Hi,
All this while, my ex hubby will give me maintenance and now suddenly gone. I did not know what should i do?
Should i go to his parents' house to look for him? Or just go to Court? If i go to court, will he be pissed off and did not want to pay me maintenance anymore? (Court order is to pay me $100 per month and slowly increased to $500 mutual agreement between both of us)
I intend to increase the maintenance, as my gal is growing up and needs more money. I did call up legal aid and they said i have to employ a lawyer. If i employ a lawyer and if he can proved that he is not able to support more than that, what should i do? (Heard he has married to a lady whom has kids means his earning can't cover for 2 families. I am not jealous and can't be bother he is attached or married. I am looking for money and not his life.)
I can't afford to employ a lawyer, as every single date or legal paper they did, we have to pay. Even the process of divorcee is paid by me too.
I did talk to a lawyer and she volunteered by asking me to pay her for 3.5k for her service just to ask the judge to allow my maintenance to go up to $500 per month. She did not mention it will definitely increased from $100 to $500.
Anyone can advise?

现在的律师是讲钱。跟专科医生一样。The Law Society and Medical Council有一套的收费准则。收费不便宜。

$3500 is a small fee for lawyer. To ordinary people, it looks quite a big sum. To be honest, Singaporeans spoilt the market.

现在，你前夫已经躲起来了。即使你找律师，向法庭成功提出调高赡养费，他未必肯付。你要有心理准备。

There are rich men who have good income, 死都不肯理赡养费。There are also unreasonable women demanding poor ex-husband to pay for high maintenance fees.

File for maintainence by yourself via family court.

The court will issue him a summon to appear in court. There's no way that he can run unless he's prepared to be jailed..

If you are applying to enforce an existing maintenance order, you must bring a copy of that order when you come to the Family Justice Courts to file your Magistrate’s Complaint. After your Complaint is filed, the Court will send the necessary papers to the authorities in the respondent’s country for enforcement.

There's no way that he can run.
