IUI/SO-IUI: Anyone?

hi hi ladies,

just did another scan today. got about 25-30 eggs, sizes and lining okay. pregnyl jab at 9.30pm later, ER would be on wed. ER not as expected (today) as last sat scan shows egg growth not very progressive. wondering is it because of antagonist jab? >< anyway, now they are in good sizes praying for a smooth ER.

Laki gal, thanks, don't know when is ET yet. My doctor told me he will aim for Day 5 transfer but it all depends on my egg quality. He will call and let me know tomorrow. Don't worry your ET will be soon too. Take care of your body and soon you will be reunited with your babies soon!

I'm actually feeling pretty much recovered now.. Was worried initially cos doc gave me 1 mth hospitalisation leave, i tot recovery will take a long time.. Now just tummy still look kinda bulging.. My hubby said maybe cos the bulging fats were already there in 1st place.. He obviously got boxed by me.. Haha..

Diamond, hugs, we really know how you feel. No matter how positive we try to be, this journey does beat us down once in a while. It is really not easy but what is most important is that we pick ourselves up and trust that it will happen to us one day. Having said that, your AF is not here yet so hang in there. There is still hope!! You are already very strong to embark on this journey already! Jia you!

Saralyn, thanks, hopefully it will be D5 transfer. Doctor has not called me yet. But it's okay la, everything is to be out of our hands now. Last night, I was telling DH that we have done our job. I have grown the eggs and he has given his sperm. Now it is up to fate. Can only hope for the best now and prepare for the worst.

Doctor did not mention OHSS to me. I feel great today and strangely happy to be back at work. So hopefully, everything will be okay.

Min81 and Laki, thanks, ha ha, yes I am actually thankful for my fats now! By the 3rd and 4th week of jabs, my tummy was starting to look abused and those cushiony fats of mine made everything easier

Lil, 2day u r happy to b back at work while im feeling sad. My boss told me tat she had tendered. Haiz she is quite supportive of wat im gg thru n kep asking me to go ahead and not to worry about work. Give me time off for my medical appointment. Now she is leaving, im worry and wonder whether will my new boss oso b supportive of me. Scare will b those nasty boss who dont know wat we r gg thru n refuse to let me go for my medical appointment

Laki gal, don't worry about things that have not happened yet. It will only drain your energy. Who knows? Maybe your new boss is just as supportive if not more? Will your current boss be around when the new boss comes? Maybe you can have lunch with your current boss one day and casually mentioned if she can help you inform the new boss that you are going through TTC treatment now and how important his/her support will mean to you. Remember, you are in control of your life

Btw, i went back for my check up on MOnday and HCG Level dropped to 5.9 now.... Feeling kind of sad seeing bb go, went and gone just like tat...

But i still decide to go for IVF and see Dr Su to tiao my body after the injection cleared out of my body... Going to be strong and healthy so that i can do the ivf in next year...

Hi Ladies, more updates for you. My doctor just called.

Out of the 25 eggs that he retrieve, only 18 were useable.
And out of that, 14 eggs were fertilized.
He has now scheduled me for a D5 transfer so that will be this Saturday. I need to see his nurse this Thursday to get my jabs. I need to inject myself for 3 days. Don't know what it is for though. Overall doctor said that he is happy. I told him if he is happy, then I'm happy

Good to hear that your body is getting back to form. I only imagine how sad and disappointed you are. It is past now. Stay strong and look ahead. Who knows you may not need IVF and strike naturally! Take care!

Good to hear the injections are going fine.. I know how u feel but sometimes we just have to let go.. I remember my last night at the hospital where my mc has been confirmed but the foetal sac still couldn't be dispelled despite medication to stimulate contractions.. I kept telling my bb how strong she was to have fought all the way but it's ok to let go and leave mummy now so she can go to heaven and get stronger and God will send her back to me again soon.. I'm working hard now so my bb will come back to me and i'm sure you're doing that too.. Stay strong k..

I'm also planning to go to Dr Su in 2 wks time..

I getting abit bored for my 2ww already.. All my signs and symptoms disappearing.. And I got spotting over the weekend.. Nevertheless, I will still hope for the best.. Babies, be good and strong and grow well in mummy k..

Ha ha! It's funny how you say my body is good. My DH things that I'm sturdy like an ox! All I can say is I'm quite out of shape now as I have not exercised for almost 2 months. I am actually still bloated (but less than the last few days) and slight crampy this morning. Overall feeling good. Still taking it easy but happy to have work to distract me. I'm planning to work from home during my 2ww so hopefully it will go pass quickly too. Yes, I am very thankful for my doctor. He has made this journey very pleasant for me.

Stay positive. I always remember that chinese saying about how the boat will straighten naturally when it comes to the harbour. It basically means that things will always work themselves out in the end. Hope you know which one I'm refering to because I can't write it in chinese!

Recently i feel quite strange coz sometimes got sudden pain at my left waist n oso feel a bit bloated. Dh suspect could b ohss but then it had been few wks af my ER so it couldnt b ohss rite? Normally how long will ohss last?

Laki gal, since you got your AF already, I'm thinking this pain could be ovulation but maybe it's best to check with doctor. For me, I usually get a slight pain on the side where I'm ovulating every month and also a bit of bloating.

After my ER, I never thought of going back to work at all. Haha.. Just want to rest and let the cramp and bloatedness be gone.. Don't work too hard during your 2ww.. Stress is not good..

Laki girl: Yup.. Be positive for now.. Later then worry for issue happening later..

Regarding the pain, I also have that during my normal cycle.. The feeling I have is like the follicles growing out from my ovaries.. Sometime I will even have sharp pain.. I will think that is my ovulation.. Anyway, doc appointment is this Friday right? Ask her about it and do a scan.. For now, I can still feel pain at my ovaries.. Alittle worry but wait till my next doc appointment and see how..

Dian tang: I will talk to them once a day and will get my husband to kiss them goodnight too. Haha.. My husband worries I started to have hallucinations.. The effects of all those drugs I have been using since this ivf.. Haha..

My ET is this coming Saturday. I'm doing a D5 transfer. I am given antibiotics to avoid infection, estrogen pills and progesterone inserts to get the womb ready for embyro.

Lil Ponyo: I had a full bladder before the ET . For me it was quite unbearable cos of full bladder. The procedure was quite fast . After ET, i have to lie down for abt two hours . The embryologist show me the photo of my embryos . I almost tear when I c them.
