6 waiting anxiously for blasto culture updates from the lab.

However my AF reported yesterday and i cant pop norethisterone until the lab have officially freeze my embryos.

Wanted to ask if any ladies had similar experience as me where ur AF reported during post egg retrieval (day 5-6) ? If yes what medication did your dr prescribe ?

Strangely at NUH, i cannot have full bladder when im doing endo scratch. The nurse and doc always ask me to clear my bladder for endo scratch. I did it 3 times already.
 
Ladies, I need some advice here.

I did hpt on both the cheap strip and clear blue. Came out to have two faint lines and a '+' sign. What is worrying is I have been experiencing spotting/light bleeding since Monday and hence the earlier assumption of BFN. Yesterday flow seems a bit heavier especially when I wipe myself after each trip to the toilet. In the evening, I also saw a clot in the toilet bowl. The spotting/ light bleeding is mostly dark brown and at times, red. I am waiting for my BT results and praying hard that this pregnancy is viable. I have no snow embbies.

Any sisters here have similar experience and can share what I should or should not do? What kind of support should I request? I told the nurse this morning and she asked to wait for BT outcome. The wait is tormenting...

Brief background
1st fresh IVF - ER 8 follicles, only 2 fertilised and transfered - BFN.
2nd fresh IVF - ER 5 follicles, only 2 fertilised but didnt survive for transfer on D3. Devastated.

Currently:
3rd fresh IVF - Doc suggested long protocol. Injecting Suprefact, Menapor, Gona F and growth hormones. Did my scan today, and only 4 follicles. Size ranging from 12-6.
Doc didnt look to positive. Only said can retrieve only 1 for this cycle. I am even more devastated then before. Some of medication and injected so much of hormones into my body but sad to hear that only 1 can retrieve. How can i increase the sizes of the other eggs so that by my next scan they are grown more?

Im 38 and desparately want a baby. I dont know what else to do. NUH admin clerk told me that i may have enough grants for one more Frozen only but that is provided i have enough for this 3rd fresh cycle to freeze. If not i can do frozen but pay cash up to the procedure for ER. Procedures after that will be covered under grand where there's enough.

Help me! I need a miracle. Im totally devastated.

Why is this happening to us? Why do we have to go through so much injections, hormonal wreck situations, headaches, backaches, emotional drains, lack of support from colleagues and yet we dont see any positive light from the IVF journey.

Stay positive..though IVF is a number game, you never know; some ladies got their bundle of joy with one golden embryo..at the very least, your doc mentioned that they can retrieve 1 from this cycle.

I suggest you can start to have high protein food esp egg whites (yes, the nurses and docs keep emphasizing on egg whites, but we seem to be more focused on other stuff). Approximately 3-5 egg whites per day?

I think you have to wait for the HcG level to be released to you. If it's double digit, most likely they will ask you to come back for another BT to see if your levels double or triple. You may want to request for a support jab.

There are some cases whereby some ladies bleed before BT and managed to deliver successfully.

hugs. its best to wait till BT outcome to determine if it might be a chemical pregnancy. if the numbers are good, try asking for progresterone support jab. i would go "stalk" dr thh at clinic d now if u are still in kkh. he will get the results earlier than kkivf call to you so you might get some advice directly from him.

Hi wanbaby, pls stay positive .
I also doing my 2nd fresh IVF and I also almost 40 .
As other ladies mentioned, try take more eggs white and increased protein , and I m not sure u wan go try acupuncture .

We all went thru a lot of difficulties n pain .. We all here to support each other .

Thanks sisters. Just got an update - HCG level only 175 and need to repeat test on Monday. I need to go back to collect support medication but no mention of jab. So I should request for one? Do I need to see the review doc or nurse will just administer if I request?

I think Dr Tan not back until tomorrow. Sighs so worrying and sounds so much like a chemical pregnancy. I need to pray hard for a miracle now.

Miloqueen, I was in the similiar situation as ou 6 years ago. Spotted like siao! ... Just do bed rest as much as possible and stay positive. If results if BPF, you can request for Proluton jabs and if possible request your clinic to monitor ur beta on a 48hr/72hr basis... it should double up progressively.

Also to add on, Dr Zou who was my TCM advised me to eat lotus roots glutinous rice porridge too.

You need to go back to KKIVF to get the prescription for the support meds. So you tell the nurse you want a support jab and see what they say.

Don't worry for now..just wait for the numbers to double or triple..

IF you are not able to get the support jab, some ladies actually went to private gynae to get that support jab.

Don't worry so much for now, 175 is not that low. Most impt is the numbers must double. U transferred 2 right? Hopefully it could be one implanted, body is shedding out the other. Just to share, for my #1, my reading was only 231 on day 17. If possible, request for the jab, n try to rest as much as possible over the weekend. Wishing u all the best!

Thanks bbcripps. Yes, I transferred 2 blasts. Other than jab and more rest, did you take anything to help with the situation? Should I continue with LRD tea, chicken soup, durian etc?

I did acupuncture on same day after ET before or a few days after ET before. My last FET which gave me my bfp, I did one a few days after then another one a few days before BT was due. Depends on your tcm physician and your previous treatments, also if your physician is apt in using customised techniques to complement your Ivf stages. If you have never done acupuncture before ET, I wouldn't advise to start at this point though.

Since implantation has taken place and it's confirmed that you are pregnant, you can slow down on these things as they may be too "heaty"...but you try not to take cold stuff too...

Can alternate to keep the womb warm and stable?

I find LRD ok if not boiled but soaked in hot water... But I feel the black chicken soup effect like almost immediately, feel warm... My chicken essence is Brand's so also ok, not v strong...
