Hi. I posted some time back that my helper will be available to transfer at the end of this year. She will be available on Dec1.
She has worked with me since 1 Sep and have shown herself to be hardworking and willing to learn. She does not talk back, nor make requests or such. From the day she arrived in my household till now, she has not asked for anything. She gets along well with the kids (mine is a very demanding 2.95 yo and a monkey active 7 yo) but can give in to them too much - as in let them do whatever they want and be dictated to do silly things with them. My helper herself is about 28/9 and has 2 kids of her own at 3&4 yo. She can be a bit blur and you may have a little bit of communications problem with her if you expect her to speak fluent English. Her English has improved greatly from when she first arrived, and she takes pains to read children books at night to try and improve. So yes, you may need some time to get used to her talking style but won't need 5 minutes of exasperating conversation . Other than her English, you will probably not have much problems otherwise.
She is quick to step in to offer to take your things. But will not be quick to guess what you will want.
Overall, I think she will work well in a household that has people, and be told what to do. She has a good attitude towards work and has a genuine desire to earn money to send home.
I am posting all this not because I want any mummy to quickly snap her up, but because she is a genuine help to us so I hope she can find a good family to work with. As for why we are transferring her, it's because we need someone who is independent and able to stay alone at home with the kids and monitor with a firm hand. Our schedule is also quite difficult next year, and so I have to go for an experienced helper. Truly I hope I won't regret letting her go, but since we decided I hope she will find a good family to work with.
If you are interested after reading all this, pls drop me a private message or email me at [email protected] . You will still need to go to her agency as the agent will not hold for anyone unless confirmed,
Thanks for reading.
