Oh ya just to check with you ladies, after failed cycle do you experience anything different in your cm? Now that I am approaching ovulation cm start to appear and when I wipe I find a little stain of brown (like leftover blood) I hope to able detect double line in opk soon so at least I know my body is back in production.
 
Ic. I think comfort with doc is very important too. It somehow up our confident and assure us that we are safe in their hands. We are women soldiers, fighting till the very end :)
 
Thanks for concern sisters. Am back after seeing prof. He did a scan n all inside was normal. He said pain most likely due to endometriosis n adenomyosis. He referred me to dr fong for apot in 22 jan. He said pregnancy is one thing but need to solve my pain problem as its disrupting routine life. Most likely need laproscopy to check insides n mite remove the two cysts. Only worry next cycle will delay n need recovery time if go for lap n also amh will drop further. I will take dr fong opinion but if have to surgery mite go to dr tan at kk as my insurance cover 100%. Haizzz hope my pain doesn't worsen n can be controlled by painkiller. Think after prof did scan af start liao. Also did hcg dont knw y.
 
I think hcg was to make sure whether any pregnancy anot. What was your hcg level during your bt? So now af start full flow already? At least one thing off the mind. Mesara for your case I think if really need to do surgery to remove cysts get it done 1st cause if no remove it might affect your ivf cycle. So even you can go back for fet soon the results might not be good. Pray you can have a good rest tonight now that af is here.
 
It was less than 2.4. Af just started. Ya I will decide upon seeing dr fong. I need to tiao body as well. Supee cold hands n feet n poor blood circulation as well. Haizzz

Babygrin, good that u got an appt w dr tan so quickly. Update us again

There was a qn on dr tan siew buoy. She's v popular with ttc couples n dr Loh recommends her too. I started seeing her after I got pregnant the 1st round. More to get 'an tai' medicine. I had a smooth pregnancy, not sure if it's due to tcm herbs but my boy had really good lung power.

I saw her again ytd as I'm starting my fet. Only managed to get this date though I called her in end nov. Dr tan said babies who take an tai medicine hv strong lungs and they come out with full head of hair n don't fall sick easily. Very true I feel. I'm due for my u/s scan coming mon to check lining thickness. I sought her advice if I should proceed cos I hv slight cold n flu from my trip. Hands n feet feel a bit cold these 2 days too. She said she can't comment as she has not seen me for a long time n has no additional info (like lining thickness, BBT) to fall back on. After probing, my key takeaway from the session was if my lining is not ready on d13 (13 jan), then best not to proceed. So I'll see how the scan goes. Don't wanna waste my last 2 embryos. If not going ahead, I'll see her to tiao body first then fet in few mths time.
 
Hi everyone, I've popped last month n am gonna go toa payoh shuang Lin shi tmr to return 100 red eggs to zhu sheng niang niang. Free can go there n get the red eggs after 11pm ya. Bb dusts everyone :)

hi mesara, just to share abt my lap surgery a few yrs ago at tmc. the purpose of me having the surgery is to find out what was the reason of not able to conceive naturally after doing all the test and nothing wrong was detected. However, the surgery also did not manage to conclude anything but my gynae did 'burn off' some endometriosis that she found during the surgery... I did not find out if my insurance cover the cost of the surgery but was lucky to manage to do full claim in the end. As for u, i think the lap surgery is probably necessary to ease your pain... and u definitely need recovery time before u try again but its good for long term

Hi mesara... If its lining issue, any idea how i can improve it?cos wen i did my IUI previously, my lining had problem..but wen i did IVF, my lining was 12mm(triple)...Which was supposed to be good right??
 
santhiya, i think yours is not lining issue, i believe yours is egg quality. like what your doc mention to you after egg retrieval. if egg or sperm quality no good even if they manage to meet and fertilise to embryo the embryo cell wont grow to the right number and thus wont carry full term too. yours is likely this case, implant but for some reason it didn continue to grow afterwards. mine was also like that. thats why my 2nd iui ended in chemical pregnancy and 1st ivf was a low hcg of 3 (not preg since its uner 5) but then actually doc say its implanted but didn grow thats why the low beta. and doc didn suggest any endo scratch for me all this while maybe he dont see lining as an issue to me since both cases of mine did implant. lining 12mm triple is good already. in fact my 1st ivf last scan was only 10.8mm lining.

I hv a qns my last mc was similar bt my hcg was 48000.. Super high I guess for 5wks... By e way its frm clomid cycle.. By e 7wks still no heartbeat therefore e dr pronounce it at mc.. So is it e same s ur experience? ?
 
I wan to ask u girls...how long can i do ivf after iui? For eg, i m thinking of doing iui in feb...if failed, can do ivf straight in March?

48000 at wk 5 is very high. my beta was only at 155 from my 2nd iui, so kkh wants me to go back to test again after 2 days if it doubles good news if decrease means lost of pregnancy. indeed it decrease and all this while i am bleeding (i thought was iui fail menses came) but no its actually a sign of EARLY MISCARRIAGE which they call this as CHEMICAL PREGNANCY. before you even know you are pregnant you lost it as most ladies will thought its menses flow. for me i know its not menses as i went to test hpt 2 days later even though i am bleeding and it show does show positive. doc say for chemical pregnancy its normally the case of abnormal chromosomes (More than 50 per cent of miscarriages in the early stages of pregnancy are due to abnormalities of the chromosomes). as for my ivf beta of 3 that one not much explanation. implant and fail imediately i guess. maybe it doesnt even grow as far as my previous iui.

if your iui in feb fail (touch wood), you can start planning your ivf already. you will need to make aptm with your doc so he can prescribe the protocol for you and ivf will start when your next menses come depending on your protocol. so you probably see twice of bleeding before you start your injections.

I did medicated FET cos dr suspect I don't ovulate well or regularly.
My cycle can be 30+days or even 40 days, so medicated is best.
Have been taking E2 oral tabs from D4 to ET day.
Hv to use suppositories (progesterone) from d15 onwards.
Aiyoh, nv tried inserting via rectum b4.
So far only jabs n oral meds
 
Pumpkin_pie, all the best for ET on Friday. I just came back from my ovidrel trigger jab. Fingers crossed ER on Wednesday and ET on Friday also.

Just a Quick update - i failed my ivf with nuh in october And Will try again end of Jan with sf Loh in TFC
I have low amh hubby poor morpho (1%good morpho) am a Mum of a 5yo (managed to be preggie did not Know my condition at that Time) i had one Mc before And one Mc after
I d like to Know if i have cycle buddies here or sf Loh buddies or low amh buddies

Bliswifu, I am currently doing SO-IUI and I asked Dr Loh before if can do IVF after that. He said no problem but I would prefer to rest one cycle in between. Is yours SO-IUI or natural IUI?
 
Pumpkin, when do they start to thaw your embryo? Already Thawed or on Friday itself? Then this is consider how many days transfer?

Ladies doing natural fet in kkh, does doc still give you trigger shot after you detect LH surge in opk?
 
Hi sisters, im currently on my 2ww on my first ivf with Prof wong at NUH (did 4 so-iui @ RH). Looking forward to gather advice from you all as well as baby dusts ;). Btw, what is AMH? Sorry, still grappling with some of the terms o_O
 
Pumpkin_pie, I'm with raffles hosp. Very nervous about ER tomorrow after reading everyone's comments of the discomfort after that. I wonder whether will there be more jabs also. For ET, I was told will be given progesterone jab before the procedure. Wonder why? But will get to that stage if there is fertilization. So trying not to think too much.
 
Iwantahealthybb, based on what I hear from the nurse, they will only do the thaw on ET day.
That is y we r asked to bring a blank cheque.
In case no embryos survive the thaw, then can't proceed w ET n no need to provide cheque for Insurance.
Read embryo thaw survival rate is 75%. So hoping this is the case for me n most sisters.
Can still proceed w ET as long as there's 1 embryo to transfer.
But I just prepare for worst case scenario of no ET, so will go KKH on my own (hub on biz trip).
If ET can proceed, then will ask my dad to fetch me home n help take med from pharmacy. If not, i can just go home on my own.
Also heard that after ET, only 1-3 day MC is given for frozen cycle which surprised me.
Always Thot that 2 wks HL is given for all cycles.
Ok for me though as I planned to rest 3 days aft ET but I was just surprised.
Apparently, a longer rest period is given for fresh cycle due to the amt of hormones injected into body for fresh cycle. May experience fainting.
Mine is a D2 embryo (4 cell). I guess nv culture to blastocyst cos I only had 4 fertilized embryos when I did my fresh cycle in 2011.

Ladies I got admitted in kkh on sunday. Unbearable pain. They gave jabs few times and pain subsided. I am seeing dr tanhh. Most likely will go lap to check out whats happening inside. My previous lap was done in 2010 to remove dermoid cyst n burn some endo but the cycle aftervlap was super pain also. Didnt help. Hope this time it will.

bb blues how long u took to recover from lap and r u cycling now?
 
AMH, anti-mullerian hormone is to test estimate of our ovarian reserve.

Lap surgery takes about one week plus to recover.
 
For FET they will thaw on ET day itself. I had a call from embryologist at 0930 to inform me if embryo survived thaw and confirm ET will proceed. Mine was a D5 embryo.

I wonder for D2 embryo, can they thaw & continue culture till D5 blast?
 
I just spoke to dr tan. My first meeting with him. Hes v nice. He is against me going for lap. He wants me to be on lucrin 3 month jab then 10 weeks later start ivf. He said I cant solve pain n try pregnancy. It's either remove pain or pregnancy as amh will reduce with lap n that might not help with pain n cud scar tissues. Am just v confused now.
 
thanks pumpkin for the explanation. little things in life, i think they do thaw and try to continue to blast for earlier frozen embryo previously. as for our case when frozen is already blast probably they only need to confirm after thaw will survive then can transfer already. i heard that they time the transfer according to the stage of your embryo if its a d2 embryo then transfer is 2 days after ovulation detected/trigger shot, then if its day 5 blast then transfer is 5days after ovulation detected.

mesara, so mr tan suggest you to bear with pain if you want to do ivf to try pregnancy. so will doing lucrin injection reduce your pain temporary? did he say when will this pain subside? maybe you can go back to prof and tell him what dr tan say and ask his 2nd opinion? what cause the pain so suddenly?

you can survive the whole process not to worry. after er by right no more jab just need to wait for et to take place. the progesterone jab is to support pregnancy, some given jab some given inserts. i think jab dosage is stronger.
 
mesara, my Lap recovery is quite fast, about 5 days. Managed to remove severe endo and polyps. I am currently doing SO-IUI and if this IUI did not succeed, will do next fresh ivf in March.

What Dr Tan suggest is also a solution, he is preventing your endo from worsening by giving you lucrin. He is also right that the Lap may affect your AMH. Meanwhile don't think so much first, better to nurse back your health then consult another dr for 2nd opinion. Take care!

yes gigi you are right stay with the doc you are confident with. i have this yes no change no change mind previously esp when ivf fail, but i sticking with my doc. afterall our body plays an important part to the results of the ivf too. cannot blame the doc for the whole failure thing. anyway come to think of it mine is got implant but egg arrested so that explains my super low beta during BT. so guess my doc did his best for me. its my body.

I am also surprised that they dont give HL for 2WW!!! All the while i thought they give HL and I even pre-alert my boss that i will be away for 2 weeks for my coming FET.. oppss
