IVF at NUH--feedback pls

Jamp- did u have spotting after u take Dr Zou med for inducing menses?
I took since last thurs, having stain when wipe on tissue. That's it only, no full flow. But stain in red kind. I trying to take liang/ cooling food to induce but still not seeing full flow. Late for 11 days.
 


Blue, ya having staining every now and then, even b4 taking dr zou med, but no flow at all!!!!!!! I've tried all sorts, ice-cream, water melon, ice blended drinks etc

Oh yes, today is also last day of dr zou's 2nd dose of mense induction precription for me liao, Blue.

& both of our D & C done by prof! Could he have scrape too deep during the procedure?!

Blue, maybe yours coming cos you can see red staining. Mine is brown with occasional streaks of blood. Really frustrating lor!
 
jamp-I suppose to see Prof next week. I was thinking of asking him if no next menses then how?
If he was to give me hormone tablets, should I be taking? I was thinking all the hormones tablets again.........
My SIL had D&C done abt 3-4 weeks earlier than me, but was done in TMC. She already had 2 round of menses.
I'm worry that maybe he really scrape too deep, then what is the complication behind? We need to rest more months to try & concieve?
I going to take pineapple thie evening & see the effect.
Is so frustrating.
 
Hi Ladies,

just wanna have your point of view...

I suppose to see Prof Wong in mid of Jan for my first IVF consultation after which properly proceed to the protocol.

But i get to know that going through him does not have any subsidy which is a concern to me...

so may I ask If i go through polyclinic by seeing general IVF doctors, are the procedure the same? Will the treatment and result be as good as Professor Wong?

My issue consider complicated as due to my left tube is not functioning and right ovary eggs are not good enough.....so my worry that if i go through general way in order to get subsidy i may not get good result as Prof Wong...
 
Blue, i told dr zou i've tried all ways to 'self induce' menses incl water melon, she laughed and suggested pineapple, but she says all these 'liang' food will not cause mense to come but will affect implantation. She so cute hor

I asked Sharon before, she said wait till the 10th week, if still no menses get med from dr to induce, pray this will not happen to us. I'm afraid dunno how such med will affect subsequent cycles

Maybe prof too long nv do such procedure liao so scrape too hard??
 
I read from the other thread that the famous dr loh will do all procedures for his ivf patients and will even make sure their uterus are good enough for those complicated cases before they embark on their cycles. Read one about prof & dr fong recently, made me feel discouraged,

My menses did not come for about 2 weeks even after I took medicine to induce it. Then one day, my niece gave me a 1/2 glass of red wine to drink and I drank it. Then it came next day liao.

Blue, i think before embarking on nx cycle, be it your frozen or my fresh, better wait for normal cycle to come at least twice, this is my thought.

No use asking prof, when hubby asked him whether it's normal for mense to delay after d & c, he just said 'Oh YESSS'....this is frustrating to me ;P Think I'm beginning to feel negative abt prof, but hubby doesnt mind him :p

Then... reading the story of you ladies, made me cry. All of you are strong ladies.
Guess we all have our own share of hardship, but look for the bright side and we all will be happy.

Su, I only signed up swimming at Baby Spa for my girl, then at 10months the once a week play class.
Around 8months, you can just bring your girl to all the available trial classes. no need to sign up and pay 1 time. I did that everytime I can take a leave that that my leave will be meaningful.
Most importantly is seeing her enjoying all the activities.
If she doesn't enjoy it then no point.

Coming January she will start her playgroup 2 blocks away from our block. Though I'm very tempted to sign her up for a more branded playgroup, but I really don't want for her to spend her time travelling from 1 point to another point.
So yeah. I also try to be a relax mommy. I enjoy physical activities with her, or just snuggle with her watching tv. "P

I'm sincerely wish that all of you who are still trying will have this experience very soon.
Christmas time is here, ladies.. wishing you all miracle to happen..

Blue, may I know what your sil did the d & c for? cos dr zou says d & c for m/c is different from that for polyps/other problems. the former requires deeper scraping.
 
Jamp- sil did also becos of the same reason as us.
Her gynea told her that she won't scrape too deep, so that she k heal faster & conceive easier.
That is why I worry.

Dr Su straight away asked me whether I want to know the baby's gender during consultation. I didn't even have to ask for a scan. Hehe! Maybe the eagerness was written all over my face. :p Lol!

Vi, ok another point to remember, just go for trial class and it's free.. Hehe. True, our binding is much better than anything else.
 
Vi, thanks. I will try another FET again may be in Feb or March. But before that I am going to see TCM Dr to prepare my body. Made appointment but the earliest date I got is 19 Dec. And she speaks Mandrin and I don't. Haiz.. Just making appointment is challenging. The one who answered my call asked me to call back next day cos she doesn't speak English. Then I have to ask my friend to make appointment for me. Hopefully TCM Dr can speak simple English.
 
Su, It is not free... each time like $40-50. Kindermusik is $30. JWT gym maybe free.
So from her 4th month till 1 yr old, on her birthdate, i will take leave and arrange somewhere to do with her, either zoo, trial class, swim and etc.

Cool.. my BBT also very low for these few months, so like no ovulation at all. that's the push factor for me to try for fresh cycle again.

. I'm glad I chose her. The scan took a while though. Because she literally had to chase after my baby to see what's between his legs, "have to chase this little one" she said. This one is really active.

I'm 16.5 weeks, but I can already feel his movements, kicks and punches since about 14 weeks. Very subtle then, but now he's really making himself known to me! I just hope that I won't get a foot in between my ribs next time. Lol!

Jamp... Many things can happen in 3 months. In my case, many many food can be stuffed into my face! Lol! I'm just ravenous now that I'm pregnant. Same thing happened during my first. I just want to eat ALL the time. 4 kg is not much. Try 10!!! I cringe every time I step onto the evil weighing machine. :p Hahaha!

Hahahahaha!! Blue, the weighing scale has been our nemesis since it was created!! Everytime I went for my routine checkup, and asked to give my weight, I always wanted to say, "Can I choose NOT to????". Plus the weighing scale at the Women's Clinic is placed right in the middle for everyone to see!!! LOL!!
