Help needed.

My wife is experiencing a white egg, reddish discharge after she express milk with the pump.
She seems to have clogged ducts and high fever.
This is the 2nd time.
The first time was on the right breast, with fever.
With massage, medication and frequently pumping, it went off.
This time round seems more serious.
After medication, pumping and massage, she still having fever and even saw the discharge.

My boy was born on 15Nov. This is the 2nd time in less than a month.
Any effective ways to stop clogging??
Any mama with similar issues?

Omg... you may bring your wife to doc, my colleague experienced the clogged ducts and got fever too..

she went to doc to check, all were inflammation and she has to go for ops..

Didn’t have much chance to check with her as she has resigned and back to her hometown..

Pls get a lactating consultant to have a visit at your place.

Check out Mrs Wong Boh Boi. She's a senior lactation and helped my friend with clogged duct. My friend says she's very good.

Changed the pump from Philips to Spectra, seems like my wife issue settled.

Maybe the philips pump not suitable.

Mayb Philips not strong enough... Medela is a good choice too..

Hi Brainy Smurf, which Spectra pump did you get for your wife? My Ameda pump also doesn't feel very effective.

I found this from the internet as well. So I went to kkh pharmacy and ask. They only recommended hot massage and frequent pumping.
They told me no medication have been proven to help ease. Not giving up, I went to ask my gp as well. I got the same answer.
